ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. - Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Jor-El and Lara are preparing to send their only son, Kal-El, into unknown outer space, in the hopes that he reaches the distant planet Earth.  Even knowing that this is the only hope for her son's survival, Lara still struggles with letting go of the tiny infant.  Worries of all sorts plague her, and she fears for her son's fate in a future without her there to guide him.  She looks down at the baby in her arms: "I can't do it.  I thought I could, but...now that he's here..."  Jor-El reminds his wife that this is their son's only chance.  He makes a move to begin the launch, but Lara stops him, whispering: "No, wait.  Just...let me look at him."  She cradles her son, mourning: "We'll never get to see him walk.  Never hear him say our names."  Jor-El takes the baby from his wife: "Out there, amongst the stars, he will live."

Superman is working onboard a fishing vessel when the captain receives a distress call from a nearby oil rig.  A fire on the rig has trapped many of the crew inside the burning structure, and the Coast Guard is seeking help in rescuing any who have managed to escape.  The Guard warns the captain that the rig is about to explode and orders the fishermen to leave any still trapped inside the rig to their fate.  Superman immediately flies to the rig.  He breaks down the door where the victims are trapped, crushing the steel in his hands.  The surprised workers watch in amazement as he walks into the room, flames covering, but not burning, his skin.  A Coast Guard helicopter makes a final pass just in time to rescue the men that Superman leads out onto the deck.  While the men are loaded onto the helicopter and the pilot prepares to takeoff, Superman throws himself under the top half of the rig, holding the burning structure up just long enough for the pilot to escape with the crew.  He screams with the effort as the steel girders underneath his scorched, bare feet begin to bend and sway.  Finally, the rig collapses, crushing Superman.  He floats, unconscious, in the water as the flames burn on around him.

Jonathan is trying to explain to Clark why people are afraid of his special powers.  Clark, who wants only to be a normal boy, feels his gifts to be a burden beyond bearing: "Did God do this to me?  Tell me!"  In an effort to answer, Jonathan decides to show Clark where he came from.  He takes his son to an old barn to show him the vessel that brought him to Earth.  Jonathan: "You're the answer, son.  You're the answer to, 'Are we alone in the universe?'"  Clark, angrily: "I don't wanna be!"  Acknowledging the enormity of Clark's burden, Jonathan encourages his son to bear it with purpose: "You're not just anyone, Clark, and I have to believe that you were...that you were sent here for a reason.  All these changes that you're going through...one day you're going to think of them as a blessing.  And, when that day comes, you're gonna have to make a choice.  A choice of whether to stand proud in front of the human race, or not."  Clark, crying: "Can't I just keep pretending I'm your son?"  Jonathan hugs the boy to his chest: "You are my son.  But, somewhere out there, you have another father too, who gave you another name.  And he sent you here for a reason, Clark.  And even if it takes you the rest of your life, you owe it to yourself to find out what that reason is."

Jor-El is telling Clark about the rise and fall of his home planet, Krypton.  He brings his son to a room where huge seaweed-like structures bear pods filled with babies.  Jor-El: "This is the Genesis Chamber.  All Kryptonians were conceived in chambers such as this.  Every child was designed to fill a pre-determined role in our society...as a worker, a warrior, a leader, and so on.  Your mother and I believed Krypton lost something precious:  the element of choice, of chance.  What if a child dreamed of becoming something other than what society intended for him or her?  What if a child aspired to something greater?  You were the embodiment of that belief, Kal-El.  Krypton's first natural birth in centuries.  That's why we risked so much to save you."

Superman's father, Jor-El, tells his son that Kal-El has grown stronger in Earth's atmosphere than he could ever have imagined.  Jor-El: "The only way to know how strong is to keep testing your limits."  Superman looks up at the sky, gathering his strength and courage.  Pushing off the ground, he begins taking giant, earth-shattering leaps, finally launching himself toward space.  Passing through the clouds, he falters, shouting in pain.  He falls to the earth, crashing through the top of a mountain.  Picking himself up gingerly, he remembers his father's words: "You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards.  They will race behind you.  They will stumble.  They will fall.  But, in time, they will join you in the sun.  In time, you will help them accomplish wonders."  Superman looks toward the sun, closing his eyes for a moment.  He kneels, pushing his fist against the ground, again gathering his strength.  This time, he soars -  - speeding over grasslands, oceans, and canyons - - until, finally, breaking through the atmosphere into space itself.

Worldwide news coverage is broadcasting the unfolding story of the alien spacecraft that has just penetrated Earth's atmosphere.  As the craft slowly descends over Kansas, the broadcast is interrupted by a message from the aliens.  Television sets everywhere flash the same four words, in every language on the planet: "You are not alone.  You are not alone.  You are not alone."  People of every nation stand in front of their screens, listening in wonder, receiving the answer to the age-old question of whether intelligent life exists anywhere outside Earth.

Clark is seated inside his father's truck when a group of bullies from school drag him out and throw him to the ground.  The leader tries to entice Clark to fight...insulting him, taunting him, and screaming abuse.  Clark grips the metal fence beside him tightly, but refuses to be baited.  When the bullies notice Clark's father watching the scene, they walk away.  One remains behind, helping Clark to his feet.  Clark stands, letting go of the fence, which now bears the imprint of his hand.  Clark's father looks down at his son: "Did they hurt you?"  Clark, bitterly: "You know they can't."  Jonathan: "That's not what I meant.  I meant, are you all right?"  Clark, near tears: "I wanted to hit that kid!  I wanted to hit him so bad."  Jonathan: "I know you did.  Part of me even wanted you to.  But, then what?  Make you feel any better?"  Clark is silent while his father continues: "You just have to decide what kind of man you want to be, Clark.  Because, whoever that man is, good character or bad, he's...he's gonna change the world."

Superman is wrestling with whether or not to surrender himself to General Zod in order to spare Earth from attack.  He sits in a church, hoping to get advice from the priest.  After telling the man his story, he asks him the question that burns in his heart.  Should he surrender himself to Zod, trusting the alien general to keep his promise and spare Earth?  Or, should he surrender himself to mankind, choosing to trust them with his fate?  Priest: "What does your gut tell you?"  Superman: "That Zod can't be trusted.  The problem is, I'm not sure the people of Earth can be, either."  Superman stands, preparing to walk out the door.  Priest, calling after him: "Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith first.  The trust part comes later."

To prevent her from killing several helpless humans, Superman has attacked Faora-Ul, sending the two of them crashing through the walls of a local IHOP.  The Kryptonite soldier stands, looking piercingly at Superman: "You are weak, son of El.  Unsure of yourself."  Superman charges and Faora-Ul knocks him to the ground.  Faora-Ul, coldly: "The fact that you possess a sense of morality, and we do not, gives us an evolutionary advantage.  And, if history has proven anything...it is that evolution always wins."  Superman's face hardens and he leaps at the soldier, propelling her through the side of a truck.

Superman and his mother walk toward the grave of his father, Jonathan.  Martha: "He always believed you were meant for greater things.  And, that when the day came, your shoulders would be able to bear the weight."  Superman: "Yeah.  I just wish he could have been here to see it finally happen."  Martha, smiling confidently: "He saw it, Clark.  Believe me."  An image from the past rises from Martha's memory.  A young Clark is running around the yard, wearing a red cape and playing with the dog.  Jonathan is working on his truck.  He looks up, his gaze caught by the vision of his son.  He stops working and stands up straight, his full attention on his son.  All of his dreams and hopes are bound in the boy whose red cape, caught by the breeze, billows out behind him.  Hands on hips, the boy stands with his back to the sunset, and Jonathan sees a glimpse of the future.
