ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

After years of prosperity in the 1920's, former boxing great Jim Braddock and family have been ravaged by the Great Depression. Early one morning, Jim and his wife, Mae, are getting ready for the day in their small run-down apartment. While she's making breakfast (fried baloney and watered down milk) Jim accidentally wakes up their young daughter. She's hungry too and sits down at the table for her morning meal. But after quickly eating her one slice of meat, the little girl asks for seconds.  Mae: "Oh, I'm sorry sweetheart. We need to save some for the boys."  Dad then tells her that he had a dream last night of having a huge dinner at The Ritz Hotel and he's stuffed. He then gives her his meal for the day (even though he has a prize fight later that night), and walks out the door, as Mae looks loving after him.

During the Great Depression (and like most men in the area) Jim heads to the docks to try and be lucky enough to be picked as a worker for the day. The foreman comes to the gate and announces he just needs nine men out of the hundreds gathered there. He picks his nine but overlooks Jim -- who sadly walks away -- wondering where he's going to find money to feed his family.

Jim returns home after  a long day of finding no work. He's greeted by his daughter, Rosy, who informs him that her brother stole something. He walks into their run-down apartment and finds his son quietly sitting alone as his wife explains: "It's from the butcher's (a large salami sitting on the table). And he won't say a word about it, will you, Jay?"   Jim (to Jay): "Okay, pick it up. Let's go."  They return to the butcher's where the boy is shown apologizing and giving back the meat. Out on the street, Jay begins to open up and tell his dad about a friend who had to leave his family and go away to live with an uncle to survive. Jim: "Yeah, well, things ain't easy at the moment, Jay, you're right. But there's a lot of people worse off than we are. And just 'cause things ain't easy, that don't give you the excuse to take what's not yours, does it? That's stealing, right? And we don't steal. No matter what happens, we don't steal. Not ever. You got me?"  The boy nods and promises he'll never steal again.  Jim: "And I promise you, we will never send you away."  At this, Jay bursts into tears and falls into his father's arms.

Jimmy returns home from his latest fight to inform his wife of the bad news: "I didn't get the dough. They didn't pay up. They called it a 'no contest,' said the fight was an embarrassment. They decommissioned me."  Mae: "Jimmy, what happened to your hand?"  Jim: "It's broke again in three places. They said I'm through, Mae. They said I can't be a boxer no more."  Mae: "Jimmy, if you can't work... we're not going to be able to pay the electric, or the heat. And we're out of credit at the grocery. So I think we need to pack the kids. They can stay at my sister's for a little while and I'll take in more sewing..."  Jimmy stops her and says he'll work double, triple shifts -- whatever it takes.  Mae then reminds him that he can't work with a broken hand in a cast. He says she's right, not the way it looks, as he grabs black shoe polish and gives it to his wife. Sitting there together, Jim looks at her through eyes of a failure, a loser, a once wealthy champion who can't even provide for his family: "I'm sorry..."  Mae: "No," looking straight into his eyes, "No."  She then kisses him tenderly, sits in his lap and embraces him tightly -- reaffirming her respect, love and the "hero status" of her man -- giving him exactly what he needs.

Mae and daughter, Rosy, are returning back to their apartment in the dead of winter when they discover a man messing with their electric meter. She asks who he is and is informed that he is turning their heat and power off since they are past due. Mae pleads with the man not to, that kids are involved, but he responds that he has kids too and doesn't want to be fired. Later that evening, the kids are bundled and coughing in bed (their breathe seen in the cold), as Jim and Mae sit at the table by candlelight and count what little money they have -- far short to turn the power back on. Mae then places dinner down on the table and sits with her husband.  Jim: "We ain't got nothin'. Nothin' left to sell... All the guys you could've married, huh?"  Mae then grabs Jim's hands and begins to pray, as one of the kids continues to cough: "Bless, us, O Lord, and these Thy gifts which we are about to receive from Thy bounty..." At this point she looks up and sees her husband staring coldly away, eventually releasing her hands.  Mae: "Jim?"  Jim (shaking his head): "I'm all prayed out."

In the middle of winter and with their heat turned off due to unpaid bills, Mae and the kids scavenge firewood from an old billboard. Back inside their rundown apartment, the children still have trouble keeping warm. After tending to Howard's fever and hearing Rosy start to cough, Mae steps out into the cold for a moment alone to cry. Jim returns home later in the day and is not happy to find the children gone. Mae explains: "Jim, we can't even keep 'em warm... The boys will sleep on the sofa at my father's in Brooklyn. And Rosy'll stay at my sister's. Jimmy, we can't keep 'em!"  Jim: "You don't make decisions about our children without me."  Mae: "What if they get really sick? We already owe Dr. McDonald..."  Jim: "If you send them away, then all this has been for nothing! ...If we can't stay together, that means we lost! That means we've given up!"  Mae: "I am not giving up! I am trying to protect our children."  Jim: "Mae, I promised him (his son, Jay). Outside the butcher's. I looked him in the eyes and I promised him with all of my heart, I would never ever send him away. You can't do this."  Mae: "You weren't here."  Jim: "You can't break my promise," as he walks out the door.

After being decommissioned for over a year from boxing, Jimmy is given a chance to fight again in Madison Square Garden against the number two heavyweight contender, Corn Griffin (a preliminary fight for Griffin before the championship fight), for a purse of $250 -- with just one days notice. Late at night after the fight, Jim's wife and kids are waiting up for dad to come home. Jim enters their meager apartment while everyone gathers quietly on the other side of the room. He sits down with his head hung, showing an attitude of defeat and destitution. The family readies themselves for comfort and cheering up, as Jimmy looks sadly at them in silence. Then suddenly he says, "I won," and shows them a wad of money as the kids run screaming and jump into his arms. Not very nice!

Jim, Joe and their two wives are dinning out in a fancy restaurant after making a deal for Jim to fight the reigning world heavyweight champion, Max Baer -- as a 10 to 1 underdog. Baer enters the restaurant with his entourage and sends over a bottle of champion to Jimmy's table.  Waiter: "From the gentleman who just arrived.  Mr. Baer said to wish you bon voyage."  At this, Jim gets up and approaches Baer, who stands and gives a warm handshake: "Well, if it ain't Cinderella Man."  Jim: "Thanks for the champagne, Mr. Baer. You're doing a great job publicizing the fight. I really appreciate it. I hope it's gonna be a very successful night for both of us. You keep telling people you're gonna kill me in the ring. Uh, I got three kids at home. Now, you're upsetting my family, particularly my wife (he says in a jovial manner)...  Baer (interrupting): "Listen, Braddock. I'm asking you sincerely not to take this fight. Now, you seem like a decent fellow. People admire you. I really don't want to hurt you (Jim snickers). It's no joke, pal. People die in fairy tales all the time (Baer recently killed two boxing opponents)."  Photographers then come and take some publicity pictures.  Baer: "Yeah. I think the smart thing would be for you to take a fall. Circus act's over, old man.  Jim: "I think I'll go a few rounds with the dancing Baer."  As Jim and company start to leave, he introduces his wife, Mae, giving Baer room for another threat: "You ought to talk to him, Mae. You are far too pretty to be a widow."

Mae is scrubbing a frying pan after dinner while Jim is playing with the kids -- giving them boxing tips. As Mae continues to scrub, she recalls attending a recent funeral for a friend who's husband passed away, and how dangerous boxing is. Mae: "All right. That's enough, now."  But Jim keeps giving the boxing lesson...  Mae: "That's enough, please."  Jim continues boxing with the kids...  Mae: "All right, that's enough! No boxing in the house! No boxing out of the house. All right? No boxing, period!  (Talking to kids) You're gonna stay in school. And then you're gonna go to college and you're gonna have professions. Because you're not gonna have your skulls smashed in, too! Do you understand me? Is that clear?!"  All the kids nod in stunned silence.

Joe is alone with Jim in the locker room prepping him for the world heavyweight championship bout (a 10-1 underdog) against Max Baer, a monstrous man who's killed two men in the ring. There's a knock on the door and Joe barks out, "What?"  The door opens and in comes Mae, Jim's wife. Both men are shocked to see her, as Mae has never attended one of Jim's fights -- before, during or after a bout. Joe politely leaves, as Mae explains: "You can't win without me behind you (quoting something Jim has told her for years).  Jim: "That's what I've been trying to tell you."  Mae: "Maybe I understand some. About having to fight. So you just remember who you are. You're the Bulldog of Bergen and the pride of New Jersey. You're everybody's hope. And you're your kids' hero. And you are the champion of my heart, James J. Braddock."  After a tight hug and kiss, Jim replies: "You know, you better get home. (Fighting back tears) You know, boxers hang around places like this and you don't want to get tangled up with that kind of crowd. Nice girl like you."  Mae (in tears): "Please, Jimmy. I'll see you at home?"  Jim: "See you at home, baby."
