ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Mia, narrating: "At the age of 26, Ludwig von Beethoven went deaf, ending his career as a successful concert pianist.  But, determined not to let a little thing like his hearing end his music career, my pal Ludwig became a composer.  Turned out, the new gig suited him.  It's like that old saying, 'Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.'"  Mia thinks about her parents, who traded the lives they thought they'd have for the life it turned out they really wanted.  Mia's rocker dad gave up his band at the birth of his child and found his calling in teaching.  Mia's mom exchanged her party lifestyle to be a parent.  And now, Mia herself has realized that the future isn't going to be as she had planned: "I thought I had it all mapped out.  Turns out, I had no idea."

Mia and her family are driving through the woods, looking forward to spending a snow day together.  Mia looks out the window at the beautiful forest, thinking: "Isn't it amazing how life is one thing and then, in an instant, it becomes something else?  Like, here I am, Mia...the girl who thinks about the cello and Adam and whether a letter is waiting for me at home.  And, just like that..."  The family car approaches a bend in the road.  A truck coming from the other direction suddenly skids on the ice.  Mia's mother doesn't even have a chance to scream before the two vehicles collide, head-on.  Later, Mia returns to consciousness only to find that she is having an out-of-body experience.  Running through the busy accident scene, Mia tries to talk to emergency personnel, who act as if she isn't there.  Mia cries for her parents, but can't find them.  A cluster of workers huddle around a body on the ground.  Mia walks up to the group, seeing that the body is her own.  Clutching her head in despair, Mia cries: "Wake up!  Wake up!"

Mia is in the hospital, watching the doctors wheel her into emergency surgery.  She listens as the doctors describe her condition as serious.  A ruptured spleen and a collapsed lung are the least of her problems.  Doctor, to the other medical personnel: "If she wants to live, she'd better start fighting."  Mia follows them, unseen, begging for their help.  Once in the OR, the doctors efficiently perform their duties while Mia walks around, looking dazed.  Mia: "Am I going to die?  Is that what this is?"  As if having heard Mia's question, a nurse bends down to speak into her ear: "Here's the secret, baby.  You control this whole thing.  If you live or if you die, it's all up to you.  So, whatever fight you got in you, you gotta pull it out now."

Mia is listening to a CD of her father's old band, thinking about her future.  She turns down the music to ask her dad if he misses his band.  She wonders why he gave up the band to raise his children.  Dad: "Baby, I didn't give anything up.  I played that adventure out, and then it was time for a new adventure with you guys.  Sometimes you make choices in life, and sometimes choices make you."

Mia is struggling with a major life decision.  Torn between moving to New York to go to Juilliard and staying to be with her boyfriend and family, Mia has come to her mother for advice.  Mom: "You're going to go to Juilliard and play the h--l out of your cello.  Or...you're not.  You're going to stay with Adam and have lots of amazing adventures.  Or...you're not.  Or maybe tomorrow the Earth's going to smash into a meteor.  Or...it's not.  Life is this big, fat, gigantic, stinking mess.  That's the beauty of it, too.  Whatever you do, I support you.  Either way, you win.  And, also, either way, there's something that you lose."  (Caution: h-word used)

Gramps is visiting Mia as she lies in a coma in the hospital.  Mia's conscious self is sitting next to the bed, listening to her grandfather speak.  He recalls the day that Mia's father, Denny, quit his band to raise his children.  Gramps admits to feeling surprise at the decision, knowing how much his son loved his music.  He remembers how Denny explained the choice: "He said, 'You make sacrifices for your kids.'"  Gramps tells Mia that her dad was so proud of her talent that he sold his own instrument to buy her a cello.  Gramps: "Sacrifice.  That's what we do for the people that we love."  Tears falling down his cheeks, Gramps tells Mia that he's going to make his own sacrifice.  While loving her dearly and wanting her to live, he understands that life will never be the same now that her entire family has been killed.  Gramps: "If you want to go, I want you to know it's okay.  I understand."  (Caution: h-word used)

Mia, her family, and her friends have gathered for a bonfire picnic at her home.  Night has fallen and they sit around the fire, playing their guitars and singing songs.  Mia joins in with her cello, thinking: "I've always thought of the cello as a solo instrument.  It's probably why it's always made me so comfortable...just me and my cello.  But, that night, sitting around the bonfire with Adam and everyone else, I realized I was wrong.  The cello isn't a solo instrument.  It's part of something bigger."  The firelight plays on the smiling faces gathered around Mia...her mother, father, brother, and friends.  They all begin to sing: ♪ "Today's the greatest day I've ever known..." ♪  The cello, the guitars, and the voices blend to create a beautiful sound.  Mia, thinking: "The thing is, Mom and Dad always had their scene.  And Adam had his.  And I was always jealous because I didn't have mine...until the night of the bonfire.  That was my scene.  That was where I belonged.  That's what happiness felt like."
