ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Harriet

Harriet frees her family while the Brodesses gather a posse. (Caution: n-word and other profanity used)


William inducts Harriet into the Underground Railroad.


Harriet, having heard she is to be sold, is running away.  She races through the forest, her master close on her tail with his bloodhounds in pursuit.  Harriet can hear the sound of the dogs and the men on horseback and she knows they are close.  Finally, she reaches a bridge spanning the river.  She runs, men behind her, until she reaches the center of the bridge and sees the men waiting for her on the other side.  She stops, staring at the rushing river.  Gideon, her master, tries to convince her to return, promising all sorts of things Minty knows will never happen.  She climbs up on the railing of the bridge.  Gideon: "You can come on back.  I won't hurt you bad."  Minty gives him one last, defiant look: "I'm gonna be free or die!"  She jumps.  Gideon catches one last glimpse of her before she disappears under the water.  (Caution: gd-word used)


Harriet has just finished telling Marie how her husband found a new wife while she was gone.  Marie: "Harriet, you are so far beyond any man I have ever met.  What's a man to a woman touched by God?"  Harriet: "You making fun of me, Marie?"  Marie: "No, not whatsoever.  But I do have questions.  You say that God's voice guides you.  What's that like?"  Harriet: "Sometime it sting, like a smack in the face.  Other time it soft, like a dream.  Fly off, soon as you woke.  Seem like I learned to see and hear God like some learn to read a book.  I've all my attention on it.  Like, without question.  Before I can wonder if I ever heard it at all, before I can understand what it mean.  I thought God wanted me to go get my husband.  John was just a way to steer me to where I was needed."

The Fugitive Slave Act has just been passed, and it has made the abolitionists' job much harder.  They are holding a meeting to decide what to do now that slave catchers can retrieve runaway slaves from any state in the union.  Many think that the trip is just too hard and nothing will work except war.  Harriet, impassioned: "We can't just give up and wait for war!  We need to get back to work bringing slaves to freedom!"  William: "Harriet, the journey from Maryland to Canada is 600 miles to the Canadian border.  Your longest trip was 100.  Now, that would take months, not weeks.  You can't..."  Harriet puts up a hand: "I ain't giving up rescuing slaves because it's far!"  Harriet looks around at the room full of well-dressed, well-fed people.  Harriet: "Many of you don't know slavery firsthand.  You were born free.  You been free so long you forget what it's like.  You've gotten comfortable and important.  You got beautiful homes.  Beautiful wives.  But I remember.  Children beat for not working before they understand what work is.  Girls raped before their first blood.  Brothers whipped till they back in ribbons.  Sisters sold from their babies.  Try not to think of what they went through, those still in slavery going through right now.  I've heard their groans and they sighs, seen they tears.  And I would give every last drop of blood in my veins to free them.  So I ain't givin' up.  I do what I gotta do, go wherever I gotta go, however I gotta do it, to free as many slaves as possible.  Till this beast, this monster called slavery, is slain dead.

Harriet leads Union troops on a raid of Southern plantations.


Harriet walks in the field, brokenhearted to learn that her beloved husband, whom she came to rescue, has married another woman.  Harriet cries out to the Lord, tears streaming: "Why, Lord?  I listened for Your voice.  You told me to come, I came.  You led me here.  Why bring me all this way and rub mud in my face?  Why You let me live?"  Harriet falls to the ground and has a vision.  She sees slaves working in a field and herself leading them to freedom.  Harriet awakens to find her father next to her.  Ben: "You being here now, that's a miracle."  Ben tells Harriet that her brothers are about to be sold down South.  They need help making their way to freedom.  Ben takes Harriet to their hiding place, where she meets several other slaves also wanting to make the journey.  Harriet, looking flustered: "I only planned for one more, not all of you and a baby, too."  Harriet hands one of her brothers the men's suit she had brought.  He looks at it, realizing that she had come to rescue her husband.  Harriet: "I thought I come for him.  I see now I come for all of you."


Harriet is leading the group of runaways through the forest at night.  Unbeknownst to her, a group of slave owners have gathered on the bridge and are lying in wait to catch Harriet.  She suddenly drops to her knees.  Man: "What's wrong with her?"  Junyah: "She praying.  Minty peculiar that way."  The others are restless, knowing that danger is all around them, and want to get moving.  But Junyah won't let them disturb Harriet's prayers: "Don't touch her!  She talkin' to God."  Suddenly, Harriet stands: "We can't go this way.  There's danger."  Junyah: "God say which way we can go?"  Harriet: "Left."  The group switches direction and starts moving away from where the slave owners are waiting.


Harriet frees slaves from under slaveholders' noses. 


Harriet gets the drop on Gideon. "My people are free!"

Harriet has come to Reverend Green to ask him to pray for her journey.  The reverend quickly ushers her inside the church before anyone can see the runaway slave.  "You intend to run?"  Harriet: "They gonna sell me South, away from my husband and family."  Reverend Green sits Harriet down to explain the harsh realities of life as a runaway slave: "You money to them.  Unless word spread you run off, then you damaged goods.  They'll beat you, hobble you, or worse.  Now, you go alone, you got about a hare's chance in a fox grove.  Slavers don't get you, then the copperheads or the timber wolves will.  Can you even read, child?"  Harriet shakes her head.  Reverend Green, thinking it would be too difficult for Harriet to escape on her own, tries to convince her to sneak back onto the plantation.  Harriet shakes her head firmly: "I ain't going back.  I want to be free."  Seeing she is determined, Green tells Harriet she must be miles away before dawn.  He takes her hand: "Fear is your enemy.  Trust in God."


A kind Quaker helps Minty down from his carriage after having given her a ride: "Here we are, Friend.  The Pennsylvania border.  Shall I drive thee across or would thee prefer to walk alone into freedom?"  Minty smiles: "I walk with the Lord."  The Quaker gives her directions to Philadelphia and a place where she can find assistance.  "Until we meet again, God bless thee."  Minty, tears in her eyes, walks toward the golden sunset.  She jumps over an imaginary line, landing in a state where there is no slavery.  She looks at her hands, hands that now belong to her alone, to work for herself and not for other men.  She runs through the field, arms lifted, basking in glorious freedom.
