ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Jessica has allowed the Reverend Mother to come and test her son.  Jessica leaves Paul alone in the room with the woman wreathed in black.  She commands Paul to kneel before her and the Voice compels him instantly to obey (see clip # CV11048 about the Voice).  She orders Paul to put his right hand in a box and he complies.  As soon as he does, the Reverend Mother's hand shoots out and holds something to his neck: "I hold at your neck the Gom Jabbar.  A poison needle.  Instant death.  The test is simple.  Remove your hand from the box and you die."  Paul: "What's in the box?"  Mother: "Pain." Outside, Jessica guards the door, keeping everyone away.  But she suffers, wondering if her son will pass the test.  Paul: "Why are you doing this?"  Mother: "An animal caught in a trap will gnaw off its own leg to escape.  What will you do?"  The box starts to make a sound and Paul begins to feel the pain.  He shudders, crying out.  Mother: "Silence!"  Tears form in his eyes as he struggles to hold his hand in the box, the poison needle still at his neck.  Outside, Jessica hears his cries and hurts for her son.  She wills herself to remain calm: "I must not fear.  Fear is the mind-killer.  Fear is the little death that brings obliteration.  And I'll face my fear and permit it to pass over me and through me.  And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye and see its path.  And where the fear has gone, there will be nothing.  Only I will remain."  Inside the room, Paul suffers, sweat beading on his forehead.  But something happens within him as he withstands the pain.  He begins to see a vision of the future.  He sees flames, death, and a bloody hand holding a dagger.  The Reverend Mother, seeing that he has passed the test, withdraws her hand.  Paul removes his from the box.  Reverend Mother: "Like sifting sand through a screen, we sift people.  If you had been unable to control your impulses, like an animal, we could not let you live.  You inherit too much power."


Stilgar, a leader among the desert people of Arrakis, has come to see Duke Leto.  The duke, who has recently arrived from another planet, has been given the rule of Arrakis by the emperor.  When the guards admit him to the Duke's chambers, Stilgar unceremoniously struts up to the duke, ignoring the guards' orders to stop.  He eyes the duke and his court, sizing them up.  The duke welcomes him: "Stilgar.  Welcome.  Sir, I respect the personal dignity of any man that respects mine."  Stilgar looks at him for a long moment, apparently thinking.  He then bends and spits on the floor in front of the duke.  Gurney, offended, immediately reaches for his sword to strike the man down.  But Duncan, who knows the ways of the people of Arrakis, stops him.  He addresses Stilgar directly: "Thank you, Stilgar, for the gift of your body's moisture."  (Moisture is essential and valuable to the desert people of Arrakis.)  He looks pointedly at the duke: "We accept it in the spirit in which it was given."  Duncan then bows and spits.  Finally, the duke spits.

Paul, Jessica, Duncan, and Dr. Kynes are hiding from the emperor's invading army.  When the sounds of the army are heard outside the door, Duncan opens it.  In the anteroom, he sees his men being killed by the invaders.  Standing in the doorway, Duncan salutes Paul, holding his sword to his heart and then his head.  He closes the door, locking himself inside with the enemy, ready and willing to give his life for Paul.  Duncan fights bravely, giving Paul and the others the time they need to escape.  Singlehandedly, he kills a dozen men until, finally, one strikes him down.  He lies on the ground, seemingly dead, until the soldiers begin to break into the room where Paul hides.  Before the soldiers can enter the room, mortally wounded Duncan stands again to fight some more.  With a loud yell, he begins to cut down the enemy, allowing Paul and the others to escape.  He fights bravely until his final breath.  (Caution: violence)


After House Atreides arrives at Arrakeen, they are fitted with stillsuits (a full body suit worn in the open desert of the planet Arrakis that was designed to preserve the body's moisture) by a Fremen advisor. Even though it is the first time for everyone, the advisor is impressed that Paul instinctively knew the particulars of wearing one.

Even though Paul is not in the mood to train, Gurney forces the issue in a deadly battle.

After Lady Jessica arrives on Arrakis with her family, she is confronted by a Freman servant. Sensing the woman is carrying a weapon, Jessica warns: "If you mean to harm me, I must warn you, that whatever you are hiding it won't be enough." Fremen woman: "The weapon is meant as a gift, if you are truly The One.' Do you know this?"  Jessica: "It's a Crysknife...(a knife whose blade was made from the tooth of a dead sandworm of Arrakis - the weapon of choice for the Fremen, the natives of Arrakis)."


With a reputation for ambition, malevolence, hatred and brutality, the Harkonnen homeworld is the heavily industrialized planet Giedi Prime, ruled.


Jessica has just watched the Reverend Mother return to her planet.  She turns and sees Paul standing behind her.  Paul, having heard her conversation with the Reverend Mother: "What does it mean?  That I could be The One?"  Jessica tells Paul that she and her order have been working to bring about a messiah: "We've been carefully crossing bloodlines to bring forth a mind powerful enough to bridge space and time.  Past and future.  Who can help us into a better future.  We think he's very close now.  Some believe he's here."  Paul, wryly: "All part of a plan."


A well-organized society, their homeworld is the lush, prosperous paradise Caladan, ruled by Duke Leto Atreides and his son Paul Atreides.


The history and importance of the Spice and its origins deep beneath the desert sands of Arrakis.

Lady Jessica pours her son a glass of water.  He thanks her, but she refuses to give it to him.  Lady Jessica: "If you want it, make me give it to you.  Use the Voice."  Paul is tired, but Jessica insists.  Looking at the glass of water, Paul quietly whispers: "Give me the water."  Jessica: "The glass can't hear you.  Command me."  Paul looks at Jessica, concentrating.  The room is silent and still as they gaze at one another.  Paul's lips move, but for a moment no sound is heard.  Then, a distorted voice sounds inside Jessica's mind: "Give me the water."  Her hand reaches on its own for the glass and sets it forward a few inches.  Then, Jessica seems to come out of the trance and smiles at Paul, moving the glass the rest of the way to her son: "Almost."


After House Atreides arrives at Arrakeen, an attempt to assassinate Paul with a hunter-seeker fails - due to the young man's self-control, intuition and quick thinking.


Duke Leto and his court are standing on a large dais adorned with immense banners.  The army is assembled behind them in lines ruler-straight.  In front of them, at the end of a large carpet, is a spaceship.  An official emissary from the court of the Emperor walks down the carpet toward the duke.  A tall man in white robes, he bows before the duke.  Behind him are his faceless companions, their visages hidden behind helmets, masks, and veils.  The emissary, who is carrying a large scroll, begins to speak: "By the grace of Shaddam IV of House Corrino, ascendant to the Golden Lion Throne of Padishah Emperor of the Known Universe, I stand before you as Herald of the Change.  We are witnessed by members of the Imperial Court, representatives of the Spacing Guild, and a sister of the Bene Gesserit.  The Emperor has spoken!"  He opens the scroll and reads: "House Atreides shall immediately take control of Arrakis and serve as its steward.  Do you accept?"  The duke steps forward: "We are House Atreides.  There is no call we do not answer.  There is no faith we betray.  The emperor asks us to bring peace to Arrakis.  House Atreides accepts!"  The army shouts, as one: "Atreides!  Atreides!  Atreides!"  The duke moves to a table where the scroll is laid out.  Golden wax is melted over the contract and the duke pushes his ring into it, sealing his promise.


Paul and Jessica are travelling at night across the desert sands.  They hear the sound of a sandworm close by and begin to move away from it.  Suddenly, a cloud of sand erupts nearby and the two realize the danger they are in.  They begin to run towards the nearest rock formation.  As they sprint, the cloud of sand follows them, getting closer and closer.  Paul trips and falls, and then trips again.  The cloud is just behind them.  Jessica makes it to the rock formation and turns around to see how her son fares.  The worm is visible now, its gaping mouth completely out of the sand and directly behind Paul.  Just before Paul can get to the rocks, the worm reaches him.  It ascends from the sand, its enormous body rising like a mountain before the young man.  Paul, paralyzed with fear, stands before it, looking into its gaping maw.  The worm appears to be listening for any sounds of its prey.  Suddenly, a rhythmic thumping sound is heard from nearby.  The sound draws away the worm, leaving Paul and Jessica to scramble up the rocks to safety.


Duke Leto, the newly appointed ruler of Arrakis, tells his son: "I want you sitting in on my council.  Learn what I do."  Paul: "What if I'm not, Dad?"  Leto: "Not what?"  Paul: "The future of the House Atreides."  Leto shows Paul the signet ring he received from his own father: "I told my father I didn't want this either.  I wanted to be a pilot."  Paul is surprised.  Leto, remembering: "Your grandfather said, 'A great man doesn't seek to lead.  He's called to it.  And he answers.'  And, if your answer is no, you'll still be the only thing I ever needed you to be...my son."


Humans who consider the planet Arrakis their home, with tribal leader Stilgar, warrior Chani and the Judge of the Change, Dr. Liet Kynes.


Leto is asleep in bed.  A noise wakens him and he sees a strange light reflecting on his wall.  He looks outside and sees what looks like a signal.  He gets up to investigate and finds his wife's maid lying on the ground.  Activating his body shield, Leto bends toward her, turning her body over so he can see her face.  She has a knife sticking out of her chest.  She tries to speak, to warn him, but she dies before she can form the words.  Suddenly, a poisonous dart hits Leto in the back.  He turns to see who fired the dart, but he sees nothing.  His body shield is activated, but the dart continues to burrow until it breaks through the shield.  When the dart pricks his skin, Leto is immediately knocked unconscious.  Only then does his hidden enemy appear.  (Caution: scene may disturb some viewers)


Oscar Isaac

House Atreides arrives at Arrakeen, the principal stronghold on Arrakis. Dr. Kynes, a planetologist who lives among the Fremen, briefs them on the dangers of spice harvesting, and the giant sandworms that travel under the desert. During a flight to see spice-harvesting for themselves, they rescue a stranded spice-harvesting crew from a sandworm, and Paul's exposure to the spice triggers intense premonitions.
