ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

The sun rises over a beautiful African plain, turning the sky a shimmering gold.  Creatures of every shape, size, and color turn toward the light expectantly.  Meerkats stand up on their haunches, water birds with long legs lift their beaks, gazelles stop their grazing, and a majestic cheetah stands atop a rock to get a closer view.  In flocks and droves, the animals begin moving across the plain.  The scene is one of breathtaking beauty and variety.  Waters teem with life.  A herd of elephants moves in front of a snow-capped mountain.  Gazelles leap and frolic.  A voice begins to sing: ♪ "From the day we arrive on the planet and, blinking, step into the sun.  There is more to see than can ever be seen.  More to do than can ever be done.  There's far too much to take in here.  More to find than can ever be found.  But the sun rolling high through the sapphire sky keeps great and small on the endless round.  It's the circle of life.  And it moves us all.  Through despair and hope.  Through faith and love." ♪ From tiny ant to tall giraffe, all the animals of the African plains gather at the base of Pride Rock to pay their respects to their king, the great lion.


Rafiki leads a weary Simba to the edge of the lake, telling him to look at his reflection in the water.  At first, Simba sees only himself.  Then, as he looks closer, he sees an image of his father superimposed over his own reflection.  Rafiki: "You see?  He lives in you."  Suddenly, the wind blows fiercely and lightning strikes from a large cloud overhead.  Simba hears his father's voice calling to him from the cloud: "Simba.  You must remember who you are.  The one true king."  Simba hangs his head: "I'm sorry.  I don't know how to be like you."  Mufasa: "As king, I was most proud of one thing.  Having you as my son."  Simba: "That was a long time ago."  Mufasa: "No, Simba.  That is forever."  The sky lightens and the cloud begins to dissipate.  Simba, fearfully: "Please!  Don't leave me again!"  Mufasa: "I never left you.  And never will.  Remember who you are."  As the last strains of Mufasa's voice drift away, Rafiki asks Simba: "Who are you?"  Simba, now bold and decisive where once he was weary and uncertain: "I am Simba, son of Mufasa."  Simba runs to the edge of the cliff, where he lets out a loud roar for all to hear.

A herd of wildebeests is stampeding through the canyon.  Simba races to stay in front of the pack, but his tiny legs aren't fast enough.  The lion cub ducks under an outcropping of rock and cowers there while the herd runs over him.  Scar runs to warn Mufasa that his son is trapped by the stampede.  The worried father immediately races to the gorge.  Meanwhile, Simba, terrified of the trampling hooves, has moved out again into the flow of animals.  He runs to an upturned tree and climbs onto a branch.  There he clings, terrified, as the wildebeests move around him.  The branch trembles and quakes as the animals continually knock the tree in their frenzied flight.  At last, Mufasa reaches the canyon and sees his little cub, stranded on the branch.  The lion begins to quickly descend the steep walls, yelling: "I'm coming, Simba!  Hold on!"  When Mufasa is nearly at the bottom, he boldly leaps into the middle of the fray.  Running along with the animals, he makes his way to the tree where Simba waits.  Just before he can rescue his son, however, he is knocked aside by a wildebeest and carried along in the current of animals.  Recovering himself with a roar, he runs back and grabs Simba, carrying him in his mouth like a kitten.  Just as he places Simba out of reach of the herd, Mufasa is again carried away by the mass of moving bodies.


When Simba hears that Pumbaa and Timon have just saved his life, he responds apathetically: "It doesn't matter."  The lion cub turns his back in sorrow.  Pumbaa: "Whoa.  How bleak is that?"  Pumbaa wants to help the lion and Timon grudgingly agrees: "So, how are you, in as few words as possible?"  Simba: "I did something terrible.  I don't wanna talk about it."  He walks slowly away.  Pumbaa trots after him: "Look, kid, we've all made mistakes.  There must be something we can do, right?"  Simba: "Not unless you can change the past."  Timon: "Well, you know, that's a lot to ask."  Pumbaa: "That's pretty hard.  That's a biggie."  Timon: "I mean, change the past?  It already happened."  Pumbaa: "Yeah, so you can't change that."  Timon: "But, you know what you can change?  The future!"  Simba: "How can you change something that hasn't happened?"  Timon: "Well, to change the future, you gotta put your past behind you."  Pumbaa: "Way behind!"


Chiwetel Ejiofor

Simba is up with the dawn and eager to start his day.  The young cub makes his way to where his parents are sleeping and climbs on top of his father: "Dad!  You awake?"  He begins to jump up and down on top of the unresponsive lion: "Wake up!  Dad, dad, dad, dad!"  Sarabi, without opening her eyes: "Your son's awake."  Mufasa, wearily: "Before sunrise, he's your son."  The excited toddler is now playfully gnawing on his father's ears.  Simba: "Come on, Dad!  Let's go!"  Forced into action, the lion sits up, yawning widely.


When Simba expresses surprise that a gnu doesn't want to frolic with him, Timon takes it upon himself to explain his philosophy of life and death.  He tells the young lion that prey will never want to play with a carnivore because there is a delicate balance in nature.  Simba: "Oh, yeah.  The circle of life.  I know that."  Timon: "No, no, no.  There's no circle.  In fact, it's just the opposite.  It's a meaningless line of indifference."  Pumbaa: "And we're all just running towards the end of the line.  And then, one day, we'll reach the end and that'll be it."  Timon: "That's it."  Pumbaa: "Line over."  Timon: "Nothing."  Pumbaa: "And you can really just kind of do your own thing and fend for yourself 'cause your line doesn't affect anyone else's lines."  Timon, eating a termite: "You're alive and then you're not.  Like this guy."  Simba, uncertain: "You sure it's not a circle?  That we're all connected?"  Pumbaa, gesturing to other animals around him: "A circle...would mean what I do affects him, affects that thing, affects that thing.  Which would make doing whatever we wanted...not that cool."  Timon, somewhat jaded: "Let me simplify this for you.  Life is meaningless."  Pumbaa: "Yes.  That's why you just gotta look out for yourself.  That's why you do you, Simba."


Simba and Nala, having shaken off their guard, have come to the forbidden territory at the edge of the kingdom.  Both cubs know this place is off-limits and they have been warned of the dangers that lie in wait in the treacherous wasteland.  Simba approaches the graveyard excitedly, eyeing the elephant skeletons with interest.  Pools of fetid water hide scattered bones.  Steam rises from pools of bubbling mud.  Nala is scared: "Simba, we're way beyond the Pride Lands."  Simba shows no fear: "You know what this means?"  Nala: "It means we can go home."  Simba: "It means they won't treat us like cubs anymore."  Seeing a dark cave hidden among pillars of rock, Simba approaches, filled with curiosity.  Nala lags behind.  The air has an ominous feel, and she jumps when a small rockslide sends pebbles raining down on her.  Neither Nala nor Simba notice when a shadow slinks behind a rock.  Simba enters the cave and begins to climb.  Nala, stopping just inside, warns him: "Simba, get down!  It could be dangerous!"  Simba, scoffing: "Danger!  Hah!  I laugh in the face of danger!"  Nala, backing up a few steps: "Simba, come on!  You've proved how brave you are."  Before Nala can finish what she was going to say, the sound of insane laughter can be heard.  Nala turns around.  A pack of hyenas are closing in on the two cubs.  Frightened, Nala runs to Simba's side.  The two cubs, trapped inside the cave, can only watch as the hungry hyenas circle around.

Simba, standing boldly before the lions, tells Scar to abdicate the throne.  Scar decides to use Simba's past as a weapon against him.  Scar, his voice dripping with hidden meaning: "I'd hate to be responsible for the death of a family member.  To feel the shame of knowing I took the life of someone I love."  Simba, who spent years getting over his father's accidental death: "I put all that behind me."  Scar, looking at the other lions: "But have they put it behind them?"  Scar goads Simba into confessing responsibility for his father's death.  Then, as soon as the lion takes the blame for the accident, Scar jumps on the offensive, circling closer and closer to Simba, throwing accusations at him angrily: "Murderer!  If it weren't for you, the king would be alive.  It's your fault he's dead!"  Scar forces Simba to back up towards the edge of the cliff, continuing a steady barrage of blame: "We should believe a son who takes the life of a father?  A son who abandons his mother?"  Simba can hardly defend himself, he is so broken down.  He teeters on the edge of the cliff: "No, I'm...I'm..."  Scar: "You're what?  Say it!  Are you the king?"  Simba, his head bowed in shame: "I'm nothing."

Mufasa has brought Simba to the pinnacle of a rock to view the pride lands.  "Everything the light touches is our kingdom."  Simba is appropriately awed: "You rule all of that?"  Mufasa tells his son that one day the kingdom will be his to rule.  Simba: "All of this will belong to me?"  Mufasa: "It belongs to no one, but will be yours to protect.  A great responsibility."  Simba looks around at the vast landscape, wondering exactly where the boundaries to the kingdom lie.  When he asks about the land of shadows, Mufasa warns him: "You must not go there."  Simba: "But I thought a king could do whatever he wants.  Take any territory."  Mufasa: "While others search for what they can take, a true king searches for what he can give."
