ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

After Buck is abducted and taken from his comfortable life in California, he is shipped to the Yukon and sold to Perrault, whose dog sled is to deliver mail across the Yukon. Being a fish out of water, Buck struggles with the commands of his new master who hopes that with Buck can make the long trek to the mail depot before the deadline. 

It is the anniversary of John's son's death and he is sitting in his cabin, drinking his pain away.  As he swallows the hard liquor, his dog, Buck, eyes him pointedly.  John: "You got something to say?"  He pours himself another glass.  Growling quietly, Buck knocks the glass to the floor and grabs the bottle, carrying it to the cabin door.  John, angrily: "Bring that back!"  Buck opens the door with a paw, goes outside, and buries the bottle in the snow.  He sits down on top of it.  John, following the dog outside: "Don't do this!  I need that."  Buck, nose in the air determinedly, ignores him.  John tries repeatedly to push the dog off of the bottle, but he is too big.  John reluctantly gives up.


Once in Alaska, a man named John Thornton drops his harmonica which Buck retrieves for him, moments before being sold to Perrault and his partner Francoise for their dog sled to deliver mail across the Yukon.

After Thornton rescues Buck, they come across an abandoned cabin where Thornton has a heart-to-heart with his new friend... "My son was always reading. Adventure stories. He was crazy about the news coming out of the Yukon. Wasn't the gold, he didn't care about that, it was the mountains. He spent all day looking at maps and pictures of the mountains, dreaming about what was on the other side, places no-one had been. Wild places. We could go. You and me, see what's out there. What do you think?"


John is writing a letter by lamplight when a sound from outside the cabin draws him to the door.  Seeing nothing, he turns back just as a gunshot ricochets off the cabin wall, causing John to drop the lamp.  Fire immediately begins to spread, but John has no time to check it.  Hearing the gunman's steps outside, John hides behind the door until he sees the barrel of the rifle appear.  Grabbing it, John struggles with Hal, a former acquaintance, who had harbored unfounded suspicions that John was hiding a secret treasure trove of gold.  The two men wrestle over the gun until Hal succeeds in shooting John in the stomach.  John, mortally wounded, backs away, his hands in the air.  Still training the gun on John, Hal demands to know where the gold is.  John tosses him a pocketful of nuggets: "It's everywhere."  (By sheer accident, John had discovered that the river by his cabin was filled with enough to make many men rich.)  John weakly drops to his knees as Hal greedily picks up the nuggets.  John, gasping: "Take it.  Take it all.  Won't change anything.  Won't bring back the dead."  


Perrault grudgingly makes Buck the lead when no other dog can do it. Buck's speed and strength allow the sled to arrive with the mail on time.

Francoise is gingerly walking across the ice covering the river, testing it for its strength before allowing Perrault to bring the dog sled across.  Suddenly, the ice under Francoise collapses and she plunges into the frigid water below.  The currently immediately begins to carry her away from the opening in the ice and she is trapped in the water with no way to escape.  Without hesitating, Buck runs toward the hole in the ice and plunges in.  He swims quickly to Francoise and she grabs hold of him.  He swims with her on his back until he reaches an area where the ice is thin enough to break through.  Reaching air, he helps to push her out into Perrault's arms.


Buck, a large, gentle mix of Saint Bernard and Scotch Shepherd, after being abducted and shipped to the Yukon, is sold to Perrault and his partner Francoise for their dog sled to deliver mail across the Yukon. Perrault hopes that with Buck, he can make the long trek to the mail depot before the deadline. Buck is introduced to the other dogs; Dolly, Pike, Jo, Billie, Dub, Dave, and Sol-leks, including the pack leader, a husky named Spitz.

Hal, fresh from the city, has bought himself a dog team and sled.  Hearing of the fortunes made in the Alaskan gold rush, he is certain that he only has to get to the Yukon to secure himself as much gold as he desires.  Dressed in flamboyant, weather-inappropriate town clothes, Hal climbs aboard his newly purchased sled and voices an arrogant "Mush."  The dogs immediately begin to strain, trying and failing to pull the sled even an inch.  John arrives on the scene and his expert eyes quickly diagnose the problem: the runners of the sled are frozen to the ice.  Hal, however, attributes the problem to lazy dogs and orders Charles to beat them with a club.  John intervenes, showing Hal how to break his runners free with the "gee pole."  Instead of being grateful for the timely advice, Hal is resentful.  While John expertly breaks the sled free, he tells Hal that it is the wrong season for an expedition to the Yukon: "You're setting off too far into the spring.  Half that trail is on the river."  Hal smiles condescendingly: "Well, that leaves half the trail fit for travel."  John tries to tell the city boy that he is leading his team into danger, but Hal refuses to listen.  


Perrault walks down the line of hungry dogs, throwing each one a fish.  Spitz, the lead dog, feels he has a right to double the ration and forcibly steals the fish of the dog beside him.  The poor dog, whimpering, looks down sadly at the tail of his fish, the only part that remains of his portion.  Buck, watching, looks down hungrily at his own large fish.  Quietly, he walks over to the hungry dog and places his own fish on the ground in front of him.  Nudging the fish toward the dog with his nose to signify the gift, Buck walks away.  All the other dogs watch the selfless action with surprise.  The hungry dog barks its thanks to Buck.

Perrault introduces Buck, his new sled dog, to the other dogs on the team.  Showing Buck his place at the back of the pack, Perrault puts on his harness and tells him to simply follow the lead dog.  When Perrault climbs on the sled and orders the team to "mush," the dogs begin to run together, all except Buck.  Buck, who is confused by the new setup, is still sitting.  The sled strikes him, pushing him along until he finally stands.  Instead of obeying the command to follow the lead dog, Buck continually strains at his harness, trying to go in a different direction than the team.  His efforts to strike out in his own direction cause him to repeatedly run into other dogs, as well as the sled.  While the other dogs remain focused on following the lead dog, Buck's eyes are turned away by the many things he sees around him.  Finally, he spots a white rabbit on the side of the path.  Easily the largest dog of the pack, when Buck throws his full weight behind chasing after the rabbit, he pulls the entire team as well as the sled off the path and down a hill.  With his team and his sled in a shambles at the bottom of the slope, Perrault tries to explain the idea of teamwork to Buck: "All our fates are one.  Buck, we are all tied up together now.  We fall all together, but so do we get up as one.  Come, we try again."

Buck is leading the team of sled dogs across the frozen Yukon.  Suddenly, the sound of an avalanche begins to rumble above them.  Perrault cries out for Buck to turn the team left, away from the avalanche.  Buck looks to the left, seeing the rocky face of another mountain.  Buck knows that turning left will give them no avenue of escape from the torrent of snow.  Buck instead looks to the right, spotting an ice cave at the foot of the mountain.  Against Perrault's orders, Buck turns right, heading straight for the avalanche.  Perrault, who can't see the ice cave, thinks that Buck is crazy.  But Buck persists, taking the team straight for the cave.  Once inside, Buck leads them through a tunnel behind the ice, Perrault screaming all the way.  But, when they break out on the other side, they find that Buck's direction has led them to safety.
