ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Hilly and her bridge club are meeting at Elizabeth's house.  Hilly, obviously needing to relieve herself, adamantly refuses to use a bathroom that has been used by Elizabeth's black maid, Aibileen.  Hilly encourages Elizabeth to have a "colored" bathroom installed outside the house: "Wouldn't you rather them take their business outside?  It's just plain dangerous.  They carry different diseases than we do."  Hilly brags that she has drafted a "disease-preventative" bill that would require such bathrooms in every white home.  Aibileen listens to the conversation from around the corner, saying nothing.

Skeeter's mother is doing everything she can to get Skeeter to think about marriage.  Thinking Skeeter frumpy, she encourages her to try on a dress while telling her stories of friends recently engaged.  Skeeter receives the news with sarcasm and her mother smacks her on the behind.  Mother: "Eugenia!  Your eggs are dying.  Would it kill you to go on a date?"  Skeeter proudly tells her mother that she got a job writing for the local newspaper.  Old-fashioned, Skeeter's mother sees a career as a roadblock to marriage: "Great!  You can write my obituary.  Charlotte Phelan, dead!  Her daughter, still single."  Skeeter rolls her eyes: "Mother!  Would it really be so bad if I never met a husband?"  To Mrs. Phelan, this is the ultimate tragedy.  Seeing her daughter isn't bothered by this possibility, she asks her, in all seriousness, if she has an unnatural attraction to women.  Then, referring to an article she read, she helpfully offers a cure in the form of a root tea.  Skeeter, shocked and disgusted, storms out of the room.

Skeeter is sitting outside alone when Constantine approaches and asks her what is wrong.  Skeeter tells her old nurse that she wasn't asked to the school dance.  Skeeter is embarrassed because her mother was a beauty queen and hurt because the boys called her ugly.  Constantine, bluntly but lovingly: "I wish you'd quit feeling sorry for yourself.  Now, that's ugly.  Ugly is something that goes up inside you."  Constantine holds Skeeter's hand and looks deeply into her eyes: "Every day you're not dead in the ground, when you wake up in the morning, you're gonna have to make some decisions."  Constantine tells Skeeter that she will have to decide every single day whether or not to believe the things people say about her.  Skeeter herself has the control over her own self image and future.

Aibileen is at church, listening to her pastor preach on courage.  The pastor uses the example of Moses who, though fearful of public speaking, obeyed God's command to help free the Israelites.  Pastor: "See, courage isn't just about being brave.  Courage is daring to do what's right in spite of the weakness of our flesh.  And God tells us...commands us...compels us to love.  See, love, as exemplified by our Lord Jesus Christ, is to be prepared to put yourself in harm's way for your fellow man.  And by your fellow man, I mean your brother, your sister, your neighbor, your friend, and your enemy.  If you can love your enemy, you already have the victory (a truth especially significant to his all-black congregation in 1960s Mississippi)."

Yule Mae, a maid, works up the courage to ask her employers for a small loan.  Approaching them at the breakfast table, she proudly explains that her twin boys have been on the honor roll and are graduating.  She and her husband have saved for years to enroll them in college and are only short by $75.  If they can't come up with the money, they will have to face the impossible decision of which of their boys doesn't get to attend college that year.  She humbly asks for a loan and offers to work for free until it's paid off.  Hilly, her employer, listens condescendingly to Yule Mae and then extends what she considers to be a generous piece of advice: "As a Christian, I'm doing you a favor."  Yule Mae looks hopeful.  Hilly, fully of superiority: "See, God don't give charity to those who are well and able.  You need to come up with this money on your own.  Okay?"  Yule Mae, with tears of humiliation and disappointment in her eyes, nods: "Yes, ma'am."  Hilly, smiling and returning to her newspaper: "You'll thank me one day."

Hilly is beside herself with humiliation.  An error in the local paper has resulted in dozens of old toilets being left in her front yard.  Her friend, Elizabeth, has come over to console her and finds reporters and amused bystanders surrounding the house.  Hilly, crying and fondling her Garden Club Yard of the Month sign, complains to Elizabeth about her situation.  Elizabeth turns and sees her small daughter, Mae Mobley, proudly sitting on one of the toilets with her panties around her ankles (Mae Mobley has been potty-training).  Mae Mobley, smiling proudly: "I go potty, Mommy."  Elizabeth, horrified and humiliated, runs to Mae Mobley and yanks her off the toilet as a photographer snaps a picture.  She vents her shame with several sharp spanks on Mae Mobley's behind, leaving the poor girl confused and hurt, wondering why her action didn't earn her praise.  Aibileen, Elizabeth's maid, picks up the crying little girl and holds her.  She looks into Mae's little tear-stained face: "You is kind.  You is smart.  You is important."  Mae gives her a small smile and they embrace.

Celia, the new girl in town, arrives at Elizabeth's house with a pie, hoping to meet some ladies at the local bridge club.  Elizabeth's club, headed by Hilly, is full of snobby women who regard Celia as a backwater nobody.  When Celia arrives at the door, Hilly instructs everyone to duck under the tables.  The ladies comply, giggling, as Celia walks around the house looking in windows, knowing they're all inside.  When Celia spots Hilly, she smiles and waves, holding up her pie.  When no one responds, Celia's smile fades.  Now she can hear the quiet laughter from inside the house and knows they're laughing at her.  Celia returns, crying, to her car.

Charlotte is explaining to her daughter why she felt forced to fire her long-time friend and maid, Constantine.  Charlotte, defensively: "She didn't give me a choice.  The Daughters of America had just appointed me State Regent."  Charlotte describes the day when she proudly accepted her new social position.  The Daughters have arrived at Charlotte's home for a special luncheon, and the president of the club has flown in from Washington D. C.  Although Charlotte is embarrassed when the president is obviously critical of Constantine, she doesn't feel pressured to fire her until Constantine's daughter, Rachel, arrives for a surprise visit.  Rachel, accustomed to being treated like family, arrives at the front door and asks to see her mother.  Charlotte, assuming a condescending attitude, orders her to go to the back door and wait in the kitchen (knowing that is what her white peers would expect of their black servants).  Rachel refuses, and although Constantine humbly tries to get her daughter to comply, Charlotte is well aware of the critical eyes watching her every move.  Painfully, she orders Rachel to leave the house and to take Constantine with her.  The white ladies around the table subtly nod their approval.  Charlotte, warring with her own emotions, closes the door on her old friend, ignoring Constantine's look of deep hurt.
