ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Milo awakens in the night to strange noises around his tent.  He finds that his mother and father are gone and goes to investigate.  Outside, the camp is filled with Roman soldiers fighting the members of his own Celtic clan in a fierce battle.  The small boy walks slowly amid the fighting with wide eyes.  Everywhere he looks, he sees men killing each other.  Finally, he spots his father fighting off four Roman soldiers.  He stops, staring, as his father is finally overcome.  Just then, his mother, fighting her own battle, sees her son watch his father die.  Running quickly, she grabs him and pulls him away from the fighting.  As they back away, a horse tramples them, knocking Milo to the ground.  Feigning unconsciousness, he watches in horror as his mother and the rest of his clan are slaughtered by the Romans.  Finally, thought to be dead, he is thrown on top of a pile of dead Celts.  (Caution: disturbing images of violence)

Felix is riding his mistress's horse through the darkened fields next to the mountain.  Unaware that, behind him, the mountain is awakening with a bellyful of fire and fury, Felix leads his horse toward the water for a drink.  Suddenly, the horse rears back, troubled by the strange atmosphere it senses under the earth.  Felix, still ignorant of the imminent danger, pats the horse's neck, soothing it.  The horse neighs loudly as the water begins to bubble and froth, spewing fountains of inky black water into the air.  The banks along the stream start to crumble, and the horse bolts, knocking Felix to the ground.  The boy chases after the fleeing horse, but the ground underneath him begins to fall away.  Finally, he screams as he is swallowed up by the torrent of water and mud.

Milo and Atticus, locked in their cell below the arena, suddenly feel the ground shaking beneath them.  They look around them in wonder, watching as bits crumble from the ceiling and dust falls onto their heads.  Atticus sees his small idol fall over onto its wooden face.  He looks down at the idol and explains the rumbling as he sees it: "It is the gods.  They have a plan for us all."  Milo: "Perhaps."  Atticus: "What do you mean?"  Milo: "Tonight I saw the man who killed my whole family.  Perhaps the gods spared me for a reason."  Atticus bends down and gently places his idol back onto its feet: "The Romans took my family from me 20 years ago.  At night, I try and remember their faces, but I cannot.  But I know, one day, the gods will bring me to them again."

Corvus is in the arena, along with hundreds of others, watching the battle of the gladiators.  Suddenly, the ground begins to shake and the walls of the arena begin to crumble.  The spectators scream, terrified, as they are thrown to the ground by the tremors.  Corvus orders an end to the gladiator battle, but, before his officer can comply, the great volcano towering over the city erupts, knocking the officer to his knees.  All eyes are now on the sky, where a great plume of ash and fire shoots up from the mountain.  Even Corvus is frozen in shock at the sight.  Suddenly, the arena begins to collapse as the ground underneath it opens up.  A great crack forms down the center of the playing field.  A pillar falls on the balcony where Corvus stands and he has time only to yell before they are struck.  Citizens push forward in a great heap, trying desperately to reach the exits before the entire structure collapses.

Atticus watches from a vantage point high above the city street as a huge tidal wave surges toward the harbor.  Calling down a warning to those running toward the sea, he climbs down and begins to run with the frenzied crowd away from the wall of water bearing down on them.  As the water crashes through buildings and floods roads, the terrified people try to escape from its path of destruction.  One woman loses her grip on her daughter's hand and the daughter is pushed to the ground by the unseeing crowd.  The mother frantically tries to reach her daughter, but she is pulled away by the force of the crowd and watches helplessly as her daughter is trampled by careless feet.  She cries out for help, but no one listens.  Atticus, running by the woman, hears her cries and sees her daughter lying on the ground.  Turning around, he pushes back against the crowd and works his way back toward the girl.  Picking her up, he carries her in his arms to her mother.  Then, taking the mother's hand, he runs with both of them toward the hoped-for safety.  Pausing a moment to turn around, he sees the huge wall of water bearing a large ship directly down upon them.  Determined, he continues running, carrying the girl and half-dragging her mother.  Finally, they enter through the arch in the great wall between the city and the sea.  They turn around just in time to watch the water slam into the wall, restrained from wreaking further destruction on the town.  Knowing they are safe, Atticus sets down the girl and runs away.

The citizens of Pompeii are running in all directions, futilely fleeing from debris and ash falling from the erupting volcano.  Milo and Cassia seek shelter in a doorway and watch the chaos reigning around them.  Large rocks strike the street, crumble the buildings, and kill the people.  Pockets of flames are building up everywhere and families are running, carrying what little possessions they can.  Cassia, watching with frightened eyes: "Is this the end of the world?"  Milo is silent.  Cassia: "Why would the gods let this happen?"  Milo looks at her, not knowing what to say.  Suddenly, the rain of rocks fades away and Cassia and Milo step out of the doorway.  The street is almost completely covered with bodies and rubble.  Destruction and darkness seem to rule everything.  Just then, Milo's eyes are drawn toward a spot halfway down the street where a ray of light has broken through the blackness of ash and cloud and is touching the ground in front of them.  Milo, evidently feeling the ray to be evidence that the gods have not abandoned them, smiles at Cassia.  And, even surrounded by such despair, he has hope.
