ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Beth is lying on Jo's lap on the beach, listening her read her latest story.  When Jo finishes, Beth immediately demands that she write another: "Keep writing them.  Even when I'm not here."  Jo, refusing to talk about Beth's fatal illness: "Don't say that.  Don't say it."  Beth sits up to look at her sister: "Jo, I have to tell you."  Jo: "No, you don't!"  Beth: "I've had a very long time to think about this and I'm not afraid."  Jo, refusing to look at Beth: "No."  Beth: "It's like the tide going out.  It goes out slowly, but it can't be stopped."  Jo, determinedly: "I'll stop it!"  Beth is sad that Jo won't accept what she knows is inevitable.  Jo, this time laying her head in Beth's lap: "I stopped it before."  Jo thinks back to the first time Beth's life was in danger.  She sat by her sickbed, mopping her fevered brow: "You will get better."  Beth, weakly: "We can't stop God's will."  Jo: "Well, God hasn't met my will yet.  What Jo wills shall be done."


Amy is finally sleeping after nearly drowning in the icy pond (see clip # CV10444).  Jo is sitting on the floor of the bedroom, wracked with guilt over her part in Amy's near-tragedy.  Marmee sits down next to Jo: "She'll be fine."  Jo looks at her mother: "What is wrong with me?  I've made so many resolutions, and I've written sad notes, and I've cried over my sins...but, it just doesn't seem to help.  When I get in a passion, I get so savage, I could hurt anyone and I'd enjoy it."  Jo shakes her head, frustrated at her own inability to change her sinful nature.  Marmee, a look of sad understanding on her face: "You remind me of myself."  Jo looks at her kind mother in surprise: "But...you're never angry."  Marmee: "I'm angry nearly every day of my life."  Jo: "You are?"  Marmee, smiling: "I am not patient by nature.  But, with nearly 40 years of effort, I'm learning to not let it get the better of me."  Jo, resolving: "Well, I'll do the same, then."  Marmee, knowing her own heart: "I hope you'll do a great deal better than me."


Beth has one last Christmas with her family before she dies.


In New York, Mr. Dashwood agrees to publish Jo's novel after his daughters demand to know how it ends, but he refuses to accept the protagonist remaining unmarried at the end. She successfully negotiates copyright and royalties with Mr. Dashwood. 

Jo begins to write a novel based on her and her sisters' lives and sends the first chapters to an unimpressed Mr. Dashwood. Friedrich surprises Jo by turning up at the March house on his way to California -- hoping for a reason to stay.


After Meg's wedding, Laurie passionately proposes to Jo, who refuses, explaining she does not see herself married.


Marmee enters her warm, festive, happy house while wiping a tear from her eye.  Seeing her daughters, she puts on a smiling face for their sakes and they all sit down to eat their special Christmas breakfast.  The table is laden with all sorts of delicious treats, and Jo declares she is so hungry that she could eat a horse.  All of the girls, in fact, are eager to eat the meal they have been anticipating all morning.  Before they can eat, however, Meg and Jo notice the lines of worry on their mother's face: "What is it?"  Marmee: "Not far from here lives a poor young woman.  Her five children are in one bed to keep from freezing, and there's nothing to eat."  She looks hopefully around the table: "My girls, will you give them your breakfast as a Christmas present?"  The girls looks sadly at the table before them, not wanting to give, but knowing they will.  As they trudge through the snow with their baskets of food, the wealthy neighbor across the field notices them.  When they reach the tiny, cold shack, the girls are struck by the desperate situation before them.  Their grudging gift becomes one of love as they play with the children, pass out blankets, and offer food.  They laugh all the way back home.  When they arrive, the dining room table they had left empty and barren is even more laden with delicacies than it had been in the beginning.  Plates full of expensive treats and pastries fill the table and a giant ham sits at the center.  Their original breakfast was nothing compared to this.  The girls gasp in delight upon seeing it and learning that their wealthy neighbor was responsible for it.  He saw them giving away their breakfast to bless others and wanted to bless them in return.

Laurie visits Amy to apologize for his behavior, urging her not to marry Fred but instead marry him. Though in love with Laurie, Amy refuses, upset at always being second to Jo. 


To appease her editor, Jo ends her novel with the protagonist, herself, stopping Friedrich from leaving for California -- giving her the ending to her book.


Jo, a budding author, is working on her first novel.  Wishing to edit it, she goes to where she knows she left it.  The handwritten manuscript is gone.  Rushing downstairs, she asks her three sisters if they took it.  They all deny it, but Amy looks at Jo with defiant eyes.  Jo looks angrily at her younger sister: "Amy, you've got it."  Brashly, Amy again denies it, but Jo knows she is lying.  She attacks her sister: "Tell me, or I'll make you!"  Amy, thrusting Jo away, screams: "I burnt it up!  I burnt your book!  I told you I'd make you pay, and I did!"  (Amy had been angry that Jo wouldn't take her to the theater.)  Furious, Jo throws herself on top of Amy, striking at her until their mother comes to separate them.  Later, Jo is up in her room, weeping on Beth's shoulder.  The loss of her novel is almost too great a pain to bear.  Amy and their mother enter the room.  Amy: "I'm sorry, Jo."  Jo ignores her, continuing to weep.  Amy, defensively: "It's just that the only thing you care about is your writing.  It's not as if I could've hurt you by ruining one of your dresses, and I really did want to hurt you.  I am the most sorry for it now.  I am so sorry."  Marmee kneels at Jo's feet: "Jo...don't let the sun go down on your anger.  Forgive her.  Help each other.  And you begin again tomorrow."  Jo, full of bitterness and rage: "She doesn't deserve my forgiveness!  And I will hate her!  I will hate her forever!"  Jo storms out of the room.


After the others have gone to bed, Jo sits at her writing desk in the attic.  She is determined to finish her novel for Beth.  Night after night, Jo sits and writes.  She spreads the finished pages on the attic floor to dry and pores over them, looking for sections that need editing.  When the next day comes, she begins again, working by candlelight until her fingers cramp.  As time goes on, the pages grow and grow until they fill up all the space on the floor.  Marmee brings Jo her meals on a tray as she works night and day.  She is so tired that sometimes she begins to fall asleep as she works.  Finally, the day comes when she is finished, and she falls asleep on the only bit of attic floor that isn't covered by papers.


Sisters happily dream about their futures.

Aunt March imparts some wisdom to an independence-seeking Jo that she needs to marry. When Jo points out her Aunt isn't married, she replies, "I'm not married because I'm rich."


Amy, eager to ice skate on the frozen pond with Jo and Laurie, chases after her sister, calling her name.  Jo, already out on the pond, doesn't want to include Amy and pretends she doesn't hear.  Laurie turns to Jo with a warning: "Stay near the edge.  It's not safe in the middle."  Just then, Amy calls out again: "Jo!"  Jo turns to see her little sister running toward the pond.  Knowing Amy is about to get on the ice, Jo deliberately turns her back on the girl and skates away, choosing not to warn her about the thin ice.  Jo and Laurie are skating together, enjoying themselves, when they hear a scream from the other side of the pond.  Amy has broken through the ice.  They rush quickly to where Amy is struggling to stay afloat in the freezing water.  Quickly, they grab a thick branch and use it to pull her to safety.

Jo waits nervously for Friedrich to finish reading her short stories.  He reads thoughtfully, occasionally asking a question.  During the course of the conversation, Jo admits that she chooses her subject matter based on what sells and that even her mother thinks the tales of duels and fighting are too gory.  Finally, Friedrich looks up from the pages, saying quietly: "I don't like them.  Honestly, I think that they're not good."  Jo, looking crushed, becomes defensive: "They're published in the papers and people have always said that I'm talented."  Friedrich: "Oh, I think you're talented.  Which is why I'm being so...so blunt."  Jo begins to angrily gather her papers.  Friedrich: "Are you upset?"  Jo: "Of course I'm upset!  You just told me you didn't like my work."  Friedrich, confused: "Jo, I thought you wanted honesty."  Jo, without really meaning it: "Yes, I do."  Friedrich: "Has no one ever talked to you like this before?"  Jo, bitterly: "Yes, I've been rejected plenty of times."  Friedrich, calmly and caringly: "Do you have anyone to take you seriously, Jo?  To talk about your work?"  Jo explodes, completely missing the fact that Friedrich is offering what only a true friend can...criticism meant for the good of the recipient.  Completely giving in to her anger, Jo begins to insult Friedrich, calling him a pompous blowhard.  Friedrich takes all of her abuse calmly.  Jo, right before storming out of the room: "You are not my friend!  And I don't want your opinion because I don't like you very much!"


Meg, ashamed, watches as her husband worriedly looks over their household expenses.  (Meg has just spent a large sum of money on silk for a dress they couldn't afford.)  Meg: "I know you're angry, John.  I don't mean to waste your money, but I can't resist when I see Sallie buying all she wants and pitying me because I don't.  I try to be contented, but it is hard!  And I'm tired of being poor." John, grieved that he can't provide for his wife in the way she desires: "I do my best, Meg."  Meg is immediately chagrined and apologizes, but the words have left their mark.  John gets up to go to bed: "I really am very sorry that you've had to do without so many beautiful things and that you're married to someone who can't give them to you."


Jo rushes back to the boarding house with a few minutes to spare before her next class begins.  Standing by the fire, she furiously jots down notes for her latest story.  Friedrich enters the room and greets Jo.  She barely looks up from her papers, continuing to write.  Suddenly, Friedrich scowls: "You're on fire."  Jo, still scribbling furiously: "Thank you."  Friedrich looks at the flame now climbing up her skirt, and changes his tone: "You're on fire!"  Jo, now seeing the danger, quickly pats it out, but immediately turns to go to her class: "My students need me."  Friedrich, rather amazed: "Always working."  Jo: "Money is the end and aim of my mercenary existence."  While quickly mounting the stairs, she explains to Friedrich that having to support her family all on her own keeps her busy.
