ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

A sailor with a cigarette dangling from his mouth is casually swabbing the deck of the battleship when the drone of an aircraft engine catches his attention.  He stares in some confusion at a sky suddenly filled with airplanes.  He has only a moment to try to comprehend the situation before the planes begin firing on them.  The naval base at Pearl Harbor is under attack.  On deck, in the midst of preparations for a church service, Pearce screams: "Incoming!"  The planes soar overhead, leaving destruction in their wake.  In a house nearby, Ann is standing at the kitchen sink.  The dishes begin to rattle, sending a startled Ann to look out her window.  The bay looks like it's on fire.  She runs outside to grab her young daughter and stops, horrified.  A huge battleship is on flames in the water in front of her house and looks about ready to sink.  Seeing the planes dropping bombs overhead, she quickly pulls Barbara into the house.  Back in the harbor, the unsuspecting boats are being decimated.  Pearce looks out over his ship and sees the deck littered with wounded men.  He gives the order to carry the wounded below and to man the battle stations.  But the surprise attack is already too far underway.  Pearce looks out helplessly as ships sink all around him.  (Caution: scene may frighten some viewers)

Best and his radioman Murray have just completed a dangerous mission.  Best looks into the bunkroom and sees Murray sitting on his bed, looking morose.  Best approaches him: "Strap up.  We're going back out."  Murray: "I'm sorry, sir, but I think you need to find somebody else.  You don't know what it's like to be in the back seat, sir.  You fly like you don't care if we come home."  Best tells Murray that he longs to be home, spending time with his wife and daughter: "You're right.  If we go out there, we probably aren't coming back.  But this is our job, and we're the guys who have to hold the fort till the calvary arrives."  Murray turns away, not wanting to die.  Best: "Look, if you really can't fly, I'll find someone else.  But you should get back in that plane.  You'll remember this moment for the rest of your life.  And if you know that you came through when people were counting on you, you'll be able to face anything."  Murray looks thoughtful.  Best: "We've come this far, Murray.  Don't make me go back out there without you."  Murray grabs his gear and heads out: "I'll warm her up, sir."


American pilots resort to Japanese kamikaze tactics as their planes get shot down.


Willie, terrified at the prospect of their upcoming mission, looks in some amazement at the unflappable Bruno: "Tell me, what's your secret?"  Bruno, confused: "My secret?"  Murray: "He wants to know why nothing bothers you."  Bruno: "My uncle was a welder on the Empire State Building.  He'd walk on a beam 1,000 feet up in the sky, no ropes, nothing.  Everyone thought he was crazy, but to him, he was just doing a job.  And, one Sunday, he's walking home from church.  He's a block away from his house when a cab jumps over the curb, splatters him like a bug."  Willie looks horrified.  Bruno, continuing: "You never know what's going to get you.  So, why worry about it?"


Inside the control room of the Japanese aircraft carrier, Admiral Nagumo confidently orders his men to "crush the enemy."  Just then, they hear the sound of planes overhead.  Japanese soldiers begin to shout as a surprise force of American planes begin to dive-bomb their fleet.  We follow the dive from the view of the pilots.  As heavy artillery explodes all around them, they unwaveringly dive toward the large aircraft carrier.  McClusky's radioman alerts him to their swiftly declining altitude (4,000...3,000...2,000).  McClusky is focused on his target.  As planes explode around him, his sights are trained fixedly on the deck of the aircraft carrier.  He continues to descend at an alarming rate, ignoring the danger all around him and the guns fixed on his aircraft.  Floating in the ocean below, a downed pilot cheers him on.  McClusky continues to dive, waiting until his radioman shouts, "1,800!" to drop his torpedo and pull out of the dive.  The g-force of pulling out of the dive makes McClusky's eyes water and face turn red.  He turns back to see his torpedo miss.  Right behind him, Dickinson is in his own dive.  He drops his torpedo and pulls up.  This time, the aircraft carrier explodes behind him.  The pilot in the water cheers.  (Caution: h-word used)


Best is taking Willie, a new fighter pilot, out on a practice run.  (Willie had previously expressed fear, but Best talked him out of it.)  Best, an experienced pilot, takes the lead.  As his plane taxies down the flight deck of the aircraft carrier, he almost immediately realizes something is wrong.  He just isn't getting up to speed like he should.  Best, able to read the warning signals from his years of flying, knows that the aircraft carrier is moving too slowly for a safe takeoff.  But it is too late for him to stop.  Instead, he uses his skill and knowledge and just barely gets the plane into the air.  Immediately, he radios the flight deck, trying to warn them that Willie needs to abort takeoff.  Dickinson, getting the message, starts running down the flight deck, trying to get Willie's attention.  Willie doesn't see him.  Instead, following Best's lead, he flies off the runway.  But his plane isn't up to speed and almost immediately crashes into the ocean.  Best, seeing the plane in the water, radios the carrier to turn starboard to avoid a collision.  But it is too late.  The huge ship can't turn in enough time to avoid running over the little plane.  Best, watching from the sky, mourns for the young pilot.  (Caution: gd-word used, to avoid s-word, start clip at 1:10:12)


A soldier pores over a map, his navigational equipment and calculations in front of him.  He shakes his head, telling the pilot that he can't be sure if they are over land or water.  Doolittle looks out into the stormy night: "Only one way to find out."  He descends into the darkness, hoping to catch a glimpse of what lies below them.  Doolittle spots the tops of trees just as his engine dies.  They are out of fuel and out of options.  Doolittle, putting the plane on autopilot: "Everyone!  We gotta bail out!"  Quickly, the soldiers move toward the hatch, looking down fearfully into the darkness of the unknown.  Doolittle: "I don't know if we're over Chinese or Jap territory.  So, watch yourselves."  The last engine dies.  One-by-one, the scared-looking men jump out of the plane, trusting in their parachutes to open, hoping that they will land safely, praying that they are in friendly territory.  Doolittle is the last to jump, a flash of lightning illuminating the white of his parachute.

Allied planes dogfight Japanese Zeroes -- with American planes being shot down.


The aircraft carrier is under attack from Japanese fighter planes.  While most of the personnel are ducking down, bracing for impact from the falling torpedoes, several sailors are using heavy artillery to fire on the planes.  One plane is damaged in the wing and begins to smoke.  The pilot turns the plane around and heads straight for the aircraft carrier.  The sailors realize that the pilot has decided to turn kamikaze, to use his plane as a missile and crash into the aircraft carrier.  Before anyone else has time to react, Bruno races across the landing deck and hops into a parked plane.  Using the plane's machine gun, Bruno begins firing at the descending plane.  The plane grows nearer and nearer, heading straight for Bruno.  Bruno's attack succeeds in striking one of the wings of the plane, sending it a hair's breadth off course.  Bruno screams as the fiery plane seems to descend right on top of him.  The plane strikes him a glancing blow, shearing off one of the wings of Bruno's plane and spinning it 180 degrees.  But Bruno's effort succeeded.  Instead of crashing into the aircraft carrier, the kamikaze plane crashes into the ocean beside it.  Immediately, sailors gather around Bruno, clapping him on the back and thanking him for his courage.  From inside the control room, Admiral Halsey asks to see Bruno.  The young sailor enters, saluting the navy commander.  Admiral Halsey smiles proudly, hands on hips: "That's the bravest d--n thing I think I've ever seen.  What' your name, son?"  Bruno, standing at attention: "Bruno Gaido, sir.  Aviation Machinist's Mate, Third Class."  Admiral Halsey: "Well, Bruno, you are now an Aviation Machinist's Mate, First Class."  He salutes Bruno.  Bruno, deeply honored, salutes in return.  (Caution: d-word used twice, h-word used)


Best flies the plane toward the aircraft carrier, telling Murray to prepare to brace.  Murray looks out at the wings, confused: "Why aren't you using the flaps, sir?"  Best: "Because someday we might have to land with our flaps shot away.  So we might as well practice now."  Best begins to drop sharply toward the carrier.  Murray, sounding worried: "This isn't how Ensign Hunt used to fly."  Best: "Which is why Ensign Hunt is now counting seagulls in San Diego and you're here with me."  Best, grinning naughtily: "Looks like we got hit in our fuel tank, too."  Best turns off the fuel pump to the engines.  Murray, begging: "Please, don't, sir."  Best: "This might save your life one day, Murray."  Best, still grinning: "Engine's about to die."  Just as he says it, the engine stops and the propeller quits.  The plane is now free-falling toward the aircraft carrier.  Best turns the plane until it is falling sideways, spurring a terrified Murray to ask why.  Best, calmly: "To shave speed so we don't put a hole in the deck.  Hang in there, kid.  We're almost home."  With a terrific jolt, the plane lands safely on the carrier and Murray breathes a sigh of relief.  (Caution: h-word used, d-word used)
