ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Guy is narrating a view of life in his city.  He speaks admiringly of the "sunglasses people," an example of which is currently coolly hurtling toward Earth with nothing but a glider suit to protect him from the bullets flying at him.  Guy: "The people who wear sunglasses are heroes!  They have a devil-may-care attitude and they run this town."  Just before he hits the pavement, Sunglasses Man pulls his chute, landing neatly in the driver's seat of a blue sports car.  A beautiful blonde in the passenger seat turns to him without surprise at his sudden presence: "You are so hot."  Sunglasses Man: "Oh, I know."  Guy, continuing to admire his hero as he steals the sports car: "See?  That's not even his car.  Or his wife."  Sunglasses Man veers in and out of traffic, dodging bullets from all around.  Guy: "For the sunglasses people, they get to do anything they want."  Sunglasses Man runs multiple red lights, causing accidents all around him and eluding the pursuing police cars.  Guy: "They got cool hair, cool clothes.  I mean, laws aren't really laws to them.  They're more like mild suggestions."  Sunglasses Man jerks his wheel to the right, spinning the car around in slow motion as he fires an enormous gun at the police cars.  The cars blow up in a fiery explosion and the blonde stares admiringly at Sunglasses Man.  Guy, no less admiringly: "See what I mean?  Hero."  Sunglasses Man speeds away, a trail of destruction in his wake.


Getting ready to release the very flawed sequel Free City 2, Soonami's CEO Antwan Hovachelik ignores and makes fun of technical support person Walter "Keys" McKey's idea to create a brand new game. 


Guy has just obtained a pair of sunglasses from one of the players in Free City.  He puts them on for the first time and is blown away by the whole new world he can now see.  All of a sudden, the ordinary city sites take on a different meaning.  Buildings he used to walk by every day are now lit up in colored lights, each one a significant part of the hidden world.  In the middle of his vision he sees a mission he can choose to fulfill (bank heist).  For the first time, he is seeing his world as it really is...a video game.  Finally, he sees a red suitcase with a white cross floating in mid air.  He looks at a man sitting on a bench, an acquaintance he sees everyday.  He points at the suitcase: "Excuse me, do you see this?"  The man, who isn't wearing sunglasses, merely responds with his usual comment: "Have the quarterly reports on my desk by Friday."  He walks away.  Guy, still staring at the suitcase, slowly lifts the glasses above his eyes.  The suitcase disappears.  He replaces his glasses and approaches the suitcase carefully, reaching out a hand to touch it.  As soon as his skin comes in contact with the suitcase, it glows, sending a wave of light throughout his body.  Guy gives a not unpleasant shudder as the energy pours through him and his bloodied nose is instantly healed.  Upbeat music starts to play as Guy grins: "I feel brand new!"  The suitcase has healed him.


Guy is fighting Dude, an enormous, improbably-muscled version of himself.  Normally, the mild-mannered Guy would have no chance fighting such massive strength.  However, Guy possesses an arsenal of invisible weapons.  Dude gasps when Guy changes his arm into a green, Hulk-like limb.  Guy punches Dude with it, sending him crashing through a metal fence.  Guy pulls out an invisible, healing suitcase and recharges his energy before bringing out his next weapon: a light saber.  With the Star Wars theme song playing in the background, Guy battles Dude, exchanging the light saber for a rainbow horse mallet.  With one thrust, he knocks Dude into the air, catching him in the beam of yet another weapon and throwing him across the bus station.


Guy walks into the bank after taking a hiatus from work to better himself.  His best friend Buddy greets him, remarking disparagingly on his different clothes and increased muscle mass.  Guy: "I'm sorry that I haven't been around, Bud.  I've been figuring some stuff out."  Buddy: "What do you mean, 'figure stuff out'?  It is nothing to figure out.  You go to bed.  You wake up.  Then you get some coffee, then you come to work.  And then you repeat the same thing tomorrow."  Guy excitedly tells Buddy that he has become one of the "Sunglass People."  (These are the people who rule the city and have special powers that the others don't.)  Just then, a fierce-looking armed robber enters and orders everyone down on the ground.  Everyone in the bank, except for Guy, immediately complies.  Guy remains standing, still talking to Buddy and ignoring the interruption.  Guy, to his prone friend: "What if I could tell you that you could be more?  Your life could be fuller.  That you're free to make your own decisions, your own choices."  The armed robber stuffs his gun in Guy's face.  Guy deftly disarms him: "We are in the middle of something!"  He turns back to Buddy, pointing at his sunglasses: "These puppies changed my life.  And they're gonna change yours, too."  Buddy: "Come on, now.  You know we don't wear sunglasses."  Guy, taking the sunglasses off the armed robber, holds the pair out to Buddy: "We do now."  But Buddy only looks at them in fear: "No."  Guy: "Life doesn't have to be something that just happens to us!  Just put the glasses on and you're gonna see!  You're gonna see."  Buddy hesitatingly reaches for them and then stops: "I can't, okay?  I'm sorry."  He goes back to hiding on the ground, afraid of change.  (Caution: a-word)


Jodie Comer

Guy is being chased through a partially-constructed skyscraper by two men intent on killing him.  He runs down a beam at the end of which is hanging a wrecking ball.  As triumphant music plays in the background, Guy takes a flying leap.  He completely misses and plunges toward the ground.  As he drops, he frantically searches his newfound game inventory and finds a rubber bubble suit.  He chooses it and is immediately encased in an air-filled rubber cylinder.  He hits the ground and bounces harmlessly to a stop.  Guy extricates himself from the bubble suit and stands up, exhilarated.  He believes his new powers will protect him forever.  He stands in the middle of the road, arms raised to the sky, feeling invincible: "I can't die!  I'm never gonna die!"  As the last word falls from his tongue, his enemies run him over with a car: "And that was the heartbreaking story of Blue Shirt Guy."


Guy has just learned that he is merely a character in a video game.  He goes to his best friend's house, seeking comfort.  Buddy smilingly gives him a cup of coffee and sits down to listen.  Guy: "What would you do if you found out that you weren't real?"  Buddy: "What do you mean?"  Guy: "Pretend with me."  Buddy, taking it like a game: "Can I pretend I'm a ghost?"  This leads Buddy down a rabbit trail, but Guy leads him back to the moment.  Buddy: "Got it.  I'm me, who I am now, and I'm just trying to help a friend.  I say, 'Okay, so what if I'm not real'?"  Guy can't believe Buddy's answer: "So what?"  Buddy: "Yeah, so what?"  Guy: "But, if you're not real, doesn't that mean that nothing you do matters?"  Buddy: "What does that mean?  Look, brother, I am sitting here with my best friend, trying to help him get through a tough time.  And, even if I'm not real, this moment is.  Right here.  Right now.  This moment is real.  I mean, what's more real than a person trying to help someone they love?  Now, if that's not real, I don't know what is."


Missy the barista hands Guy his usual order: "Medium coffee, cream, two sugars."  For the first time in his life, Guy doesn't look at the coffee with excitement.  He hesitates, wringing his hands, as the smiling barista continues to hold the drink out to him, repeating: "Medium coffee, cream, two sugars."  Behind Missy, the cafe menu reads: "Coffee, Coffee with Milk, Coffee Without Milk, Weak Coffee, Strong Coffee, Really Hot Coffee, etc."  There is nothing to order besides coffee.  Guy, looking almost guilty: "Actually, I think I'd like to try a cappuccino today."  Missy looks like her world has turned upside down: "Excuse me?"  Guy, more firm: "I'd like to try a cappuccino.  Please."  Missy, highly disturbed: "But...you get a medium coffee, cream, two sugars.  That's what you get.  That's what everyone gets.  Every day.  Always."  She looks around the room for support.  Patrons are silent, horror struck by what they are witnessing.  Officer John looks threateningly at Guy: "Somebody's about to get shot."  Guy, stammering a little: "I just thought I'd try something different today, you know?"  Guy looks around the room.  Every hostile eye is on him.  Guy folds, pretending it was all a joke: "Ha!  I'm just keeping you on your toes."  He accepts the coffee Missy is still holding out to him.  Missy breathes a sigh of relief.  Guy takes a sip with a smile and walks out of the establishment, peace restored among his friends and acquaintances.  After he leaves, Missy continues to stare at him with a wistful look on her face.  She whispers, "cappuccino," as she herself begins to dream of something different.

Millie, about to return to her own world for good, is saying goodbye to Guy.  Guy, although he understands why she has to leave, cannot help but express how he feels.  Guy, earnestly: "I love you, Millie.  Maybe that is my programming talking, but guess what?  Someone wrote that program.  I'm just a love letter to you."  Guy, looking up at the heavens: "Somewhere out there is the Author."  Millie's face transforms as she realizes the Author loves her.


Taika Waititi

Millie is walking down the street, humming to herself, when Guy sees her passing by.  Time slows for Guy and all sounds are drowned out except the music coming from Millie.  He stares at her, obviously love-struck, and stops to watch her walk across the street.  A rocket hits a car on the street and it explodes, but Guy doesn't notice.  A police car with sirens blaring blows buy and Guy doesn't see it.  Guy's best friend, Buddy, waves his hands in front of Guy's face.  Guy doesn't respond.  Finally, Buddy snaps his fingers, startling Guy out of his reverie.  Guy, still with his eyes glued to Millie: "That's her."  Buddy: "Her who?"  Guy: "That's my dream girl, Buddy."
