ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

The future for Albert's family depends on their ability to plow their rocky, barren lower field.  Having no plow horse, Albert has hitched their thoroughbred, Joey, up to the plow and he's desperately encouraging him to till the soil.  The blade of the plow runs ineffectually over the hard ground without making a single dent.  As his neighbors gather to watch the struggle, Albert encourages his beloved horse: "Do you know, I believe we can do it, Joey.  I knew when I first saw you that you'd be the best of us."  Joey stumbles over a large rock and falls painfully to his knees.  Albert's landlord tells the boy to give up: "You've got no chance, lad."  The rain begins to pour down hard and Albert's friends and neighbors begin to disperse, believing the show to be over.  Unwilling to give up the fight, Albert looks Joey in the eye: "You've got to do it, Joey!  The rest of our lives depend on this!"  Boy and horse dig in and resume their painful struggle.  This time, however, the rain has softened the soil and the blade of the plow slips in, making a large furrow.

Albert and his horse have just saved the family farm after Albert's father made a near-disastrous mistake.  As Albert's mother bandages his wounds, Albert makes a disrespectful remark concerning his alcoholic father.  Rosie, Albert's mother, chastises him, telling Albert that he judges from his ignorance of his father's past.  Albert, sullenly: "He don't talk to me about it."  Rosie: "There aren't words for some things."  Rosie walks to a corner of the barn and takes out a package hidden there.  She shows her son the medals his father earned in all the battles he fought.  Albert is amazed to hear that his father is a hero who saved the lives of his fellow soldiers.  Rosie tells her son that his father wanted the medals thrown away, but she saved them.  Rosie knows that Albert is proud of his work saving the farm, and she acknowledges that he has a reason to be: "It's good to be proud when you've done something good."  But Albert's father, although a recognized hero, refuses to be proud of killing.  Instead, he allows people to think of him as only a drunk.  Rosie: "Think how brave he is for refusing to be proud.  Your dad makes mistakes, and he drinks to forget the mistakes that he's made, but he never gave up.  And he does that for us.  And today, you showed the world it's all been worth it."

Albert is galloping his horse, Joey, across a field when he spots his neighbor and rival driving his new motorcar.  David is bragging about the car to his date: "I'm the only boy that drives in the village.  No one else drives but me.  That's right, and this is my dad's car.  You're lucky you're in it."   The girl laughs, perhaps not as impressed with David as he is with himself.  She turns and sees Albert and Joey galloping along beside them.  Impressed at the horse's speed, she asks David if he's a friend.  David's fingers tighten angrily on the wheel and he steps on the gas.  He smiles as the car begins to leave the horse behind.  Albert takes up the challenge and spurs Joey on: "Come on, boy!  Let's show her how to fly!"  Wanting to impress the girl (who is now standing up in the car, watching in excitement), Albert gallops Joey straight at a wall.  At the last second, Joey halts, and Albert is thrown over the fence.  The girl gasps in shock as Albert hits the ground hard.  David smirks, reveling in his victory.

Albert and his family pinned all their hopes of saving their farm on harvesting their lower field.  After an intense struggle, it looked like they might succeed.  But now a severe storm has destroyed the crop.  Ted sloshes through his field, examining the damage done in a single night of rain.  His eyes scan the ravaged field hopelessly.  Back inside their farmhouse, Rosie, his wife, asks him how they're going to survive.  Ted, his head in his hands: "I used to believe that God gave each man his fair portion of bad luck.  I don't feel that anymore.  I've had more than my share."

Captain Nicholls and Major Stewart are cavalry officers leading their men on a practice charge the day before their first battle.  They exchange a bit of friendly banter, and even their horses try to nip one another as the practice turns into a bit of a competition.  The two horses gallop neck and neck, and their riders eye each other challengingly.  Stewart momentarily pulls ahead, but Nicholls eventually overtakes him.  Just before the finish line, Nicholls tosses a triumphant grin over his shoulder at the scowling Stewart.

The British cavalry has planned a surprise attack on a German encampment.  They burst in on the camp as the soldiers are busy with various morning activities...shaving, sleeping, and cooking breakfast.  The Germans are stunned and quickly attempt to defend their camp.  But the British attack is too quick for many, and those who are not cut down inside the camp are chased out of the camp and retreat into the forest.  But the British don't retain the upper hand for long.  Although they gained ground with the element of surprise, they quickly lost it by underestimating their opponent.  The Germans had prepared for an attack ahead of time by placing large guns guarding the entrance to the forest.  The British cavalry is speedily defeated.

Emilie and her grandfather stare outside at the war raging near their farmhouse.  Light from bombs and artillery flickers over their faces.  Emilie tells her grandfather that she is now old enough to know how her parents died.  She is proud to know that they died fighting the Germans, but she scorns her grandfather for not resisting the soldiers: "You do nothing.  You are a coward, aren't you?"  Grandfather: "Yes.  It was your parents who were brave.  I make jams."  Emilie: "And you've never done a brave thing in your life?"  Her grandfather smiles, shrugging slightly: "Maybe there are different ways to be brave."  He tells her of the carrier pigeons that may change the outcome of the war.  They know nothing of fighting...their only job is to fly home from the war front.  But, to do so, they must fly over the fighting.  Grandfather: "Can you imagine such a thing?  Here you are, flying over so much pain and terror and you know you can never look down.  You have to look forward, or you'll never get home.  I ask you, what could be braver than that?"  A tear courses down Emilie's cheek as she looks at the grandfather who maintains peace to carry her safely through the war.

Hundreds of young men crouch in the British trench as German bombs and artillery explode around them.  They are preparing to advance on the enemy and know that many will not return.  A commanding officer moves down the row of men, patting them on the back and encouraging them to be brave.  A bomb explodes in the trench and several soldiers are blown into the air.  Another officer: "Hold your nerve, boys.  Run fast, keep your wits about you, keep your eyes open, and God and the King will keep an eye on you."  Two friends encourage one another, remembering old times back on the farm.  Andrew: "This here is the worst day of my life about to begin, and you're here cheering me on.  Us two, always!"  A soldier moves down the line, collecting everyone's valuables.  (They will be divvied up among those who return from the battle.)  Andrew cries as a sergeant assigns him the terrible task of shooting any comrade who retreats from the battle back to the trench.  A soldier begins playing the bagpipes as the men are given the order to exit the trench.  They pour over the lip of the protective wall.  Some are killed immediately.  Those who escape the initial onslaught struggle across the battlefield, dodging bombs, gunfire, and the bodies of their friends.

Albert, a young soldier, is running across the battlefield, trying to make it to the enemy trench without losing his life.  All around him, others are cut down by gunfire and grenades.  It is a literal picture of the valley of the shadow of death.  Finally, he reaches the outside of the German trench.  He takes out a grenade and tries to pull the pin.  His hands are trembling so violently that he can't grasp it.  After multiple tries, he finally succeeds and throws the grenade over the wall.  It explodes inside, and Albert quickly follows it into the trench.  He looks around fearfully, panting from fear and exhaustion.

Joey, a thoroughbred war horse, has escaped and is attempting to run from the battlefield to a place of safety.  Ignoring the bombs exploding around him, he runs as fast as he can.  When he runs into a barbed wire fence, he keeps going without breaking stride, the barbed wires trailing behind him.  He keeps running through the second fence, but now wooden posts are wrapped in the wires and dragging along behind him.  His running is slowed because of the burdens he carries, but it isn't until he hits the third fence that he is forced to stop.  The posts from the second fence get tangled in the third, and the force of Joey's momentum sends him hurtling to the ground, wrapped tightly in the wires of all three fences.  Unable to free himself, Joey lies helplessly on the ground, breathing hard.

In the middle of a battle between the British and the Germans, both sides are moved by the sight of a horse trapped on the field in a mesh of barbed wire.  One British soldier disobeys orders and leaves the trench to free the horse.  He ties a white flag on his rifle, waving it as he walks.  The Germans, believing it to be a trap, fire a warning shot nearby him.  Although the shot drives him to cover, it doesn't deter him from his mission.  As he makes his way over the foggy darkness of the battlefield, he prays Psalm 23 aloud: "The Lord is my Shepherd.  I shall not want.  He leadeth me into green pastures.  He leadeth me down beside still waters."  Breathing heavily with fear, he approaches the horse and realizes he has nothing with which to set it free.  Suddenly, a German soldier appears and offers him some wire cutters.  Stuttering slightly, he thanks his enemy for the help.
