ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Snatcher, the Boxtroll exterminator, drives through the dark streets of Cheesebridge, warning the citizens to keep their curfew.  Snatcher, bellowing over his loudspeakers: "Don't dawdle, or the beasts will tear you limb from limb.  They will add your flesh to their rivers of blood and mountains of bones."  Gasping in fright, every visible townsperson rushes into their own house, bolting their doors and fastening their windows.  Frightened eyes peek out of shuttered houses as Snatcher calls out his frightening prophecies: "Hide your tender and delicious babies.  Beware the bloodthirsty monsters.  They'll fry your eyes, gnaw on your knees, gobble your gizzards.  Beware!"  Snatcher leaves behind streets empty, dark, and silent.

The Boxtrolls are out on their nightly foraging spree when Fish finds an old alarm clock.  Tinkering with the mechanism, Fish is delighted when he succeeds in making the clock work.  The ringing of the alarm attracts the attention of Shoe, who is foraging nearby.  Shoe snatches the clock from Fish and runs to a corner, guarding the pilfered treasure with his body and hissing threateningly at Fish.  With a scowl for his greedy friend, Fish returns to the rubbish heap, finding a discarded musical teddy bear.  Fish listens to the bear with as much joy as he had for the alarm clock.  Meanwhile, Shoe, hearing the music, becomes less content with the clock.  Stashing the clock in his box, he sneaks up behind Fish and makes a dive for the bear.  This time, however, Fish isn't going to let go of his treasure without a fight.

Winnie has come to her father's study to give him some important news.  She finds Lord Portley-Rind in conference with his two fellow city officials, Sir Langsdale and Sir Broderick.  The gentlemen are seated at a table, at the center of which is a large pile of cheeses.  Lord PR, quieting the laughing men: "Important town business to discuss.  First on the docket...more complaints of crumbling bridges."  Sir Langsdale, eyeing the cheese pile: "Speaking of crumbling, is that a new blue cheese I see?"  Sir Broderick leans in closer to sniff: "Does smell delicious."  Lord PR, needing little convincing: "Well, I suppose we could do with a nibble first."  Chuckling, the men stab the pile with their dainty forks, exclaiming in delight over the rich cheese.  Winnie folds her arms in disgust as the men spend the next few moments deliberating over the characteristics of the cheese.  Finally, Lord PR feels compelled to return to business and pulls out a sheet of paper: "All good fun, but we do have this school funding initiative to vote on.  Been sitting here for months!  All in favor of - -"  Sir Broderick interrupts, finishing his sentence: "Cutting open the Roquefort next?"  Broderick and Langsdale, in unison: "Aye!"  Lord PR, tossing the school initiative over his shoulder: "Well, okay, okay."

Archibald Snatcher has come to the home of Lord Portley-Rind to return the gentleman's coveted white hat.  (Snatcher found both the hat and Portley-Rind's daughter out in the dark alley.)  At the sound of Snatcher's voice, Lord PR enters the hall, seeing the man clutching his daughter's arm.  Snatcher, giving Winnie a little push toward her father: "I found something in the street that belongs to you."  Lord PR, with a loud gasp, trots quickly down the stairs.  Ignoring Winnie, Lord PR attempts to grab the hat from Snatcher's hands.  Winnie looks surprised.  When Snatcher is reluctant to release the hat, Lord PR reprimands him: "Now, now, Snatcher.  One doesn't acquire a white hat by simply picking it up off the street!"  Finally succeeding in wresting the hat from Snatcher's grasp, Lord PR sighs in disgust, seeing two very black fingerprints on the brim of his beloved hat.  Lord PR, pompously: "A white hat indicates privilege, prestige, position!  It must be earned."  Three other white-hat-bearers enter the room, adding their own comments.  Man #1: "With valor!"  Man #2: "Chivalry!"  Man #3: "Or being rich...that's how I got it."  When Snatcher expresses his desire for a white hat, the four look down their noses disgustedly, closing the door of their exclusive Tasting Room.

Snatcher has ordered his men to prepare for a cheese tasting.  The three henchmen are seated reluctantly around the table, fearful looks on their faces.  Mr. Pickles, meekly: "Are you sure about this, Boss?  You know what cheese can do to you."  Snatcher, angrily: "Unless you are referring to how cheese brings men of respect and power together in brotherhood, no, I do not know what cheese does to me!"  Following orders, Mr. Trout begins slicing the cheese, putting the smallest of tastes on Snatcher's plate.  Reluctantly, he passes the plate to Snatcher.  The three watch in horror as Snatcher eats the bite.  While he exclaims over the taste and texture of the cheese, Snatcher begins to scratch his face, where red splotches have suddenly appeared.  A large, moving mass rises under Snatcher's cheek and his lower lip swells to the size of a lobster.  Snatcher, seeing the look on the faces of his men: "What?"  Mr. Pickles: "I think you've had enough for today, Boss."

Eggs, a boy raised by trolls, asks Winnie what a father is.  Winnie: "Um, well, a father's the one who raises you, looks after you, loves you."  Eggs, smiling in understanding, indicates his troll parent: "Oh!  Like Fish!"  Winnie looks down at the troll, who, at that moment, is lapping water from a dish like a dog.  Winnie: "Uh, no.  They're supposed to be like that man in the story, someone who'll do anything to help you.  They always listen and never get angry.  They guide you when you don't know what to do.  They're there when it's dark and you're scared or lonely.  And they are never, ever too busy to talk to you."

Eggs watches helplessly from his cage while Snatcher prepares to crush the Boxtrolls in his machine.  Eggs cries out in frustration, seeing the trolls submit to their fate and hide in their boxes.  Snatcher laughs when Eggs tells them to stop hiding: "Yell all you want, boy.  They ain't gonna run.  You can't change nature."  Herbert, commenting on Eggs's own transformation from troll to boy: "Self-imposed metamorphosis!  Box-boy, you did it!  You changed your nature.  Tell them!"  Eggs: "I tried.  They won't listen!"  Herbert: "You did it!  You made you!  Tell them!  They can change.  They can do it."  Eggs again addresses the trolls: "I'm a Boxtroll and I stopped hiding, so you can, too!  Stand up for yourselves!  Don't be afraid anymore!"  Snatcher pushes the button on the machine, crushing the boxes.  Eggs, believing the trolls to still be inside, is devastated.

Snatcher orders Mr. Pickles and Mr. Trout to lower Eggs into his fiery furnace.  Looking chagrined, the two reluctantly comply.  When Winnie is unable to convince her father to stop the proceedings, she approaches the two men, begging them to shut down the machine.  Mr. Trout, sadly: "I can't, Miss.  Apologies."  Mr. Pickles: "We're just doing our job!"  Winnie, narrowing her eyes: "Your jobs?  Are you pest exterminators, or evil henchmen?"  Mr. Pickles and Mr. Trout gasp in horror.  Mr. Pickles: "I knew that's how people saw us!"  Winnie, pleading: "You don't have to do this!"  Mr. Trout: "She has a point, Mr. Pickles.  This could be our chance for redemption!"  Mr. Pickles smiles: "A second chapter!"  Mr. Trout: "People love a flawed hero."  Smiling, Mr. Trout pushes the button to raise Eggs away from the furnace.  Mr. Pickles: "Redeemed!"  Mr. Trout, humbly: "Thank you, Miss."
