ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Mrs. Steerforth is meeting her son's best friend for the first time.  David extends a hand in greeting her, but she ignores it, instead interrupting his greeting with a barrage of pointed questions: "What's your background, Mr. Copperfield?  Who are your people?"  David, confused: "My people?"  Mrs. Steerforth, in a haughty tone: "Your family.  Are you anyone?"  David, stammering: "My parents died..."  She interrupts again, obviously dissatisfied with his answer: "Prep school?"  David: "Yes.  In London."  Mrs. Steerforth: "I probably know it.  Which one?"  David, hesitating: "Creakle's."  Mrs. Steerforth, shaking her head: "Who was the headmaster?"  David: "Mr. Murdstone."  Mrs. Steerforth: "What was the uniform?"  David, looking thoroughly flustered: "Uh...trousers, certainly..."  Mrs. Steerforth interrupts again, taking leave of her son.  As she walks away, she glances back at David, apparently revolted by him.


David, a new student at the school, is introduced to his classmates by the headmistress.  Steerforth, the obvious leader of the bunch, approaches to greet him.  Uriah Heep also greets David, but in such a self-deprecating way that the experience is awkward and uncomfortable.  As Uriah leaves, Steerforth loudly mocks him, earning the chuckles of his fellow students.  David, eager to make friends, introduces himself, stammering slightly.  Steerforth, as if testing David: "What do you make of our friend, Heep?"  David looks down for a moment, almost as if he's wrestling with his conscience, before replying: "He's perplexing."  Steerforth: "Perplexing how?"  David: "He twitches his mouth like a curious lizard."  David smiles when his classmates laugh.  Steerforth, laughing loudest: "Tell me another one."  David: "He stands so close by that he's nearer to you than your own shirt."  The students laugh again.  In the background, we can see that Uriah has been listening outside the door and is now creeping away, having heard himself mocked by the others.  Steerforth, expressing his approval of David, moves several other boys aside so David can take a seat next to him: "You are as sharp as a whip.  I like you."  David continues mocking other people at the school, to the enjoyment of his peers.  And he basks in their applause.


David, recalling back to the time of his courtship of Dora: "I treasured those times.  I was a captive and a slave.  I loved Dora Spenlow to distraction."  David sits, grinning, watching Dora perform in the parlor.  Later, the two exchange gifts and giggle together.  David expressing his deep affection: "Dora, lovers have loved before, but no lover shall ever love as we love."  Later, David is walking through town alone and so filled with his love that he can't help but see reminders of her everywhere.  A cab drives by with the destination "Dora" written on top.  He walks by a pub called the "Dora's Head."  David looks up in the sky and the clouds are shaped to read "Dora."  A crusty old cab driver passes with blonde curls tied in bows just like Dora.  And, as he retires in his apartments for the evening, he looks out the window to see the nearest building topped with golden curls.


David's stepfather Murdstone has ordered him to read his school lesson in front of everyone.  He stands in the parlor, attempting to recite what he has learned.  When he struggles to remember a detail, and his mother tries to give him a hint, his stepfather is angered: "He either knows his lesson, or he does not!"  Murdstone picks up a lesson book and tosses it at David: "Pick it up.  Read it to me."  David only has a second to look at the words on the page before Murdstone's patience runs out: "Some time today, boy!"  He sighs heavily.  David, meekly: "Sorry, sir."  He looks down at the page, but the pressure is too much for him.  The words become blurry and he can't read them.  He tries explaining how he feels: "I can't when you're watching me.  The words have skates and skim away.  I'm very stupid."  Aunt Murdstone, to her brother: "You'd as soon as teach the furniture."  David's mother tries to comfort him: "You're not stupid, just a little bit nervous."  But Murdstone cuts her off with a yell: "Silence!"

David is in Mr. Dick's room when he notices that papers filled with stories and pictures of King Charles I are everywhere.  The ceiling, floors, and walls are littered with scraps of paper and handwritten notes.  When David remarks on the papers, Dick, looking embarrassed, admits that when he is busy doing his real work, thoughts of King Charles creep in, disturbing him: "The thoughts in King Charles's head...they keep intruding.  For reasons that I don't fully understand, they decided to remove the troubling thoughts in his head and put them into mine."  As he talks, Dick nervously wipes his eyes: "Very...very disruptive."  Dick explains that he is compelled to write the intrusive thoughts down when they occur, which is frequently.  David understands Dick's need to write down his thoughts to clear his mind: "Something similar happens to me.  I find when I've been in the company of some person with strong character, their voice becomes lodged in my head.  And I, too, write down the thoughts I have."  David shows Dick his own small box of thoughts just before Janet calls them down to breakfast.  David goes downstairs alone to speak with his aunt about Dick's obvious mental illness, telling her that he has an idea that might help.  Back in Dick's room, David grabs a handful of the papers: "The troubling thoughts from King Charles's head...they weigh you down?"  Dick, looking weary: "Yes, I try and keep them in order, but they do pile up and oppress me."  David, pointing at Mr. Dick's kite: "We can release them!  We can cast them to the wind."  Later, after the two have glued Mr. Dick's thoughts to his kite, they run outside to release the thoughts into the sky.  Mr. Dick is immediately elated: "The sky is absorbing my words!"  David: "The higher and higher the words go..."  Mr. Dick: "The clearer my mind becomes."  As he flies the kite, Mr. Dick begins remembering things he hadn't thought of for years: "This is a remarkable day!"  David, smiling: "It's a delight to see you so liberated."


David is called into Creakle's office where his mean stepfather Murdstone and step aunt await him.  The two have brought news of his beloved mother.  Initially, David is just told that his mother is ill.  David, looking worried: "How ill is she?"  Creakle: "I won't deceive you.  Very ill."  David looks to his stepfather and aunt, who are saying nothing.  Creakle: "Dangerously ill."  Tungay, suddenly: "She's dead."  Three pairs of eyes look at Tungay in irritation.  David is stunned.  His uncle makes a poor attempt at comfort, stretching out a hand to pat him that doesn't quite reach all the way: "We're very sorry."  David, maintaining his composure with some effort: "And, her funeral?"  Murdstone: "On Saturday."  But when David asks to return with them for the funeral, his aunt (in a cold, smiling way), tells him the funeral has already passed: "She's buried."  Murdstone: "We didn't want a fuss."  This last fact is too much for David, who has been robbed of even getting to mourn her loss.  He picks up one of the glass bottles that he spent his childhood making and runs down to the factory floor with it.  He throws it on the ground, smashing it.  Creakle and the others watch in horror, protesting loudly, as David sends dozens of bottles to the same fate.  He rails furiously against the cruel stepfather that first took home, then freedom, then mother away from him.

David and his friends have at last found the missing Emily.  She confesses that Steerforth abandoned her long ago and she'd been too afraid to return home: "Scared I might never be forgiven."  Emily's friends warmly receive her, but Ham is furious at the way Steerforth has treated her.  (Ham had been Emily's fiancée until she ran away with Steerforth.)  When Emily tells the others that Steerforth is at that moment on a ship and headed their way, they are concerned.  A terrible storm is blowing that would put any ship in danger.  They rush to the harbor only to see Steerforth's ship already foundering.  A man tells them that there is still one person aboard the vessel and David quickly recognizes Steerforth.  Immediately, Ham ties a rope around his waist, preparing to swim out to the vessel to save his bitterest enemy.  David tries to stop him, not wanting Ham to risk his life for Steerforth: "Ham, you can't!  You know who that is."  Ham, however, is determined to save Steerforth: "If my time has come, then it's come, but I am not watching another man die, even if it's that man there."  At great risk to his own safety, Ham swims out on the terrible waves and successfully reaches the ship.  He reaches out a hand to Steerforth, begging him to take it: "Steerforth!  Come to me!"  Steerforth, ashamed of his betrayal of Ham, refuses to take it.  He is washed overboard.
