ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

The opening of the play "Peck's Bad Boy" in Brooklyn, New York, is a smashing hit.  Thirteen-year-old George Cohan is a rousing success as the star and bad boy of the play.  After his performance, he's surrounded by people congratulating him, but his conceited response sours their genuine offers of congratulations.  George: "Thanks, but what are you all so surprised about?  You could have told during rehearsals that I'd be a sensation in this part."  George's parents watch, dismayed at their son's vanity, from the side of the room.  George continues his self-glorifying monologue: "I wonder what took me so long to become a star?"  His parents argue over which of them is going to deliver George his first spanking.  Father: "I'll hold him, you hit him."  Mother: "Not me.  I don't hit hard enough to make an impression."  A stage manager informs George that several "gentlemen" are waiting outside to see him.  Assuming it to be reporters, he ventures outside, only to be greeted by a group of young Brooklyn kids ready for a fight.  Apparently his acting was so convincing that they believed his boasting of "licking any kid in town" and wanted to find out just how tough he was.  As a battered George is tended to by his mother, his father uses the moment as a teachable one.  He sits down in front of George: "Georgie, those boys did you a great favor...and they saved me a lot of trouble."  Their beating had been a blow to the pride that had threatened to sully George's character for life.  George's father, Jerry, points out what a rarity it is for an actor to score a hit in their careers - - and George is one at the age of thirteen.  Jerry: "I've been in this business a long time.  I've never met a performer who, in the long run, wouldn't rather be a great guy than a great actor...that is, until I made your acquaintance."  George wonders if he can be both.  Jerry points out that the way George is going, he won't be either.  George's parents want him to be successful, but his love of success is over the top and will result in a ruined life.  George decides to follow their advice and promises them he will be the tough kid only when acting during the play, and will pattern himself after his father the rest of the time.

The Cohan family is performing their act at O'Rourke's Varietie's.  Their act is a hit with the crowd, and the manager, Mr. Dietz, catches them backstage to make an offer for a contract in New York City.  Meanwhile, George Cohan is making his own plans for success.  George has convinced one of the new singers (Mary) to perform one of his songs, rather than the song that has been scheduled for her by Mr. Dietz.  Mr. Dietz, who has been focused on his bargaining with the rest of the Cohan family, suddenly realizes that the wrong song is playing.  He rushes down to find out who told the singer to switch her number. No one answers him, so he orders the curtain dropped and the houselights pulled out.  George hears his order and asks Mr. Dietz to let the woman finish so they can gauge how the audience likes the song.  Mr. Dietz is furious at his orders having been disregarded, and he demands the stage hand pull the lights.  George countermands his order.  Mr. Dietz realizes that the song change was George's idea.  George admits this: "And a very good idea too."  Mr. Dietz doesn't agree, and since no one obeyed his orders to bring down the curtain, he pulls it down himself in the middle of the song.  George furiously approaches Mr. Dietz: "You get that curtain up!  You can't ring down on a George M. Cohan song!"  Mr. Dietz realizes George wrote the song himself.  George, arrogantly: "You can tell that by the applause."  When Mary returns from the stage, George commands her to go back and do an encore, but Mr. Dietz fires her on the spot.  Mr. Dietz is equally upset with George for having the gumption to change the program without the authority to do so, and threatens to run George out of show business.  George tries to convince Mr. Dietz that the act change wasn't Mary's fault, but Mr. Dietz doesn't care.  Mary runs away, crying, and George follows.  Mr. Dietz follows them both and demands Mary give him the keys to her dressing room.  George gives Mr. Dietz a kick in the rear end, which pushes Mr. Dietz into two acrobats rehearsing for their number, knocking down the curtain on an act in progress.  Mr. Dietz is furious and yells out to George: "Cohan...you're fired!  You're cancelled.  You're washed up!"  The promise of the contract in New York City for the Cohan family is rescinded.

George M. Cohan and his business partner, Sam Harris, are recent big hits on Broadway.  They are the talk of the town, but are still looking for excellent talent to headline their shows.  George is returning to his girlfriend Mary's apartment after a meeting with Fay Templeton, a current Broadway sensation.  In his eagerness to coax Fay into taking their lead part, Sam offered Fay the song George had written for Mary.  Fay loved the song, which leaves George in hot water.  He shows up at Mary's apartment with flowers and a big box of chocolates, just in time to hear her singing the song that now belongs to Fay.  Feeling guilty, George isn't sure how to broach the subject.  Mary inquires how things went with Fay Templeton.  Knowing he's already hired her, George pretends to be hesitating about having Fay in his show: "Big stars are always so temperamental and hard to get along with...asking impossible terms and conditions."  Mary says that she thinks he should give in to Fay.  George: "No matter what she asks?"  Mary: "No matter what she asks."  George (surprised): "Why are you so concerned for Fay Templeton?"  Mary: "Oh, I don't care for Templeton.  I'm looking out for you."  George: "Always worried about me, aren't you?  Ever think about yourself?"  Mary, jokingly: "Not much, lately.  Haven't had time.  The minute I saw you without your beard, I knew here was a little boy who needed a lot of looking after.  So, I gave myself the job.  There are a lot of singers, you know, but very few really good looker-afters."  Mary winks at George.  George is touched and impressed by Mary's self-sacrifice.  George: "How would you like a lifetime job of looking-after?"  Mary agrees to his proposal of marriage and they kiss.  She breaks off, remembering the coffee is boiling over in the kitchen.  George, feigning a sudden recollection: "Oh, darling...something I forgot to tell you.  Uh, I gave your song to Fay Templeton tonight."  Mary smiles and nods, continuing into the kitchen.  Thinking she mustn't have heard him, George repeats himself.  Mary, still smiling, says she knows.  "I knew you did, dear, when you brought the candy and flowers."  She winks at George again before turning into the kitchen.

The Cohan family is together to celebrate Jerry's 62nd birthday.  Jerry is surprised with a cake and gifts from everyone.  The family jokes and laughs together as Jerry opens each of his gifts.  After trying on a smoking jacket he received from George, Jerry finds a letter in the pocket.  George tells his dad to wait until later to read it, but Jerry is excited to get a letter from George and reads it aloud to everyone.  Jerry, reading: "Maybe I've never told you this before, but no son ever had a better dad, or one to be prouder of.  You and Mother have always given me more love and understanding than I ever deserved.  And all the luck that I've had is due to the things you two have taught me.  Nothing I can do could ever repay the debt..."  George goes on in the letter to make his mother and father partners in his businesses.  They will now own half of all his theaters, plays, and songs.  Jerry finishes reading the letter with tears in his eyes, and George's mother is no less affected.  Her daughter supports her as she sobs for joy and gratitude.

The U.S. has just entered World War I and George goes to the recruiting office to join the army.  However, the men at the recruiting office tell him that, at 39, he is too old to be recruited.  George: "What's eight or nine years, more or less?  The Germans aren't going to ask me for a birth certificate."  Recruiter: "I know how you feel, Mr. Cohan, but you've got to be young and tough for this army." George's eyes narrow as the young recruiter continues.  "It's no picnic - -all those hardships - -the mental strain, the trenches, the fighting, the marching.  No, you'll never be able to stand it."  George: "Hardships and physical strain?  Young man, you don't know what you're talking about.  This war is a coffee klatsch compared to a season with a musical show.  I'd like to see any one of these kids do what I do in the course of an evening's performance and be on their feet at the finish.  I'll give you a slight idea of what I mean."  The men in the recruiting line step aside, as George performs a physically grueling excerpt from one of his shows.  Although everyone is impressed, George's application is still denied.  Recruiter, walking up to shake George's hand: "I'm afraid we have more need of you here than over there."  George: "Well, that'll make the war last a year longer."  Despite his disappointment, George graciously accepts the rejection and leaves the recruiting office.
