ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Pete, tired of seeing his little brother waste his life on constant trouble, has determined to help him be better.  Knowing that Louis has the makings of a runner, Pete has decided to train him for the track team.  Pete, riding his bicycle, follows alongside Louis, spurring him on to run faster and faster.  After running reluctantly, Louis finally stops, frustrated: "I can't do this, Pete.  I'm not like you.  I'm nothing.  Just let me be nothing."  Pete: "What are you talking about?"  Louis, feeling like a failure: "I can't make a track team.  I don't even know why you want me to."  Pete, determined: "Yes, you can.  If you can take it, you can make it."  Louis, confused: "What?"  Pete repeats his words, explaining: "You train.  You fight.  Way harder than those other guys.  And you win.  Or...you keep going the way you're going, and you end up as a bum on the streets.  You can do this, Lou.  You just gotta believe you can."  Louis: "I don't believe."  Pete, firmly: "I do."  Pete makes Louis resume his training.

Pete walks Louis to his train, where the high school graduate will begin his journey to the Olympics.  As Louis departs from his brother, he thanks him for all he's done to make him the man he is.  Pete, waving from the platform, gives Louis a piece of parting advice: "A moment of pain is worth a lifetime of glory.  You remember that!"

Louis is standing in silence, staring at the wreckage of the plane he and his crew have just crash-landed.  He turns to look out at the ocean.  Phil, the pilot, is kneeling on the beach in prayer.  Louis approaches him, jokingly: "Now you're praying?"  Phil, smiling briefly, but quickly sobering: "I was busy before."  Louis, referring to prayer: "My mother does that sometimes."  Phil: "A lot of people do this."  Louis, looking thoughtful: "He say anything back?"  Phil: "Yeah."  Louis: "What?"  Phil, jokingly: "He says my bombardier is a dope."  Louis laughs and the friends walk away together, grateful to be alive.

At a stadium in Berlin, young Louis is competing in his first Olympic race.  Back at home, his family listens to the radio coverage of the event, cheering him on from across the ocean.  Louis begins the race in the middle of the pack, but as time moves on, he drifts further and further back.  When the bell rings to announce the final lap, Louis is virtually in last place.  Suddenly, a fresh burst of energy comes over Louis.  Announcer, startled: "There seems to be some movement back in the pack."  One-by-one, Louis passes by his competitors, stunning the audience both at home and abroad.  Announcer, excitedly: "He seems to have some gas in reserve.  He really is making up some time!"  The crowd goes wild as Louis, barely out of high school, breezes by record-breaking athletes.  As the runners cross the finish line, the announcer is amazed by Louis' performance: "I have not seen that!  I have not seen that!"  Although failing to earn a medal, Louis has obliterated the fastest time on record for a completed lap.  Smiling, Louis waves at the cheering audience.

The only survivors of a plane crash, Mac, Phil, and Louis are adrift on a life raft out in the open sea.  Sharks swim below them as they sleep in the blazing sun.  Suddenly, Louis awakens to the sound of a plane engine.  Excited at the prospect of rescue, he awakens the others, and the three men quickly attempt to get the notice of the pilot.  While Louis fires a flare gun in the air, Mac dumps bright dye into the water around their raft.  All three shout and wave their arms, but their efforts are futile.  The plane disappears without ever having noticed them.  (Caution: b-word used)

Mac, Phil, and Louis are on a life raft in the middle of the ocean.  After 18 days at sea, the men are thin, burned and blistered, and fast losing hope.  Phil sings a hymn quietly while Louis stares at a picture of his family.  Later that night, Louis is staring up at the star-studded sky.  Louis: "You think God made the stars, Phil?"  Phil: "Yes, I do."  Louis: "So you think there's some kind of a grand plan?  Why did we live and the others didn't?  Why are we here now?"  Phil: "Here's the plan.  You go on living the best you can.  Try to have some fun along the way.  Then, one day, it's over.  You wake up, and there's an angel sitting at the edge of your bed.  Angel says, 'Okay, you can ask me all those dumb questions now.  'Cause I got all the answers.'"  Louis: "That's what you believe?"  Phil: "Yeah, that's what I believe."

A violent storm has turned the ocean into a churning mass of waves.  The three castaways cling to their flimsy life raft, hoping to survive the night.  Helpless, the men are tossed by wave after wave.  They lie at the bottom of the raft, shivering and drenched with cold water.  Phil, through chattering teeth, begins to say the Lord's Prayer.  Louis, who has never before professed any faith, looks up to heaven, crying out to God: "If You get me through this, if You answer my prayers, I swear I'll dedicate my whole life to You.  I'll do whatever You want."  Squeezing his eyes tightly shut, Louis pleads with the Lord: "Please!"  Hours later, the storm is over and the three men are asleep.  Louis awakens to raindrops hitting his sun-scorched face.  He opens his parched mouth, trying to catch the drops of water inside.  Joyous, he nudges the others awake.  All three drink in the precious fresh water, the first they've had in days...the gift after the storm.

Phil weakly tells Louis that they have now beaten the record for the most number of days lost at sea.  As the men marvel over this terrible feat, they hear the noise of a plane engine.  Filled with sudden hope, they begin firing their flare gun at the plane.  They wave skinny arms in the air, desperate to get the attention of the pilot.  When the plane turns back towards them, Phil cries out: "Oh, my God!"  For the first time in weeks, the men believe they might be rescued.  Their hope-filled eyes are glued to the plane as it swoops low down over them.  Suddenly, bullets rain down all around them as the enemy plane begins firing at their raft.  All three dive overboard, seeking shelter in the shark-infested waters.  The bullets slice through the water all around them, but only a shark is hit.  The three climb onboard the raft just in time to see the plane turn around for a second pass.  Phil and Mac, too weak to swim again, lie in the bottom of the raft and wait.  Louis dives back into the water.  Again, the bullets pass by him and he surfaces safely.  He swims back to the raft, dreading what he might find there.  Miraculously, no one was hit by the bullets, and the three men are again alone in the middle of the ocean.  (Caution: d-word used)

Louis, trying to keep up the spirits of the castaway men, is asking them trivia questions.  When Mac doesn't answer, his friends are concerned.  Mac, so weak he can barely move, finally replies, but can't find the energy to play the game.  The cheeks of his gaunt face are dark hollows and his lips are cracked and swollen.  Weakly, he asks Louis to imagine an amazing breakfast.  Louis slides closer to Mac to hold his hand.  Mac: "Am I gonna die?"  Louis and Phil are silent for a few moments.  Louis: "Maybe, Mac."  Mac, whispering: "You think tonight?"  Louis, still holding Mac's hand: "Maybe."  Mac, quietly, his eyes staring blankly: "Yes, sir.  I think tonight."  Phil cradles Mac in his arms while Louis talks about what he's going to make for breakfast.  Later that day, Phil and Louis cover their friend's body with his shirt, fastening to it a rope cross.  They set him adrift in the sea.

Louis is sitting in an elegant restaurant, eating his first good meal in months.  Two executives from the Japanese radio sit down with him, handing him a script.  Louis glances at the script, then back at the men: "I can't say this."  Man: "Why not?"  Louis: "Because it's not true.  What it says about America, I can't say that."  The man smiles, pointing at a table in the back of the restaurant, where three American soldiers are seated.  The soldiers are well-dressed, well-groomed, and healthy.  They smile as they eat their meal in comfort.  Man: "They say that.  American like you.  They live here.  Very comfortable.  Good food."  Man #2: "They have lovely food."  Louis sighs, looking down at the script.  The man leans closer to Louis, threatening: "You want to go back to camp?  You make broadcast."  Louis refuses and is returned to the camp where he has already endured much suffering.

Louis has been brought back to camp after refusing to lie about America on Japanese radio.  The camp commander has assembled the rest of the POWs and announces to them all that Louis must be taught respect.  Standing the man before the other prisoners, he orders them each to punch Louis in the face.  The first man in line refuses, telling the commander that they cannot hit their friend.  The commander barks out an order and his subordinates bring out another prisoner, who has been in confinement for making a secret map.  The prisoner is weak from many beatings and his face is bruised and swollen.  The commander strikes him hard with a cane, telling the POWs that if they refuse to hit Louis, he will hit the other prisoner instead.  Louis looks at the man and is filled with compassion.  He tells his friends to hit him.  Reluctantly, they comply.  One-by-one, they line up and punch Louis in the face.  He is soon bleeding.  He is knocked to the ground again and again, only to stand up to receive the next punch.  If a POW is reluctant to strike, Louis screams at them to hit him, knowing that if they hesitate, the commander will strike the other prisoner.  The beatings continue all day until dusk, when the last man has struck and Louis is allowed to collapse to the ground.  (Caution: disturbing violence)

Injured, half-starved, and weakened by suffering, Louis has dropped his load of coal.  The commander has pulled him aside and now orders him to lift a heavy board.  Louis, his injured ankle bent, struggles, but finally succeeds in lifting the board in his arms.  Commander: "Over your head!"  Grimacing in pain, Louis slowly pushes the board up and holds it above his head.  As Louis staggers under his load, the commander orders his men to kill him if he drops it.  Louis sways with exhaustion as he struggles to keep the board balanced above his head.  As time passes, more and more prisoners start watching him, silently cheering him on.  Louis's legs are quivering and a tear runs down his cheek.  The commander stares at him in interest, watching for when he will break.  The shadows lengthen and Louis is still standing.  All work has stopped and every eye is on Louis.  Slowly, Louis lifts his eyes to stare into the eyes of the commander.  Face-to-face with such courage and strength, the commander swallows hard, knowing too well his own weakness.  Suddenly, Louis yells, thrusting his arms high above his head.  He screams in pain and defiance, staring at the commander while he holds the board as high as he can.  The other prisoners, inspired, begin to smile.  The commander, his breath shaky, looks in hatred at Louis: "Don't look at me.  Don't look at me!"  When Louis refuses to look away, the commander rushes at him, beating him again and again.  The commander, who has now looked into the face of courage and has found himself wanting, takes his self-loathing out on Louis.  As he kicks and beats Louis, Louis envisions himself running a race, struggling past the pain to receive his reward.  Finally, the commander falls to his knees, weeping, broken by Louis' strength.
