ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Eddie receives a phone call advising him that an equipment malfunction at Cape Canaveral has slowed down its dismantling.  Knowing his brilliant daughter was somehow involved, he warns her that, no matter what, he is about to be out of a job.  Eddie: "There's nothing anyone can do about it.  It's inevitable."  Casey, brightly: "Well, then you'll find something else.  You're a NASA engineer."  Eddie, under his breath: "With nothing to launch."  Casey's smile fades, but she persists in her optimism: "There are two wolves.  And they're always fighting.  One is darkness and despair.  The other is light and hope.  Which wolf wins?"  Eddie, reluctantly repeating the wisdom he had often told his daughter: "Whichever one you feed."

As Casey sits through her classes, she hears a similar, fatalistic prediction from each of her teachers.  The first speaks in gloomy tones of impending nuclear holocaust.  The second raves about the dire effects of global warming.  The third forecasts a social disaster such as was predicted in the classic novels of Orwell and Bradbury.  In each class, Casey vigorously raises her hand, hoping to ask a question of her educators.  However, they each ignore her waving arm.  Finally, after seeing that Casey is unlikely to give up her quest for knowledge, the third teacher allows her to pose her question.  Casey, earnestly: "Can we fix it?"  Teacher, staring at her blankly: "Sorry?"  Casey: "I get things are bad.  But what are we doing to fix it?"  The poor teacher, used to his apathetic teenage listeners, is absolutely stymied by the call to action.  Luckily for him, the bell rings, and he dismisses the class with a sense of relief.  Casey looks around in some surprise, astonished that everyone else can return to the everyday when the fate of tomorrow is in question.

Casey is picking up her personal effects after a short stint in jail when she notices among them a pin that isn't her own.  She touches it, intending to give it back to the officer, but as soon as she makes contact, the grey walls of the jail around her disappear and she is standing in a golden field of wheat.  Screaming, Casey drops the pin.  As soon as her contact with the object is lost, the hidden world disappears and Casey is again standing in the jail.  A fellow inmate, spotting her strange behavior, smiles knowingly at her, believing her to be under the influence of drugs.  Ignoring him, Casey again picks up the pin.  The bright, beautiful world reappears, and, this time, Casey has the chance to observe her new surroundings.  The golden field of wheat extends into the far distance, where a beautiful, futuristic-looking city rises into the sky.  Amazed, she walks toward it.  Suddenly, her head strikes an invisible object with enough force to make her drop the pin.  She finds herself back in jail, where she has run into the wall.  She looks at her fellow inmate: "Have I been here the whole time?"  Just then, her father arrives to pick her up, and Casey gingerly holds the pin inside a wrapper in order to avoid another other-worldly experience.  While on the drive home, Casey decides to tell her father about the pin.  She asks him to pull over, explaining her strange behavior: "All will be explained when you touch this pin."  Reluctantly, he complies, but nothing happens.  Shaking his head in exasperation, Eddie continues driving.  Casey is astounded.  She grabs the pin herself and is immediately transported back to the field of wheat (speeding through the grain as if suspended inside an invisible car).  She turns to yell at Eddie, whom she cannot see: "You're not seeing this?"  Eddie, angry now, grabs the pin out of her hands and the vision disappears.  Eddie, putting the pin in his pocket: "Honestly, Casey, I don't know what's gotten into you."

Casey is walking toward a seemingly-abandoned house when she hears the sound of loud barking nearby.  Suddenly, an angry dog sprints from around the corner of the house.  The dog, attached to a long chain, makes a furious lunge for the girl.  Casey, slipping, falls forward, just out of reach of the frantic beast.  Breathing heavily, she stares at the frothing animal.  Slowly, as she begins to recover from her fear, she notices an irregularity.  While her feet have made tracks in the soft mud, the bouncing dog is making no imprint in the earth.  Boldly, she reaches a hand out toward the dog's head.  Its image flickers and returns.  Realizing it is nothing but a hologram, Casey smiles and resumes cheerfully walking toward the house.  Defeated, the fake dog lies down in the grass.

Casey discovers a room in Frank's house filled with monitors depicting world tragedies.  A clock is counting down from 59 days, and another monitor shows the figure one-hundred percent.  She stares at the screens, seeing a tornado, rioting, wars, and death.  Frank enters the room, angry that she has intruded.  Casey demands an explanation for what she sees: "What is that?  Is that a countdown?"  Frank: "If I could tell you the date - - the exact date - - that you're gonna die, would you wanna know?"  Casey: "How would you know?"  Frank: "Just use your imagination!  It's accepted that there's a world where I knew, with absolute certainty, the exact time of your death.  Now, you want me to tell you, or not?"  Casey: "Of course, I would.  Who wouldn't?"  Casey suddenly stops, and begins to think: "But...what if accepting my death is what causes it?  So, the answer is, yes, I would want you to tell me.  But I wouldn't believe you."  Frank, exasperated: "You have to believe me."  Casey, stubbornly: "Why?  Don't we, like, make our own destiny and stuff?"  The monitors behind Casey suddenly flicker.  One of the monitors changes from a picture of blood-shed to a picture of blue skies.  The percentage decreases from one-hundred to ninety-nine.  Frank, astounded, stares at the girl: "Who are you, kid?"

Frank, Nix, and Athena are showing Casey what their machine can do.  Placing his hands on the interface, Frank spins the ball, and, suddenly, the platform they stand on appears to be floating in space.  Gliding over Earth, Frank steers the platform toward Casey's chosen destination.  Excited, Casey takes the controls from Frank and quickly learns how to guide the machine toward her hometown.  Entering her own garage, Casey sees herself having a conversation with her father...a conversation that took place three days in the past.  Amazed, she questions Nix, who explains that the scientific discovery of tachyon manipulation has brought about the ability to see both into the past and ahead to the future.  Again taking the controls, Casey sends the machine to a view of the future at Cape Canaveral.  "Scrolling" ahead through time, the days and nights quickly pass, until the screen flickers and turns to static.  Casey: "What happened?"  Nix: "Keep going.  Just a little further."  Casey slowly manipulates the controls until the image returns.  The Cape Canaveral of the past, however, is gone, and all that is left is smoking rubble.  Casey shakes her head in shock and sends the machine to a view on the other side of the planet.  The screen shows a large city being destroyed by a terrible bomb.  Casey again spins the controls to see yet another part of the globe.  Screaming rioters stand in the middle of a burning city.  Again and again Casey turns the wheel, seeing nothing but havoc.  Massive eruptions, horrendous floods, terrible fires, earthquakes, lightning, and mountains tumbling into the sea fill her sight.  Finally, she stops at a view of her home.  The house is half-underwater and abandoned.  Nix: "It would have been nice if Frank had prepared you for this, but I'm afraid the world is ending.  It is certain.  It is unavoidable.  And it is coming."

Casey has just watched the future and inevitable destruction of the planet (see Scene # CV08646).  Casey, horrified: "When?"  Frank: "Fifty-eight days from now."  Tears fill Casey's eyes and her chin quivers as she attempts to absorb the terrible knowledge.  Passionately, she confronts Nix: "Why aren't you telling anyone?  The whole planet is gonna die and you're just sitting here?"  Nix, coldly: "Well, we're not gonna die.  This is your world, not ours.  We'll be perfectly fine here."  Casey, angrily: "Then why don't you let people in?"  Nix, waving his hand at the picture of Earth: "These people...they're driven by savagery.  If we told them about this place, then that would happen here...to us!  Then nothing would survive."  Casey: "But it hasn't happened yet!"  Nix: "Actually, it has happened.  You just haven't accepted it."  Casey, storming off: "Well, I don't accept it!"

Casey and Frank have just learned that Nix deliberately showed humans the future destruction of the planet.  Nix, explaining his actions: "The probability of widespread annihilation kept going up.  The only way to stop it was to show it...to scare people straight.  Because what reasonable human being wouldn't be galvanized by the potential destruction of everything they have ever known or loved?  To save civilization, I would show its collapse.  But how do you think this vision was received?  How do you think people responded to the prospect of imminent doom?  They gobbled it up...like a chocolate eclair!  They didn't fear their demise.  They repackaged it!  It could be enjoyed as video games, as TV shows, books, movies.  The entire world wholeheartedly embraced the apocalypse and sprinted towards it with gleeful abandon!"  Nix, passionate now: "In every moment, there is the possibility of a better future.  But you people won't believe it!  And because you won't believe it, you won't do what is necessary to make it a reality.  So, you dwell on this terrible future, you resign yourselves to it.  For one reason...because that future doesn't ask anything of you TODAY!"
