ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

A sniper sits in an empty parking garage, looking through the long-range scope of his rifle.  People are walking along the waterfront, unaware of coming danger.  A nanny walks with her charge to a snow cone stand.  A woman walks along the river.  A man sits alone on a bench.  A woman walks toward him.  Another woman dressed in business attire walks toward an office building.  The sniper pauses, watching each of these intended victims before shooting them all dead.

Jeb and his gang have called Jack out, determined to beat the man for an imagined insult.  Jack, an experienced soldier, warns the younger man: "It's your last chance to walk away."  Jeb smiles confidently: "Are you kidding?  It's five against one."  Jack explains that once he has taken Jeb out, he'll only have to contend with one or two of the rest of the gang: "The last two guys, they always run."  Jeb, mockingly: "You've done this before?"  Jack: "Yeah."  Just before Jeb throws the first punch, Jack gives him one last warning: "Remember.  You wanted this."  Jeb smiles, striking out at Jack.  The blow misses, and Jack quickly takes Jeb down.  The others look at each other quickly before jumping in to join the fight.  Jack takes out two more, seemingly with little effort.  Now, three men lie writhing on the ground.  The last two men glance quickly at Jack before running away.

Five total strangers have been killed, seemingly at random, by a sniper.  The defense attorney for the suspected killer describes the events leading those five victims to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.  The first victim, a young nanny, had postponed a trip to China to be at her charge's birthday party.  They were downtown buying a party dress at the time of the killings.  The second victim, a single mother, was surprising her son with a baseball game and was downtown to buy the tickets.  The third victim, a business owner, was downtown to secure a loan to save her company.  The fourth victim, a middle-aged mother, was downtown buying her husband an anniversary present.  And the fifth victim, a stock broker, was sitting on the waterfront before work, a bouquet of flowers for his wife on the bench beside him.  The five people have nothing in common, except for being downtown on the waterfront at the same time.

Jack has just confronted Sandy for her part in trying to set him up for assault.  (She had tried to seduce him so others could pick a fight with him.)  At first frightened she might be in trouble, Sandy is now curious about the man she was paid to incriminate: "Who are you, mister?"  Jack, heading toward the door, tells her he just wants to be left alone.  Suddenly and pathetically, Sandy calls out: "I get off work at six!"  Looking at him pleadingly, she offers herself to this man she doesn't know.  Jack turns back toward her, saying earnestly: "Sandy, listen.  Now, you seem like a sweet girl.  You're pretty.  You're obviously sharp, doing Gary's books for him.  You don't have to let these guys use you."  Sandy, tears in her eyes: "It's just what girls like me do."  Jack looks grieved.

Jack is investigating a missing person.  Examining the man's bathroom, he is surprised when two thugs attack him from behind.  Luckily, Jack receives only a glancing blow as a man with a baseball bat hastily swings, hitting the doorway more than Jack's head.  Jack falls into the bathtub, dazed.  He crouches, covering his head, expecting further blows.  The blows never come.  The two thugs are so overeager to beat up Jack that they trip over one another in their efforts.  The men begin by attempting to squeeze through the doorway at the same time.  Pushing and shoving each other, Baseball Bat overcomes Crowbar and runs to hit Jack.  Not even taking time to aim, he swings twice at the prone man, hitting the wall and the curtain rod, but never Jack.  Meanwhile, Crowbar loses patience and tries to help out, accidentally shoving Baseball Bat into the window.  Crowbar then swings twice, not aiming either time, and hits the tub and the ceiling, but never Jack.  He doesn't get to swing a third time because Baseball Bat shoves him out of the way.  This infuriates Crowbar, and he again shoves Baseball Bat into the window.  Baseball Bat pushes back, yelling: "I got this!"  Crowbar backs up several steps to allow his friend the honors.  Baseball Bat decides to aim this time and swings back to gain momentum, striking Crowbar in the face and knocking him backward down the stairs.

Jack and Helen are in her high-rise office, discussing the unconventional way Jack lives his life.  Jack stands at the windows, looking down on the brightly-lit offices below.  He asks Helen to come and look.  Reluctantly, the busy lawyer complies.  Jack, looking down on the employees working in the next office building: "Would you tell me what you see?"  Helen: "I see the same things I see every day."  Jack, speaking of his own perspective as an overseas soldier: "Well, imagine you've never seen it.  Imagine you've spent your whole life in other parts of the world, being told every day you're defending freedom.  And finally you decide you've had enough.  Time to see what you've given up your whole life for.  Maybe get some of that freedom for yourself."  Jack looks down at a man sitting in a gray cubicle, another vacuuming the office, and other talking on the phone: "Look at the people.  Now tell me which ones are free.  Free from debt.  Anxiety.  Stress.  Fear.  Failure.  Indignity.  Betrayal.  How many wish they were born knowing what they know now?  Ask yourself, how many would do things the same way all over again?  And how many would live their lives like me?"  Helen is silent.

Jack is driving through the city, in pursuit of dangerous criminals.  The police are chasing Jack, incorrectly believing him guilty of murder.  While Jack speeds down dark alleys, trying to keep sight of the car in front of him, he eyes the police helicopters trailing him from overhead.  He follows the criminals down another street, where a police blockade temporarily traps him.  Quickly turning around, Jack resumes his chase from another direction.  A group of police cars, sirens blaring, are driving straight toward him.  Jack again turns the car, narrowly eluding the officers.  He turns down another street where no police are in sight.  Eyeing his surroundings, he sees a group of people waiting for an upcoming bus.  Thinking fast, he puts the car in low gear and climbs out.  Letting the car drift on its own down the street, he joins the group waiting for the bus.  They all stare at him, having watched him climb out of the moving car.  Suddenly, a police helicopter rounds the buildings and the bus crowd is diverted by its arrival.  They crane their necks to watch as a group of police cars puts up a roadblock directly in front of Jack's unoccupied car.  Their heads whip to the other side as another group of police cars blocks off the opposite roadway.  Jack stands in the middle of the crowd, looking straight ahead.  Possibly impressed by Jack's daring, a man in the crowd hands him his hat for a disguise.  Several others crowd in front of Jack, hiding him from passing police cars.  Jack and his new friends climb onto the newly-arrived bus just as police officers are discovering Jack's car is empty.  The bus drives away and Jack returns the hat to its owner.

Helen is sitting in the district attorney's office, showing him the evidence she has collected that implicates a well-connected corporation of scandal and corruption.  The D. A. listens to the charges, but doubts their veracity.  He suggests that the charges have been fabricated by a jealous competitor.  Helen, who has studied the evidence, disagrees.  She proposes that the corporation is guilty of murder as well as theft.  The D. A. shakes his head: "Helen, how much of this do you honestly believe?"  Helen: "It doesn't matter how much I believe.  It doesn't even matter how much I can prove.  It only matters how much is true."
