ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Dan is a recent widower and stay at home dad, where he writes an advice column for a local newspaper. On a busy school morning, Dad gets his three daughters ready for school while telling them details of the upcoming traditional family vacation with relatives. The more rebellious middle teenage daughter doesn't want to go to the family event and for the first time complains about missing school, "What about my studies?" making Dad smile. The doorbell rings, and after the young boy butters Dad up by talking about the column, he reveals he's there for Dan's daughter. Dan calls for the older one, but the boy says he's actually there for the middle one.  Dan: "Come back in two years," while closing the door.

Dan picks up his oldest daughter from school and is greeted with, "You're late."  And then a very cheery smile, "Can I drive?"  He doesn't let her, and as he pulls up to pick up his other daughter, says, "Look. You're a fine driver. It's just the other hundred million dri..."  Daughter: "If you don't let me, I'll never learn."  Dan: "But if I let you, you may not live."

Dan goes to pick up his three daughters from school and one is missing. He pulls up to a teenage coffee shop, peers through the window, and finds her seconds from kissing a boy. He immediately starts pounding on the window -- stopping the lip action just in time. outside, his daughter Cara is not happy... "Could you be more embarrassing?!"  Dan: "Sorry to interrupt your studies with your friend."  Cara: "Well, we can't all be monks like you."  Dan: "By the way, you're grounded."  Cara: "Oh, I'm grounded? Mm-hmm. For how long?"  Dan: "For life."  Cara: "It's humiliating!"  Dan: "Okay, you're grounded for a month."  Cara: "A month! But that's worse than forever."  Cara: "Okay, Dad, why?"  Dan: "You lied to me."  Cara: "Yeah, well, you can't handle the truth."  Dan: "Maybe you should try me next time."  Cara: "Okay, Dad, I... I love Marty."  Dan: "Oh, please."  ...Cara: "I didn't know right away. It took me awhile."  Dan: "What's a while?"  Cara: "I've known him for three weeks, but I knew in three days."  Dan: "Three days? You can't know in three days! ...What you're feeling is not love. It is young and reckless...you may think it's love, it is not!"  Cara: "No, I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him... (etc.)"  As dad pulls the car away, Cara pressing her hand against the car window as her boyfriend presses his against the restaurant glass...

Driving to a family reunion with his children, Dan's two oldest girls are irritated at him: Jane, for not letting her drive; and Cara, for not letting her see a boy she "loves."  Dan talks to the youngest, Lilly, from the backseat (where all three are sitting): "I think your sisters aren't very happy with me."  Lilly: "Duh."  Dad: "Why do you think?"  Lilly: "You're a good father, but sometimes a bad dad."  Dad: "Who told you to say that?"  Lilly: "No one."  Dad: "Was it Jane or Cara? You can tell me."  Lilly: "I made it up myself."  Dad: "No. You didn't."  Lilly: "I made it up myself. I'm in the fourth grade. I can make things up for myself."  Dad: "Jane or Cara?"  Lilly: "I made it up myself."  This continues back and forth until all three girls from the back stress (six exasperated eyes glaring at their father!): "She's in the fourth grade!"

Dan (a lonely widower with three daughters) takes a break from his parent's beach house and all his relatives and visits a local used bookstore. A lady (Marie) arrives and needs assistance purchasing a book -- and since the owner is on the phone and too busy to help -- she mistakes Dan for an employee and approaches him for advice. She nervously rambles on about wanting something funny and to be "swept up." Obviously attracted to her, Dan plays the part and wanders around the store collecting a random armful of books. He lays them out in front of her, ad-libing the virtues of each: poetry; Dickinson; Little Neruda; Life of Gandhi ("no one has ever been quite so cool as him"); Lighthouses; A Good Man is Hard to Find; Anna Karenina; Everyone Poops; Fishcliff ("nothing rivals the romance," causing her to laugh).  When the owner finally comes up, Marie excitedly says she wants them all, "and make sure he gets the commission."  When the owner reveals Dan doesn't work there, she says to Dan, "You are smooth."  Dan: "Uh, actually, no, I'm not smooth."

After Dan (a lonely widower with three daughters) returns to rejoin the family at the beach house, he tells his two brothers that he met an incredible woman at the used bookstore. "You got her number?"  Yep. "You gonna call?"  It's complicated (since the woman revealed she's just started a new relationship).  "He just met her! He's probably worried it's too soon."  "No, it's never too soon. Especially for somebody his age."  The brothers begin telling everyone else in the house -- "Uncle Dan met a hottie!"  Finally, brother Mitch goes and grabs his new girlfriend to ask. As she enters the room and locks eyes with Dan, both are dumbfounded -- she being the girl from the bookstore. Awwwkward!

After Dan spends the afternoon talking and falling in love with a mysterious woman at the bookstore (Marie), and then returns to the family vacation home only to be shattered to find out she is his brother's new girlfriend (unknown to anyone else)... he struggles controlling his emotions at the dinner table.  Brother Mitch: "I want to say, the first time that I saw her (Marie), ...well, I thought that I just died, because, there's an angel in the room."  Ugh...as Dan watches them kiss. Dan then goes to the kitchen and sticks his head in the freezer. He returns inappropriately with dessert and begins to lose it... "On behalf of my family, I would like to apologize. None of Mitch's previous girlfriends have ever been subjected to such in-depth questioning."  Other brother: "Dan does have a point."  Dan then begins to list them: the body double, the Knicks City Dancer, the massage therapist, and the flight attendants from every major airline.  Everyone's embarrassed, as Mom quickly dismisses everyone -- except Dan -- whom she makes do the dishes alone.

Mitch (a ladies man) thinks he has genuine feelings for his new girlfriend, Marie. The problem is, his brother Dan is genuinely falling in love with the same girl. After Dan says some inappropriate things at the dinner table about Mitch's past flings, they meet in the kitchen...  Dan: "I'm sorry. I was way, way out of line."  Mitch: "No. You're never out of line. You're my brother."  Dan then tries to tell Mitch of his accidental meeting with and feelings for Marie, but is interrupted... "Listen bro, there is nothing that you could say or do that would upset me. ...When you were talking about my other girls, I realized something. What I feel for Marie is different. You know that feeling in, um... in your..."  Dan: "Heart."  Mitch: "Yeah. When your heart is just..."  Dan: "Pounding."  Mitch: "...Pounding. And..."  Dan: "Like it's actually outside your ribs... Exposed, vulnerable..."  Mitch: "Yeah. It's..."  Dan: "Wonderful and awful and heartsick and alive, all at the same time."  Mitch: "Yes! Yes. What do we call that?"  Dan (chuckling): "Uh, love."  Mitch: "You always did have the words."

While on a family vacation at a beach house with all his relatives, Dan (a lonely widower with three daughters) is cornered in the laundry room by most of the family. They think it's time he moved on and had a little fun in his life. Mom announces that she has set Dan up for a blind date with Ruthie "Pig face" Draper for drinks at 6:00 PM!  Dan adamantly declines, but Mom insists since, "it's all been decided!"  The others tease Dan about the girl they all knew as kids. His brothers tease: "Come on, it'll be swine...fine."  "Go hog-wild."  Later, as Dan is waiting for his date to show up, his brothers continue to tease with an impromptu song about "Ruthie...living in a house of bricks... I'll be your big bad wolf... This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home..."  However, when Ruthie shows up, she has grown into a beautiful young woman -- with a very attractive nose.

Dan (a widower who is struggling with his own feelings for his brother's new girlfriend) catches his youngest teenage daughter kissing her forbidden boyfriend on a family vacation. He pulls her into a room for a timeout...  Cara: "Dad, I love him. I love him, I love him..."  Dan: "No, you don't."  Cara: "What we have is true love. And just because you don't have it, doesn't mean you have to punish us."  Dan: "Infatuation is not love. Sexual attraction is not love."  Cara: "You don't understand."  Dan (chuckling): "Uh, I don't understand."  Cara: "No, you don't even understand that you don't understand."  Dan (bursting out): "What don't I understand? Please, help me out. What is it? It's frustrating that you can't be with this person? That there's something keeping you apart, that there's something about this person you connect with? And whenever you're near this person, you don't know what to say, and you say everything that's in your mind and in your heart. And you know that if you could just be together, that this person will help you become the best possible version of yourself."  Cara: "So Marty can stay?"  Nope, as dad puts the lad in a car to take him to a bus, and tells him: "Look, I'm not your parent, but I think you should know, love is a dangerous feeling."  Marty: "No, sir."  Dan: "Are you arguing with me?"  Marty: "No, it's just... Love is not a feeling, it's an ability."  Dan: "Who told you that?"  Marty: "Made it up, Mr. Burns."  As the car drives off, Cara hysterically chases after it, sobbing.  Marie (his brother's girlfriend): "That's sweet."  Dan: "What's sweet? How is that sweet?"  Marie: "To be that certain and to feel so much love."  Dan: "Love isn't a feeling... It's an ability."  Marie: "Well, if that's true, you have one gifted daughter."  Cara (screaming angrily at her father): "You are a murderer of love!!"

In a reversal of roles, Dan (a widower) knocks on the door to the room of his three daughters, wishing to apologize for some recent bad choices DAD has made this time. Besides ignoring his youngest daughter's handmade gift and having his license revoked by the police (even though he won't trust his oldest daughter to drive), his worst crime was being caught kissing the ex-girlfriend (Marie) of his brother (whom Dan innocently and unknowingly fell in love with)...  Dad: "I know I messed up. Big time."  Girls: "Yep. Yes, you did."  He then mentions how he misses their mom, but how they all remind him of her everyday. "So here is what I'm going to do: I am grounding myself for life. I'm sticking with you. I am going to be with you..."  He discusses getting confused with Marie, but how it's over -- well, actually, the more he talks, the more he realizes he HAS fallen in love (though it's only been three days).  Jane: "Then go get her."  Cara: "We so prefer her to you."  Getting approval of all his girls, Dad runs out to the car, but realizes he can't drive without a license. A smiling Jane seizes the opportunity, takes the keys, as all the girls pile in.  Cara: "This is so queer. But I wouldn't miss it for anything."
