ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

An elderly French aristocrat has requested an audience with the Brothers Grimm, authors of the Cinderella fairytale.  Woman: "I find your collection of folk tales quite brilliant, actually.  But, I must say, I was terribly disturbed when I read your version of the Little Cinder Girl."  Brother #1, laughing: "Well, there are those who swear that Perrault's telling, with its fairy godmother and magic pumpkins, would be closer to the truth."  Brother #2: "Some claim the shoe was made of fur.  Others insist it was glass.  Well, I guess we'll never know."  The woman motions to her servant to bring her a case.  Brother #1 asks about a painting of a girl sitting in the room.  Woman: "Her name was Danielle de Barbarac.  And this was her glass slipper."  The woman takes a beautiful shoe out of the case.  Woman: "Perhaps you will allow me to set the record straight."  Brother #2: "Well, then it's true, the story?"  The brothers look at each other, surprised.  Woman: "Yes, quite."

Auguste is saying goodbye to his new wife, stepdaughters, and daughter, Danielle, before leaving on a business trip.  They are all gathered at the door to bid him farewell.  Unnoticed by the others, Auguste experiences several twinges of pain in his left arm, but continues to prepare for his journey.  As he rides his horse down the driveway, young Danielle sorrowfully watches him go.  Suddenly, he collapses and falls off his horse, a victim of a heart attack.  Danielle screams, running to her father, and the rest of the household follows.  Danielle sobs, trying to shake her father back into consciousness.  He awakens for a few brief moments, looks at his wife, and then his eyes fall on Danielle.  He gently touches her face: "I love you."  Auguste dies.  His wife and children mourn.

The baroness is having breakfast with her two daughters, Marguerite and Jacqueline.  Marguerite, a spoiled, ill-tempered woman, thrusts aside her breakfast: "I said I wanted four-minute eggs, not four one-minute eggs.  And where, in God's name, is our bread!"  Baroness: "Marguerite, precious, what do I always say about tone?"  Jacqueline: "A lady of breeding ought never to raise her voice any louder than the gentle hum of a whispering wind."  Marguerite glares at her sister.  Marguerite: "I was not shrill.  I was resonant.  A courtier knows the difference."  Baroness: "I very much doubt your style of resonance would be permitted in the royal court."  Marguerite: "I'm not going to the royal court, am I, Mother? No one is...except some Spanish pig they have the nerve to call a princess."  (Marguerite refers to the prince's betrothal to the Spanish princess.)  The Baroness still has hopes that Marguerite can catch the prince's eye: "Darling, nothing is final until you're dead.  And even then, I'm sure God negotiates."

Danielle, a servant girl, is pretending to be a courtier to rescue a fellow servant.  She puts on a beautiful gown and shyly steps out to show Gustave her transformed appearance.  Although she looks beautiful, it's clear that Danielle is feeling insecure.  She bites her lip, looking down.  Gustave takes her hands: "If you're going to be a noblewoman, you must play the part."  He gently lifts her chin until she's looking into his eyes: "You look down to no one."  Danielle: "I am just a servant in a nice dress."

The Baroness De Ghent is surprised by a visit from the young and attractive prince.  She stalls him while her daughters are in the house, preparing themselves to impress the prince.  Suddenly, the two girls come rushing out the front door, stumbling over each other to get to the prince first.  The baroness presents her daughters to the prince.  She gestures to her blonde, lithe eldest: "Your Highness, may I present Marguerite Francoise Louise of the House of Ghent?"  Her hand dismissively moves over her pudgy second daughter: "And Jacqueline?"  Jacqueline desperately tries to make herself more attractive, tucking a long feather awkwardly into her hair.  The prince, used to women falling all over him, still tries to be polite: "Ladies, excuse me, but you seem to have blossomed overnight."  His eyes are suddenly caught by a giant gold brooch adorning Marguerite's very low-cut bosom.  Prince: "I must say, Marguerite, that brooch is...stunning."  Marguerite touches it, pleased her goal to attract attention to her cleavage has been accomplished: "This old thing?  You are too kind."  She looks temptingly at the prince.  Jacqueline, determined not to be undone, grabs the feather out of her hair and tucks it into the front of her dress, hoping the prince will also notice her chest.  She tries to wink suggestively, but only ends up looking comical.  The prince bids the ladies good day.

Danielle has come to the court of the King to redeem her friend from being sold into slavery in America.  She tries to offer the jailer gold for his life, but the jailer refuses, yelling at Danielle.  The prince overhears and demands to know why the jailer is yelling at a lady.  He explains he's trying to do his duty: "It's my job to take these criminals and thieves to the coast."  Danielle: "A servant is not a thief, Your Highness, and those who are cannot help themselves."  The prince asks Danielle to explain why they should not be held responsible for their actions.  Danielle: "If you suffer your people to be ill-educated and their manners corrupted from infancy, and then punish them for those crimes to which their first education disposed them, what else is to be concluded, Sire, but that you first make thieves and then punish them."  The court and the prince are impressed by this humanistic philosophy and the prince orders the release of Danielle's friend.

The prince is following Danielle through the courtyard of the castle, trying to learn her name.  (He has just allowed her to buy the freedom of a servant from the slave trade, and he is curious to know who she is.)  They are discussing Thomas More's book, Utopia.  Prince: "I confess the plight of the everyday rustic bores me."  Danielle: "I gather you do not converse with many peasants?"  The prince laughs: "Certainly not.  No, naturally."  Danielle, disgusted with his attitude, begins to walk away: "Excuse me, Sire, but there is nothing natural about it.  A country's character is defined by its everyday rustics, as you call them.  They are the legs you stand on, and that position demands respect."  The prince, unused to being criticized, is astounded: "Am I to understand that you find me arrogant?"  Danielle: "Well, you gave one man back his life, but did you even glance at the others?"

The Baroness shows her two daughters a beautiful dress, telling Marguerite that she will wear it to the prince's ball.  The girls are in awe at the beauty of the dress and shoes.  Jacqueline: "Where did you get these?"  Baroness: "They're Danielle's dowry...for her wedding."  (Danielle is the Baroness's step-daughter, whom she treats as a servant.)  Jacqueline: "Mother, if that dress is hers, perhaps she will want to wear it to the ball."  Marguerite, nastily: "Since when does a royal function include commoners?"  Marguerite is already coveting the dress, holding it against herself.  Just then, Danielle walks into the room and sees her step-sister holding her dress.  Danielle: "What are you doing?"  The baroness quickly comes up with an excuse: "Airing out your dress for the masque."  Marguerite pretends to dislike the dress to cover up her intention of stealing it: "I suppose, for a commoner, it will have to do.  I mean, look at it...it's practically an antique."  Danielle is surprised and flattered that her stepmother would want her to accompany them to the dance.  Baroness, again lying: "I thought we could all go as one big, happy family."  Jacqueline, disgusted by her mother's deception, storms out of the room.  Danielle: "What's the matter with her?"  Marguerite, still lying: "She doesn't want you to go (to the ball)."

The prince is having a philosophical discussion with his friend, Leonardo da Vinci...  Prince: "Do you really think there is only one perfect mate?"  Leonardo: "As a matter of fact, I do."  Prince: "Well, then how can you be certain to find them?  And if you do find them, are they really the one for you, or do you only think they are?  And what happens if the person you're supposed to be with never appears?  Or, she does, but you're too distracted to notice?"  Leonardo: "You learn to pay attention."  Prince: "Then, let's say God puts two people on Earth and they are lucky enough to find one another.  But one of them gets hit by lightning.  Well, then what?  Is that it?  Or, by chance, you meet someone new and marry all over again.  Is that the lady you're supposed to be with, or was it the first?  And, if so, if the two of them were walking side-by-side, were they both the one for you and you just happened to meet the first one first?  Or, is the second one supposed to be first?  And is everything just chance, or are some things meant to be?"  Leonardo laughs: "You cannot leave everything to Fate, boy.  She's got a lot to do.  Sometimes you must give her a hand."

Danielle is enjoying a relaxing swim in the lake.  Lying on her back with her eyes closed, she doesn't see the man walking toward her on top of the water until he is standing right above her.  (The man is Leonardo da Vinci and he is testing his new invention, boat shoes.)  Leonardo looks down at Danielle, saying pleasantly: "It looks like rain."  Danielle, startled, opens her eyes and screams.  Her scream startles Leonardo, who falls into the water himself.  As the two make their way back to shore, Leonardo quips: "I should leave walking on water to the Son of God."

Prince Henry and Danielle are spending the evening in a gypsy camp, getting to know one another.  They are sharing secrets about themselves.  Henry confesses: "I have no desire to be king."  Danielle: "Oh, but think of all the wonderful things you could do.  For your country, for the world."  Henry: "Yes, but to be so defined by your position.  To never be seen as who you are, but what you are.  You have no idea how insufferable that is."  Danielle (who is secretly a servant, a member of the lower class) says dryly: "You might be surprised.  A gypsy, for example, is rarely painted as anything else.  They are defined by their status as your title defines you.  Yet it is not who they are.  You have been born to privilege, and with that comes specific obligations."

Danielle is back to working as a servant in her stepmother's house after the prince discovered she was only a peasant.  Her stepmother, the baroness, taunts her as she completes her chores until Danielle has finally had enough.  Danielle: "Don't you understand?  You've won!  Go!  Move into your palace and leave us be!"  (Her stepmother ruined Danielle's chances with the prince so her own daughter could have him.)  Baroness: "You are not my problem anymore."  Danielle stops walking, hurt: "Is that what I am?  Your problem?  I have done everything you've ever asked me to do and still you deny me the only thing I ever wanted!"  Baroness, uncaringly: "And what was that?"  Danielle, her voice breaking: "What do you think?  You are the only mother I have ever known.  Was there a time, even in its smallest measurement, that you loved me at all?"  Baroness, coldly: "How can anyone love a pebble in their shoe?"  Danielle's face falls and she begins crying.  She turns and walks away.

The Princess of Spain is about to marry the Prince of France.  Instead of being the happiest day of her life, however, this one appears to be the worst.  The two young people have never before met, their parents having arranged the marriage.  The prince stands at the altar, waiting for his bride.  He is surprised to hear the sound of loud sobbing coming from behind him.  The princess, crying loudly, kneels before the altar next to the prince.  As the music from the processional fades, the sound of her gasping sobs is even more pronounced and members of the audience look at each other uncomfortably.  The priest begins the ceremony, trying to ignore the princess's screeching wails.  She follows the priest's directions during the ceremony, but each action is punctuated by chest-heaving sobs.  Finally, the prince sees the humor in the situation and begins laughing.  He stands, lifting the princess's veil, telling her that he understands.  He sees a man in the crowd who has been sobbing along with the princess (obviously the girl's boyfriend) and he gestures for her to go to him.  Overjoyed, the princess runs to her love, planting kisses all over his face, and the prince leaves the church, quite happy himself to be escaping a loveless marriage.

The Baroness De Ghent has been caught lying to the King and Queen...an offense punishable by death.  They sentence her to exile unless someone in the court is willing to speak for her.  The Baroness looks around pleadingly at the members of the court.  All eyes are cold and everyone is silent.  Finally, the Baroness's step-daughter, Danielle, steps forward.  (Danielle has been mistreated for years by the baroness, who treated her as a servant instead of a daughter of the house.)  The Baroness grovels for mercy at Danielle's feet.  Danielle (now married to the prince) looks toward the king and queen: "Your majesties, all I ask is that you show her the same courtesy that she has bestowed upon me."  The Baroness glares at Danielle angrily, knowing that her future won't be pretty.  We next see the Baroness dressed as a peasant, working in the castle laundry room.
