ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

A grandfather pays a visit to his grandson who is home sick in bed (playing video games).  Grandfather makes a grand entrance into the boy's bedroom...  "Hey! How's the sickie?"  Mom: "I think I'll leave you two pals alone."  Grandfather: "I brought you a special present."  The boy opens it up (disappointed): "A book?"  Grandfather: "That's right. When I was your age, television was called 'books.' And this is a special book. It was the book my grandfather used to read to me when I was sick and I used to read it to your father. And today, I'm going to read it to you."  Boy: "Does it got any sports in it?"  Grandfather: "Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles."  Boy: "Doesn't sound too bad (turning off the TV). I'll try and stay awake."  Grandfather: "Oh, well, thank you very much. Very nice of you. Your vote of confidence is overwhelming."  Grandfather puts on his glasses and settles down into his chair: "The Princess Bride, by S. Morgenstern. Chapter one. Buttercup was raised on a small farm in the country of Florin..."

A grandfather begins to read a story of true-love to his grandson...  "Buttercup was raised on a small farm in the country of Florin. Her favorite pastimes were riding her horse and tormenting the farmboy that worked there. His name was Westley. But she never called him that. Nothing gave Buttercup as much pleasure as ordering Wesley around. 'Farmboy, polish my horse's saddle. I want to see my face shining in it by morning.'  Westley: 'As you wish.'  As you wish, was all he ever said to her. Buttercup: 'Farmboy, fill these with water...please?'  'As you wish.'  That day, she was amazed to discover that when he was saying, 'As you wish,' what he meant was, 'I love you.'  And ever more amazing, was the day she realized she truly loved him back. 'Farmboy (as she hunts for a task)...fetch me that pitcher?'  Westley (coming very close): 'As you wish.' " Afterwards, as they are kissing in front of a sunset, the grandson interrupts the story, "Is this a kissing book?"  Grandfather asks him to be patient and continues to read...  "Westley had no money for marriage. So he packed his few belongings and left the farm to seek his fortune across the sea. It was a very emotional time for Buttercup: 'I fear I'll never see you again.'   Westley (hugging her): 'Of course you will.'  Buttercup: 'What if something happens to you?'  Westley: 'Hear this now. I will always come for you.'  Buttercup (in tears): 'But how can you be sure?'  Westley: 'This is true love. You think this happens everyday?' "

After kidnapping Princess Buttercup, the leader of the three captors, Vizzini, explains that they've been hired to start a war -- by killing the princess.  Fezzik: "You never said anything about killing anyone. I just don't think it's right, killing an innocent girl."  Vizzini: "Am I going mad or did the word THINK escape your lips?! You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic land mass."  Inigo: "I agree with Fezzik."  Vizzini: "Oh, the sot has spoken. What happens to her is not truly your concern. I will kill her! And remember this, never forget this, when I found you, you were so slobbering drunk you couldn't buy brandy. And you (approaching Fezzik again)!  Friendless. Brainless. Helpless. Hopeless. Do you want me to send you back to where you were?! Unemployed, in Greenland?!"  Inigo approaches Fezzik: "Vizzini, he can FUSS."  Fezzik: "Fuss, fuss...I think he like to scream at US."  Inigo: "Probably he means no HARM."  Fezzik: "He's very, very short on...CHARM."  Inigo: "Ah, you have a great gift for rhyme."  Fezzik: "Yes, yes...some of the TIME."  Vizzini: "Enough of that."  Inigo: "Fezzik, are there rocks AHEAD?"  Fezzik: "If there are...we'll all be DEAD."  Vizzini: "No more rhymes, now, I mean it!"  Fezzik: "Anybody want a PEANUT?"  Vizzini: "Dahhh!"

Vizzini (the cranky Sicilian leader), Inigo (a Spanish swordsman) and Fezzik (a strong but gentle giant), reach the mile-high Cliffs of Insanity with the kidnapped Princess Buttercup -- while being pursued by the mysterious Man in Black.  After docking their small ship, Vizzini confidently says: "We're safe! Only Fezzik is strong enough to go up our way," referring to scaling the monolithic cliffs by using the large, dangling rope.  With the other three strapped to his large body, Fezzik begins to climb the rope hand-over-hand at a fairly quick pace.  Inigo (looking down): "He's climbing the rope. And he's gaining on us."  Vizzini: "Inconceivable."  After Vizzini harasses Fezzik about not climbing faster, they reach the top where Vizzini quickly cuts the rope. Vizzini (looking down the cliff face): "He didn't fall? Inconceivable!"  Inigo: "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. (Looking at the Man in Black on the cliff face) My God, he's climbing!" (Caution: profanity used)


After reaching the top of the Cliffs of Insanity with the kidnapped princess -- the Man in Black slowly climbing the cliff face after them -- Vizzini barks out orders: "Whoever he is, he's obviously seen us with the princess and must therefore die. You (Fezzik the giant) carry her. (To Inigo) We'll head straight for the Gilda frontier. Catch up when he's dead. If he falls, fine. If not?  The sword."  Inigo: "I'm going to do him left-handed."  Vizzini: "You know what a hurry we're in!"  Inigo: "Eh, it's the only way I can be satisfied. If I use my right, over too quickly."  Vizzini: "Oh, have it your way."  Now alone, the impatient Spaniard looks over the side of the cliff and tries to hurry the mysterious pursuer along -- offering to lower a rope.  The Man in Black refuses his help, having known too many Spaniards gong back on their word.  Inigo (gravely serious): "I swear on the soul of my father, Domingo Montoya, you will reach the top alive."  Man in Black: "Throw me the rope."  After helping the Man in Black off the cliff's edge, the stranger begins to draw his sword.  Inigo (holding up his hand): "Wait, wait, wait until you're ready."  Man in Black (sitting down): "...thank you."  Inigo: "I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand? ...My father was slaughtered by a six-fingered man."  The Man in Black shows his five-fingered right hand.  Inigo (nodding): "Was a great swordmaker, my father. When the six-fingered man appear and request a special sword, my father took the job. He slaved a year before it was done," trustingly reaching the stranger his sword!  The Man in Black looks it over, and carefully hands it back: "I've never seen its equal."

After the Spaniard, Inigo, helps the mysterious Man in Black up the cliff's face, before dueling with swords to the death, he gives the stranger a moment to catch his breath.  As the man sits, Inigo asks, "I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand? ...My father was slaughtered by a six-fingered man."  The Man in Black shows his five-fingered right hand.  Inigo (nodding): "Was a great swordmaker, my father. When the six-fingered man appear and request a special sword, my father took the job. He slaved a year before it was done," trustingly reaching the stranger his sword!  The Man in Black looks it over, and carefully hands it back: "I've never seen its equal."  Inigo: "Six-fingered man returned and demanded it: but at one-tenth his promised price. My father refuse. Without a word, the six-fingered man slash him through the heart. I love my father. So naturally I challenged his murderer to a duel. I fail. Six-fingered man leave me alive. But he gave me this (showing large scars on each cheek)."  Man in Black: "How old where you?"  Inigo: "I was eleven years old. When I was a strong enough, I dedicated my life to the study of fencing. So the next time we meet, I will not fail. I will go up to the six-fingered man and say, 'Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.' "  Man in Black: "You've done nothing but study swordplay."  Inigo: "More pursue than a study lately. You see, I cannot find him. It's been 20 years now, and I'm starting to lose confidence. I just work for Vezzini to pay the bills. There's not a lot of money in revenge."

Being left behind to duel the mysterious Man in Black to the death, Inigo (a master swordsman) confronts the stranger...  "You're ready then?"  Man in Black: "Whether I am or not, you've been more than fair."  They draw their swords.  Inigo: "You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you."  Man in Black: "You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die."  Inigo: "Begin."  They start fighting slowly (each with their left hand), testing the skill of the other. After awhile, their pace intensifies...  Inigo: "You are wonderful!"  Man in Black: "Thank you. I've worked hard to become so."  Inigo: "I admit it. You are better than I am."  Man in Black: "Then why are you smiling?"  Inigo: "Because I know something you don't know."  Man in Black: "And what is that?"  Inigo: "I am not left handed."  The Spaniard begins easily besting the stranger, driving him backwards, looking for just the right opening for the kill.  Man in Black: "You are amazing!"  Inigo: "I ought to be after 20 years."  Man in Black (straining): "There's something I ought to tell you..."  Inigo: "Tell me."  Man in Black: "I'm not left handed either."  The stranger throws Inigo off, moves his sword to his right hand and regains his advantage -- eventually dislodging the Spaniard's sword from his hand.  Inigo jumps off some stairs and onto a bar, awkwardly landing on the ground below to gather his sword.  Unamused, the Man in Black throws and sticks his sword to the ground, jumps on the same bar and swings a full 360 degree circle -- with a perfect somersaulting standing dismount...  Inigo (stunned): "Who are you?"  Man in Black: "No one of consequence."  Inigo: "I must know."  Man in Black: "Get used to disappointment."  They continue fighting, until the Man in Black finally disarms Inigo again, causing the defeated Spaniard to fall to his knees: "Kill me quickly."  Man in Black: "I would soon destroy a stained glass window as an artist like yourself, however, since I can't have you following me either..." as the stranger knocks Inigo out with a swift blow to the head.

After dispatching a master swordsman, the mysterious Man in Black continues his quest to rescue the princess. Running up a small hill, a boulder explodes next to him.  Fezzik (the giant): "I did that on purpose. I don't have to miss."  Man in Black: "I believe you. So what happens now?"  Fezzik: "We face each other as God intended. Sportsmanlike. No tricks, no weapons, skill against skill alone."  Man in Black: "You mean, you'll put down your rock and I'll put down my sword, and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?"  Fezzik (brandishing a rock): "I could kill you now?"  Man in Black : "Frankly, I think the odds are slightly in your favor at hand fighting."  Fezzik: "It's not my fault being the biggest and the strongest. I don't even exercise."  The two men square off, and after a couple attempts of trying to knock the giant down without budging him, the Man in Black complains: "Look. Are you just fiddling around with me or what?"  Fezzik: "I just want you to feel you are doing well..."  The Man in Black then begins using his quickness to scamper around the giant several times, eventually jumping on his back and squeezing both arms around his neck. Fezzik complains that he's not used to fighting just one person, as he tries to squash the stranger by ramming his back against a rock wall. The Man in Black eventually causes the behemoth to pass out: "I do not envy you the headache you will have when you awake. But in the meantime, rest well, and dream of large women."

Continuing his quest to rescue the princess, the mysterious Man in Black faces the Sicilian ring leader himself...  Vizzini (holding a knife to the princess' throat): "I can't compete with you physically, and you're no match for my brains."  Man in Black: "You're that smart?"  Vizzini: "Let me put it this way. Have you ever heard of Plato? Aristotle? Socrates?"  Man in Black: "Yes."  Vizzini: "Morons."  Man in Black (smiling): "Really? In that case, I challenge you to a battle of wits (to the death)."  They sit together at a stone table, as Vizzini pours wine into two goblets and the Man in Black produces a small container filled with poisonous iocane powder. The stranger takes the goblets, turns his back, messes with the powder and returns the cups to the table...  Man in Black: "All right. Where is the poison? The battle of wits has begun. It ends when you decide and we both drink, and find out who is right... and who is dead."  Vizzini: "But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine from what I know of you: are you the sort of man who would put the poison into his own goblet or his enemy's? Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet, because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I am not a great fool, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But you must have known I was not a great fool, you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me."  Man in Black: "You've made your decision then?"  Vizzini: "Not remotely! Because iocane comes from Australia, as everyone knows, and Australia is entirely peopled with criminals, and criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you."  Man in Black: "Truly, you have a dizzying intellect."  Vizzini: "Wait till I get going! Where was I?"  Man in Black: "Australia."  Vizzini: "Yes, Australia. And you must have suspected I would have known the powder's origin, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me."  Man in Black: "You're just stalling now."  Vizzini: "You'd like to think that, wouldn't you? You've beaten my giant, which means you're exceptionally strong, so you could've put the poison in your own goblet, trusting on your strength to save you, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But, you've also bested my Spaniard, which means you must have studied, and in studying you must have learned that man is mortal, so you would have put the poison as far from yourself as possible, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me."  Man in Black: "You're trying to trick me into giving away something. It won't work."  Vizzini: "It has worked! You've given everything away! I know where the poison is!"  Man in Black: "Then make your choice."  Vizzini: I will, and I choose... What in the world can that be (gesturing towards the forest, causing the stranger to look away as he swaps goblets)?"  Man in Black: "What? Where? I don't see anything."  Vizzini: "Well, I could have sworn I saw something. No matter (laughing)."  Man in Black: "What's so funny?"  Vizzini: "I'll tell you in a minute. First, let's drink. Me from my glass, and you from yours."  They both drink...  Man in Black: "You guessed wrong."  Vizzini: "You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!..."  But Vizzini suddenly drops dead.  Princess: "And to think, all that time it was your cup that was poisoned."  Man in Black: "They were both poisoned. I spent the last few years building up an immunity to iocane powder."

Running from Prince Humperdinck's pursuit, the Dread Pirate Roberts allows Princess Buttercup to catch her breath (the princess has not yet discovered who Roberts really is)...  Princess: "I know who you are. Your cruelty reveals everything. You're the Dread Pirate Roberts. Admit it."  Roberts (bowing): "With pride. What can I do for you?"  Princess: "You can die slowly, cut into a thousand pieces."  Roberts: "Hardly complimentary, Your Highness. Why loose your venom on me?"  Princess: "You killed my love."  Roberts: "It's possible. I kill a lot of people. Who was this love of yours? Another prince like this one: ugly, rich and scabby?"  Princess: "No. A farm boy. Poor. Poor and perfect. With eyes like the sea after a storm. On the high seas your ship attacked. And the Dread Pirate Roberts never takes prisoners."  Roberts: "I can't afford to make exceptions. I mean, once word leaks out that a pirate has gone soft, people begin to disobey you, and then it's nothing but work, work, work all the time."  Princess: "You mock my pain!"  Roberts: "Life IS pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something. ...I remember this farm boy of yours, I think. This would be what, five years ago? Does it bother you to hear?"  Roberts: "Nothing you can say would upset me."  Roberts: "He died well. That should please you. No bribe attempts or blubbering. He simply said, 'Please. Please, I need to live.'  It was the 'please' that caught my memory. I asked him what was so important for him here. 'True love,' he replied. And then he spoke of a girl of surpassing beauty and faithfulness. I can only assume he meant you. You should bless me for destroying him before he found out what you really are."  Princess: "And what am I?"  Roberts: "Faithfulness, he talked of, madam. Your enduring faithfulness. Now tell me truly, when you found out he was gone, did you get engaged to your prince that same hour or did you wait a whole week out of respect for the dead?"  Princess: "You mocked me once, never do it again! I died that day -- and you can die too, for all I care," as she shoves him off the side of a hillside.  Falling, Roberts cries out, "As...you...wish!"  a term of endearment when they fell in love.  Princess: "Oh, my sweet Westley. What have I done?" as she tumbles down the hill as well!

Escaping Prince Humperdinck's pursuit, Westley and Princess Buttercup race into the Fire Swamp -- where no one has ever survived.  After being scorched by fire, the Princess steps into quicksand and completely disappears.  Westley quickly cuts a vine and dives in after her.  After a lengthy time, when most would have suffocated, Westley miraculously pulls them both out!  After gasping, catching her breath and hugging her rescuer, the Princess laments...    "We'll never succeed. We may as well die here."  Westley: "No, no. We have already succeeded. I mean, what are the three terrors of the Fire Swamp?  One, the flame spurt -- no problem -- there's a popping sound preceding each, we can avoid that. Two, the lightening sand, which you were clever enough to discover what that looks like, so in the future, we can avoid that too."  Princess: "Westley, what about the R.O.U.S.'s?"  Westley: "Rodents Of Unusual Size? I don't think they exist."  But Westley is immediately attacked by one.  After a vicious battle, including nasty bites to his arm and shoulder, he kills the beast with multiple sword stabs.  They finally make it out of the swamp...  Princess: "We did it."  Westley: "Now, was that so terrible?"

Bruised and bloodied, Westley and Princess Buttercup finally emerge from the Fire Swamp -- only to be surrounded by their purser, Prince Humperdinck and his men...  Humperdinck: "Surrender."  Westley: "You mean you wish to surrender to me? Very well, I accept."  Humperdinck: "I give you full marks for bravery. Don't make yourself a fool."  Westley: "Ah, but how will you capture us?  We know the secrets of the Fire Swamp. We can live there quite happily for some time, so whenever you feel like dying, feel free to visit."  More men appear with crossbows.  Humperdinck: "I tell you once again, surrender."  Westley: "It will not happen."  Humperdinck: "For the last time, surrender!"  Westley: "Death first!"  Princess: "Will you promise not to hurt him?"  Humperdinck: "What was that?"  Westley: "What was that?"  Princess: "If we surrender, and I return with you, will you promise not to hurt this man?"   Humperdinck: "May I live a thousand years and never hunt again."  Princess: "He is a sailor on the pirate ship, Revenge. Promise to return him to his ship."  Humperdinck: "I swear it will be done."  As soldiers move in, the Prince whispers to his right-hand-man, Count Rugen, "Once we're out of sight, take him back to Florin and throw him in the Pit of Despair."  Count Rugen: "I swear it will be done."  Princess (to Westley): "I thought you were dead once and it all most destroyed me. I could not bear it if you died again. Not when I can save you."  Humperdinck whisks the princess away.  Rugen: "Come, sir. We must get you to your ship."  Westley: "We are men of action. Lies do not become us."  Rugen (smiling): "Well spoken, sir," as he motions Westley to be shackled.

On the day of their wedding, Princess Buttercup pays a visit to Prince Humperdinck in his study.  He tells her that the next morning, every ship in his armada will accompany them on their honeymoon.  Oops.  Princess: "Every ship but your four fastest, you mean (referring to his earlier promise that his four fastest ships were sent to find her true love, Westley, informing him of the marriage, hoping he would come for her)."  Humperdinck (trying to back-track): "Yes. Yes, of course. Naturally not those four."  Princess: "You never sent the ships. Don't bother lying. Doesn't matter. Westley will come for me, anyway."  Humperdinck: "You're a silly girl."  Princess: "Yes, I am a silly girl for not having seen sooner that you were nothing but a coward with a heart full of fear."  Humperdinck (very sternly): "I would not say such things if I were you."  Princess: "Why not? You can't hurt me. Westley and I are joined by the bonds of love, and you cannot track that: not with a thousand bloodhounds; and you cannot break it: not with a thousand swords. And when I say you are a coward, that is only because you are the slimiest weakling ever to crawl the earth!"  Humperdinck: "I would not say such things if I were you!"  He drags her off, locks her in her room, and races to speak to Westley who is in the Pit of Despair being tortured...  Humperdinck: "You truly love each other, and so you might have been truly happy. Not one couple in a century has that chance, no matter what the story books say. And so I think no man in a century will suffer as greatly as you will!"  He pushes the torture machine lever to it's maximum setting of 50, causing Westley to writher and scream in agony!

Inigo and Fezzik carry the "dead" Westley (Man in Black) to Miracle Max, hoping for a miracle.  Inigo needs the fighting prowess of Westley to help them storm the castle and avenge the death of Inigo's father. They enter Max's home and lay Westley on a table.  Max says he's seen worse, and when rushed, responds with: "Don't rush me... You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles. You got money?"  Inigo: "Sixty-five."  Max: "Sheesh! I never worked for so little. Except once, and that was a very noble cause."  Inigo: "This is noble sir. His wife is... crippled. The children are on the brink of starvation."  Max: "Are you a rotten liar!"  Inigo (fervently): "I need him to help avenge my father, murdered these twenty years."  Max: "Your first story was better. Where's that bellows cram? He probably owes you money, huh? Well, I'll ask him."  Inigo: "But he's dead."  Max: "Hoo hoo hoo! Look who knows so much, heh? Well, it just so happens that your friend here is only mostly dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Please, open his mouth."  Max uses the bellows to fill Westley's lungs with air, and then loudly asks him: "Hey! Hello in there! Hey! What's so important? What you got here that's worth living for?"  When Max pushes on Westley's stomach, air rushes out sounding like, "t-r-u-e l-o-v-e."  Inigo: "True Love, you heard him? You could not ask for a more noble cause than that!" Max denies that's what Westley said, causing the wizard's wife to enter: "Liar! Liar! Lia----r!"  Max: "Get back, witch!"  Wife: "I'm not a witch, I'm your wife, but after what you just said, I'm not even sure I want to be that anymore. ...True Love, he said 'True Love,' Max. My God."  After a bit more arguing, and Inigo revealing that Westley would help stop the marriage of Prince Humperdinck (who fired Max), Max concedes...  "Wait, wait. I make him better, Humperdinck suffers?"  Inigo: "Humiliations galore."  Max: "Ha ha ha! Hi dah lig dah lah nay juh! That is a noble cause. Gimme the sixty-five. I'm on the job!"

Forced to marry the evil Prince Humperdinck, Princess Buttercup joins him in front of an impressive, religious looking clergyman, adorned in priestly robs, coverings and stately head-piece.  His graying hair, beard, well-aged face and solemn appearance give off the most honored and authoritative presence.  The organ finally stops as the audience waits in absolute silence for his holinesses' first articulate words and rich tone...  "Maa-wage. Maa-wage is what bwings us together, today.  Maa-wage, that bwessed ah-wangment, that dweam wifin a dweam..." is what comes out instead -- in a rather irritating voice.

Inigo Montoya has been in the revenge business for the past 20 years, chasing the evil six-fingered man who murdered his father when he was a small boy.  After having stormed the castle with a few friends, Inigo has finally found the miscreant, Count Rugen, and chases him into a room. Unfortunately, Rugen is waiting with a knife, which he throws into Inigo's abdomen. Instead of giving up, Inigo pulls out the knife and shakily stands to his feet...   Rugen: "Good heavens, are you still trying to win? You've got an overdeveloped sense of vengeance. It's going to get you into trouble some day."  Rugen tries finishing Inigo off with a sword to the heart, which Inigo blocks into his left shoulder. Another thrust blocked into Inigo's right shoulder. Inigo: "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Inigo now advances on Rugen, stumbles with pain, but rises again to ward off Rugen's attack.  Inigo: "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."  Rugen attacks again, but Inigo parries more aggressively, gaining strength...  Inigo: "Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya! You killed my father! Prepare to die!"  Rugen: "Stop saying that!"  Rugen attacks again, but is countered and wounded in both shoulders.  After Inigo bellows his chant yet again, he corners Rugen, knocks his sword aside, and cuts the side of his face.  Inigo: "Offer me money." Rugen: "Yes!" Inigo: "Power, too, promise me that." He slashes his other cheek, matching the scars Rugen gave him as a boy. Rugen: "All that I have and more. Please..." Inigo: "Offer me everything I ask for." Rugen: "Anything you want..." Rugen tries lunging at Inigo one last time, but is blocked and has a blade stuck to his stomach. Inigo: "I want my father back, you son of a b----!" as he runs the murderer through.  (Caution: the scene could be stopped just before the profanity is used at the end)

After friends have helped him storm the castle, Westley lies weak on Princess Buttercup's bed (after having been recently brought back to life).  The Princess apologizes for recently being forced to marry the evil Prince Humperdinck, but Westley points out that she couldn't be married since she never said, 'I do.'  Westley then acknowledges the presence of Humperdinck who's been standing by the door: "Wouldn't you agree, Your Highness?"  Prince Humperdinck:  "A technicality that will shortly be remedied. But first things first...(pulling his sword) to the death." Westley: "No! To the Pain." Humperdinck: "I don't think I'm quite familiar with that phrase." Westley: "I'll explain. And I'll use small words so that you'll be sure to understand, you warthog faced buffoon." Humperdinck: "That may be the first time in my life a man has dared insult me." Westley: "It won't be the last. 'To the Pain' means the first thing you will lose will be your feet below the ankles. Then your hands at the wrists. Next your nose..." Humperdinck: "And then my tongue, I suppose, I killed you too quickly the last time. A mistake I don't mean to duplicate tonight." Westley: "I wasn't finished! The next thing you will lose will be your left eye followed by your right."  Humperdinck: "And then my ears, I understand, let's get on with it."  Westley: "Wrong! Your ears you keep and I'll tell you why. So that every shriek of every child at seeing your hideousness will be yours to cherish. Every babe that weeps at your approach, every woman who cries out, 'Dear God! What is that thing?,' will echo in your perfect ears. That is what 'To the Pain' means. It means I leave you in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery forever."  Humperdinck: "I think your bluffing." Westley: "It's possible, pig, I might be bluffing. It's conceivable, you miserable, vomitous mass. I'm only lying here because I lack the strength to stand. But, then again... perhaps I have the strength after all."  Westley slowly rises and points a sword directly at the prince... Westley: "Drop...your...sword!"  Humperdinck is stunned and after dropping his sword, is tied up by the Princess in a chair.  Westley's friend, Inigo, then runs in and orders the Princess to help Westley stand.  Princess: "Why does Westley need helping?"  Inigo: "Because he has no strength."  Humperdinck: "I knew it! I knew you were bluffing!"
