ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

In 2038, an outbreak of canine flu spreads throughout Japan, including the city of Megasaki, with the risk of becoming contagious to humans. The city's authoritarian mayor, Kenji Kobayashi, ratifies an official decree banishing all dogs to Trash Island, later nicknamed 'Isle of Dogs.'


Chief meets Nutmeg, a female ex-show dog, whom he has assumptions about due to gossip.

A narrator describes the plight of the dogs banished to Trash Island: "The exiled dog population grows weaker, sadder, angrier...desperate.  A crane drops a bag of trash onto the island.  Five white, shaggy dogs approach the bag with hungry eyes.  They look up, suddenly, as they realize that five other dogs have their eyes on the same bag.  The two packs of canines eye each other challengingly, their teeth bared.  Snarling, they inch closer to the bag until they are feet apart from each other.  Rex interjects with a moment of rationality: "Before we attack each other and tear ourselves to shreds like a pack of maniacs, lets just open the sack first and see what's actually in it.  It might not even be worth the trouble."  Debating quickly amongst themselves, the other dogs agree to the plan.  The sack is torn open.  Rex, itemizing its contents: "A rancid apple core, two worm-eaten banana peels, a moldy rice cake, a dried-up pickle, tin of sardine bones, a pile of broken egg shells, an old, smushed-up, rotten gizzard..."  And, over everything, a horde of squirming maggots.  Chief: "Okay, it's worth it."  Instantly, a fight begins.  Little is seen except for limbs and heads protruding from a cloud of dust.  The battle is settled quickly when Chief bites the ear off of one of the white dogs: "Get out of here and don't come back."

The dogs on Trash Island eke a mere existence out of the refuse around them.  Rex eats spoiled food from a rusty tin, ignoring the swarms of flies.  Nearby, rats feast on the severed ear of a dog.  Piles of trash surround the muddy pit where the dogs sit, eating garbage.  Suddenly, Rex spits out his bite, too disgusted to continue: "I don't think I can stomach any more of this garbage."  Several other dogs echo the sentiment.  Rex, longing for better days: "I used to sleep on a lamb's-wool bean-bag next to an electric space-heater.  That's my territory.  I'm an indoor dog."  King, sharing his own tale of woe: "I starred in 22 consecutive Doggy Chop commercials.  Look at me now.  I couldn't land an audition."  Boss: "I was the lead mascot for an undefeated high school baseball team.  I lost all my spirit.  I'm depressing."  Duke: "I only ask for what I've always had:  a balanced diet, regular grooming, and a general physical once a year."  Rex looks around at his friends: "I think I might give up."  Duke: "What?  Right now?"  Rex: "Right now.  There's no future on Trash Island."

Atari and Chief are walking to the rendezvous point when Atari suddenly stops, looking at a stick on the ground.  Chief, warningly, seeing the boy pick up the stick: "Don't ask me to fetch that stick."  Atari throws the stick across the parking lot and orders Chief to get it.  Chief stares at him, unmoved.  Atari repeats his order.  Chief, mildly irritated: "I'm telling you, I don't fetch."  A third time, Atari orders Chief to go get the stick.  Chief, capitulating while trying to save face: "I'm not doing this because you commanded me to.  I'm doing it because I feel sorry for you."  Chief fetches the stick and drops it obediently at Atari's feet.  Atari kneels down, stroking the dog: "Good boy."

Spots leads Chief to Atari.  The dogs sit down in front of the boy.  Spots, to Atari: "Master Atari, are you willing to accept my brother Chief as new bodyguard-dog in personal service to you?"  Atari's eyes fill with tears as he understands Spots will be leaving him.  Responding in Japanese, the boy solemnly agrees to accept Chief as his replacement dog.  Spots, tears streaming down his fur, turns to Chief: "Chief, are you willing to accept Atari as your direct master, to serve and protect his safety and welfare, with all courage, loyalty, and friendship?"  Chief, tears in his own eyes: "I can do that."
