ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Joseph's father, Joe, is lying in their shack, dying.  Joe: "My soul is departing from me, Joseph."  Joseph: "Don't you talk that way."  Joe: "I'll talk any way I please.  I'm dying, I tell you!"  After singing a few lines from a song, Joseph's father dies.  Joseph and his brothers begin discussing future plans.  Suddenly, Joe's arm reaches out and grabs Joseph.  Joseph jumps, exclaiming: "We thought you'd died, Da!"  Joe: "I did, son.  I passed away."  Joseph: "But you're talking to us, Da, and your eyes are looking about."  Joe: "I was as dead as a stone, I tell you.  Now, shut your mouth before I die again."

Joseph's father, Joe, has come back to life to give him a final message.  (Joe died minutes previously, see Scene # CV03815.)  Joseph leans in to hear his father's words.  Joe: "You're an especially odd boy."  Joseph doesn't see the significance of the message, but his father explains that he, too, was a dreamer.  Joe: "But dreams, my boy, in this poor corner of the world, end up in a glass of ale."   Joseph is determined to fulfill his dreams: "I'll work my own land someday."  Joe: "Without land, a man is nothing.  Land is a man's very own soul.  A miracle...that's what you're looking for.  And, by God, if you manage it, your old Da will be smiling down on you from heaven above."  Joe again dies.

Danty is encouraging Joseph to seek revenge against the man who burned down his house.  He gives Joseph a gun and a name for his secret mission: 'Captain Moonlight.'  Danty, explaining the name: "It's the code, the rebel code.  Now you've heard it, keep it to yourself.  Don't breathe it to a living soul, ya understand now?"  Joseph vows to remain silent.  Later, Joseph rides his donkey through town on his way to fulfill his mission.  One by one, the townspeople greet him excitedly: "Captain Moonlight!"  "Off to kill your landlord, eh?"  Joseph looks around, amazed to find that everyone in town knows of his secret mission.  He encounters Danty, who smiles sheepishly: "Ah, Joseph, it was too good to be kept a secret, son."  (Caution: 'b-----d' used once as profanity)

Joseph has come to Mr. Christie's mansion with the purpose of killing him.  Mr. Christie is a wealthy landowner whose bailiff burned down Joseph's house on the day of his father's funeral, and Joseph wants revenge.  Joseph walks out of the stable, encountering Mr. Christie, along with his wife and daughter.  Joseph, dragging a rifle: "Mr. Daniel Christie!  I am Joseph Donnelly...of the family Donnelly...that you pushed off our land!"  Mr. Christie has no idea what he is talking about (his bailiff takes care of all business matters).  Joseph, cocking his gun: "Prepare to pay for your crimes."  Mr. Christie's wife and daughter scream, and he begins waving his arms to ward off the attack.  Joseph fires the antique weapon, but it misfires and blows up in his face.  Joseph is knocked backward, injured.  Mr. Christie runs over to see if the man is all right.  Joseph, his face blackened, whispers the name of his secret vengeful plot before passing out: "Captain Moonlight."

Shannon has just arrived in America and her sole wealth is in the form of silver spoons.  A man she met on the passage from Ireland, Mr. McGuire, has promised to help her convert the spoons to money.  The two are standing on a busy street in Boston when McGuire is suddenly hailed by two men.  They shoot him dead and Shannon's spoons pour out of his pockets onto the street.  (McGuire had secretly stolen Shannon's spoons.)  Shannon screams as people rush to the body to take the spoons and Shannon's other possessions.  Shannon: "My bag!  They're taking everything!"  Joseph retrieves Shannon's bag, but she has lost all of her 'money.'  Shannon, crying: "Now I have nothing!  I have no money!  God is punishing me.  He's punishing me, Joseph!  I stole those spoons from my mother the morning I ran away."

Joseph is excited to be chasing his dreams in America.  He truly believes it to be a land of opportunity.  He plans on getting some of the land the government is giving away in Oklahoma Territory.  Joseph: "Maybe this is my destiny.  On his deathbed, my father told me he'd be watching me from up above."  Joseph sits up and looks around: "I wonder now if his spirit might be near, guiding me along."  Joseph dreams aloud of owning his own land and farm.

Joseph and Shannon are working in a chicken factory.  Their boss, a tyrant, yells at Shannon when she stops to wipe the sweat from her forehead.  Elsewhere in the factory, several men tell Joseph that his sister (Shannon) is the prettiest woman they know.  Joseph warns them that her beauty comes with a biting tongue.  Back at the assembly line, Shannon is grabbed by the boss, who tells her to get back to work.  Shannon loses her temper: "Get your filthy hands off me, you ugly animal!"  The boss looks around at the other employees, gathered to watch the display.  Boss: "That'll cost you a day's wage.  Go ahead.  Insult me again."  He spits tobacco at her.  Shannon bites her lip before giving in to her rage: "Pig."  The boss's eyes widen and the other employees laugh.  Boss: "There goes tomorrow.  Done?"  Shannon thinks for a moment, seeing Joseph desperately signing for her to control her mouth.  Shannon, smugly: "Take Friday as well, you spineless little fraction of a man!"  Joseph turns back to the men attracted by Shannon: "Bite, lads.  Bite!"

Joseph finishes hanging his last bit of clean laundry and turns to see Shannon, daintily but ineffectively dipping clothes into her washbasin.  Joseph smiles at her method of washing.  Shannon notices his amusement, questioning it.  Joseph: "I was just trying to figure out what you're doing there."  Shannon: "It's obvious what I'm doing.  I'm cleaning my clothes."  Joseph: "Do you ever wonder why it takes you so long, Shannon?  I mean, my clothes, if you notice, are washed and hung.  Done."  Shannon: "Your talent astounds me, Joseph."  Joseph tells Shannon to move over, intending to teach her a better method.  Joseph, taking the washboard: "If you want to clean your clothes, you have to get your hands wet.  First, you place the board like so.  You take the soap in your right hand, the clothes in the left."  Joseph gives verbal instructions while physically demonstrating each step.  Joseph: "Plunge and scrub.  You keep on plunging and scrubbing until all your plunging and scrubbing is done."  He quickly wrings out the shirt, pinning it to the wash line like an expert.

Joseph and Shannon have been evicted from their home and have been wandering the cold winter streets for days.  They encounter a man and a boy unloading wood in front of their large home.  Joseph hurries to help, telling the man that they haven't eaten for three days and that he'll work for food.  The man angrily tells Joseph to leave, he doesn't hire Irish.  Joseph, repeating himself, begs: "For the love of God, we haven't eaten for three days!"  Man: "I said I don't hire Irish!  Now get outta here!"  Joseph, despairing, stares out at the falling snow.

Joseph is walking the snowy streets of Boston's wealthy, carrying the seriously wounded Shannon.  He calls out for help at the top of his voice.  A man is seen at the window of his mansion, looking down at the couple.  Joseph looks up at him, begging: "Help!  This girl needs help!  Will ya let us in?"  The man turns his back on the pleas for help.  Joseph continues walking until he reaches Shannon's parents' house.  The maid answers the door, but tries to slam it in Joseph's face when she sees the poorly dressed couple.  Joseph sticks his foot in the door, demanding to be let in.

Daniel and his wife Nora are hiding on a plot of land which they hope to claim for themselves.  (The government is holding a race to claim plots of free land in Oklahoma.)  Daniel and Nora have snuck onto the land before the race, intent on pretending to have run the race and earned the land.  Daniel, excitedly: "We're breaking the law, Nora."  Daniel explains their plan to fool the other racers, which includes running the horse in circles to make it appear winded, and jumping out with their stake at the right moment to claim the land.  Nora waves her hand over the surrounding land: "We don't really need all of this."  (The couple is already very wealthy.)  Daniel, however, is excited for adventure: "Pretend we're starting out in life, instead of ending up."

People from all over the country (and world) have come to Oklahoma hoping for free land.  (The government is holding a race to win plots of land.)  An army officer stares at his pocket watch, waiting to call the start of the race.  He raises his hand, preparing to give the signal.  Hundreds watch eagerly from horses, wagons, carts, and even bicycles, waiting for their chance to win land.  One man jumps the gun and starts riding for land early.  He is quickly shot dead by the soldiers.  Finally, the signal is given...a cannon shot is fired...and the horses, of one accord, snap to attention.  Spurs are driven into flanks as the competitors set out to claim their land.  Along the way, many fall victim to accidents in the crowded race.  Horses trip and fall, carts lose wheels, men are trampled, and wagons collapse.  But those who remain continue fighting for their prize.
