ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Information about the licenses and subscriptions that you purchase from us including your method of payment.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Walter is abandoned by his dead-beat mother to live with his two uncles for the summer -- with Mom's hope that Walter will find their rumored secret fortune.  After the uncles give Walter a cold reception ("The last thing we need is some little sissy boy hanging around all summer"), all three sit on the porch the next morning...     Walter (bored): "If my mom calls, can we hear the telephone out here?"     Garth: "Don't have one."      Walter (shocked): "No telephone?!"      Garth shakes head, no.      Walter: "Is it okay if I go inside and watch television?"     Garth: "Ain't got one."     Walter (shocked again): "No television?!  What do you DO?"     As if on cue, a car drives up and a salesman steps out: "Hey!  Rumor has it you two have millions stashed away.  Why not put some of that money to work for you...?"      The two uncles just look at each other, grab their shot-guns, and begin firing over the salesman's head.   Oh, THAT'S what you do all day!  As music kicks in, a long line of salesmen continue to show up -- and are all sent running with their tails between their legs.  Later at dusk, Garth comments: "Nice evening.  Peaceful."

It's Walter's first night with his two eccentric uncles.  They give him a lantern and point up a dark staircase...      Garth: "Hey, kid.  You sleep up there.  In the tower."     Walter frightfully looks back up the stairs.     Garth: "Hey -- we don't know nothin' about kids.  So if you need somethin'..."     Hub: "Find it yourself.  Or better yet, learn to do without."     Garth: "We're both gettin' old."     Hub: "Fixin' to die any time.  So if we kick off in the middle of the night, you're on your own."   Walter fearfully looks at his uncles and starts climbing the stairs.     Hub: "Jumpy little fella."     Garth: "Quiet, though."

Sitting out by the lake at night, Garth tells nephew Walter the exploits of the two elder uncles (shown in flashback)...      "Hub was always too restless for Texas.  He convinced our folks that he needed to go to Europe, and I needed to come along.  That was the summer of 1914.  Unfortunately, just as we arrived in France, so did the Kaiser and the entire German Army.  I wanted to go home, but Hub said we should tour Europe one step ahead of the Germans.  And we did.  What a time that was.  (Whispering)  There were these girls in Toulon -- twins.  And they...," but remembering how young Walter is, Garth coughs and catches himself, "...anyway, we eventually wound up in Marseilles with passage booked on the last ship out of Europe.  And Hub, he decided that we should spend our last night enjoying the local nightlife.  He made friends with these soldiers, and they bought us some drinks -- strong, strange drinks.  We woke up on a ship bound for North Africa -- shanghaied."       Walter (in wonder): "Shanghaied?"       Garth: "Yeah.  We found ourselves in the French Foreign Legion.  'It's all my fault,' Hub said, but he told me not to worry.  He'd make sure nothin' happened to me.  We fought many battles against overwhelming odds.  He saved my life countless times (shown being rescued on horseback in middle of explosive battle).  When the war was over, we both went our separate ways.  I ended up leading safaris mostly for writers and Hollywood folk.  But that was too tame for Hub.  He got commissions from the new North African governments, to put an end to the slave trade.  (As Hub is shown fighting)  No one, slave trader or Bedouin, had ever seen anything like this mad American who fought like 20 men."

Walter and his two uncles are working in the garden when the elderly men take time out to chew some tobacco.  Hub offers the boy some, and after some hesitancy, Walter starts chewing a big wad.  In only a few seconds, the youngster is convulsing and spitting up the black stuff -- as Garth glares at his brother.

Walter and his two uncles work feverishly in their vegetable garden -- proud of their 20 rows of knee-high success...       Garth: "Think how good all these vegetables are gonna taste.  Peas, beans, squash, tomatoes..."     Hub: "Yeah."       Walter (acting confused): "What's this row?"      Garth (looking at the posted seed packet on a stick): "Beets."     Walter looks at another row of plants which look exactly the same.         "And what about this row?"     Garth (checking the sign): "Potatoes."       Hub: "Potatoes?" while also looking around suspiciously, "Wait one d--n minute here.  What's this row here?"      Walter: "Tomatoes."      Hub: "Tomatoes?" as he goes down each row reading, "That's lettuce, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, bok choy..."       Walter: "Hey, that row looks right."      Hub: "Yeah, well, this is corn!" which is what the entire garden looks like.       Garth: "All those seeds did look alike, come to think of it."      Hub: "Yeah, like corn."         Garth: "Boy, that seed salesman sure saw us coming."      Hub: "No.  He saw YOU coming... Corn, corn, corn!  Nothin' but corn."      (Caution: "D--n" used as profanity)

One day a strange truck arrives carrying exotic animals -- delivering a lion (in a large crate) that Walter's uncles have ordered.  The uncles approach the large crate carrying hunting rifles, dressed in safari attire...        Walter: "You bought a lion?  A used lion?"       Garth: "Stand back, kid, you don't want to get mauled and eaten," then looking at Hub, "Brother, this is the best idea you ever had."      Hub: "This lion head will sure look good hanging over our fireplace."      Walter: "What fireplace?  You don't have a fireplace."      Hub: "We'll buy one."      Walter: "You're going to shoot it?  ...I don't think this is very sporting."      Hub: "Kid, at our age, this is as sporting as we get."      Garth: "Walter, come here.  When I give the word, pull this (the door pin on the crate)."       Walter approaches the crate uneasily and places his hand on the pin.        Garth: "Pull!"       Walter pulls the pin and the door falls open, with both men tensely aiming their guns at the opening.  But the lion inside just lazily looks at them.       Hub (whistling): "Hey.  Come on out of there. ...Get your lion butt out of there."      Walter: "Looks awful tame."         The lion pants and belches loudly.      Garth: "This lion's no good.  It's defective."      Hub: "It's alive and that's the main thing."       Garth: "Well, go ahead and shoot it then."      Hub: "No, it wouldn't be sporting, shooting it inside a crate."      Walter: "Looks kind of old... worn-out looking."      Garth: "Some kind of lion hunt this is.  Perfect.  A reject.  Some sick zoo castoff."       Walter (smiling broadly): "So... can I keep him?  I'll look after him and take care of him and feed him and everything!  I never had a pet of my very own before."      Hub: "So kid, you want to take care of it, nurse it back to health?" as Walter nods quickly, "Good.  Then we shoot it," as the uncles walk away.      Garth: "Some lion you bought."       ...Walter (to lion): "I'll be right back with supper!"

Uncle Garth continues telling the story of Uncle Hub's heroic past to nephew Walter (shown in flashbacks -- see Scene # CV03427 for part one)...      "No one, slave trader or Bedouin, had ever seen anything like this mad American who fought like 20 men.  Well, it so happened, one of the women that Hub freed was handmaiden to a princess.  When she told her mistress the story of there rescue, most of all, she told her about the handsome, heroic American.  'I must meet this man!' the princess said.  One day, Hub was riding his horse along the Mediterranean, when out of nowhere, another rider came up alongside (dressed in black, face hidden).  But you know Hub -- he wasn't about to let a chance pass.  It became a race.  Most people say that Hub was the best rider in North Africa.  But this other rider kept neck and neck as the race went on and on.  Then the two horses collided -- the riders went flying into the sea.  Hub leapt to his feet (knife drawn) ready for anything... or so he thought.  This was the princess, the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.  Jasmine.  Many people say there's no such thing nowadays, it's something you only find in stories, but when these two set eyes on each other for the first time, this was honest to God, no kidding, sure enough, once in a lifetime, love at first sight.  ...Well, things weren't easy for them back then.  She was promised to another man, a powerful sheik in a neighboring kingdom.  He heard that Jasmine was in love with another, so he threatened her father and took Jasmine off to his kingdom and locked her up in his harem.  She told the other wives that she would rather die than marry this heartless sheik.  She had a knife on her.  And when he (the sheik) came for her that night, she was going to slit her own throat."       Walter: "What did Uncle Hub do?"         Uncle Hub fights his way through a dozen guards and reaches the princess just in time, before she can bring the knife down.      "They got married, and lived happily ever after.  The end."

Walter and his two uncles stop at a roadside cafe on the way home.  While munching and crunching, a teenage group of hoodlums walk in...         One walks over to Hub: "Hey old man, how's that barbecue?" reaching toward his plate, "Give me some."      Hub knocks his hand away: "We're busy, boy.  Get lost, all right?"       Hoodlum (surprised): "What did you say?"        Hub: "Here's a perfect example of what I've been talking about.  Since this boy was suckling on his mamma's t--, he's been given everything but discipline.  And now his idea of courage and manhood is to get together with a bunch of punk friends and ride around irritating folks too good natured to put a stop to it."      Hoodlum (pointing finger in Hub's face): "Hey, who do you think you are, huh?"       Garth pulls Hub over for a moment: "He's just a dumb kid, Hub.  Don't kill him."      Hub: "Right," as he turns around and grabs the bully by the throat, "I'm Hub McCann.  I fought in two World Wars and countless smaller ones on three continents.  I led thousands of men into battle with everything from horses and swords to artillery and tanks!  I've seen the headwaters of the Nile, and tribes of natives no white man had ever seen before.  I've won and lost a dozen fortunes, killed many men!  And loved only one woman with a passion a flea like you could never begin to understand.  That's who I am," throwing the punk to the floor, "Now, go home, boy!"          (Caution: "Hell" used mildly twice as profanity.  "T--" used in reference to nursing)

After Walter and his two elderly uncles stop at a roadside cafe and are confronted by a bunch of hoodlums (see previous Scene), the teens pull switchblades on Hub.  But Uncle Garth gets their attention at the door by cocking his shotgun...      "Now boys, you're fixin' to let those teenage hormones get you into a world of trouble."      The hoodlums drop their knives.      Hub: "D--n it, Garth.  Did I ask you to butt in?"      Garth: "You just come out of the hospital."      Hub: "Well, there's only four of 'em."      Garth: "Well, look, you fight this one first.  And then I'll let you fight the other three after, okay?"       Hub (happy now, turning to Walter): "Yeah.  Watch this, kid!"        Garth (to teen): "Now you.  You better pick that knife up, 'cause, son," chuckling, "you're gonna need all the help you can get."      With his friends egging him on, the youth picks up the knife and comes at a smiling Hub.  Hub easily disarms the teen, hurting his arm.      Hub picks up the knife: "You hold it wrong, son.  Not like this (showing him).  You always do it like this -- smooth," throwing him back the knife, "Try it again."        He does... and is immediately disarmed again -- almost breaking the lad's arm.      Garth: "You three had better get in there and help him!"        They try, but all four start getting thrashed by the elderly man.      Walter (to Garth): "Why aren't you helping him?"      Garth: "Hub always hogs the bad guys.  He's selfish that way."      Walter: "But there's four of 'em!" as one flies by, "Three of 'em!"      Garth: "After 40 years I'm used to it.  Besides, right now, I figure he needs them worse than I do."       (Caution: "D--n" used as profanity)

After finding out what happened to Hub's wife Jasmine (his true love, whom he feel in love with at first sight -- but who tragically died with their baby during childbirth), Walter asks his uncle about his exploits in Africa (see previous Scenes)...      "They're true aren't they?"      Hub: "It doesn't matter."      Walter: "It does too.  Around my mom all I hear is lies.  I don't know what to believe in."      Hub: "Well, if you want to believe in something, then believe in it.  Just because something isn't true, doesn't mean you can't believe in it.  All right.  There's a long speech I give to young men.  Sounds like you need to hear a piece of it.  Just a piece.  Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things that a man needs to believe in the most.  That people are basically good; That honor, courage and virtue mean everything; That power and money, money and power mean nothing; That good always triumphs over evil; And I want you to remember this, that love... (getting choked up) That true love never dies.  You remember that, boy.  Doesn't matter if it's true or not.  You see, a man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in.  (Winking) Got that?"       Walter (wide-eyed and smiling): "That was a good speech."      Hub: "Think so?  Thanks."                Walter (seeing his uncles as the father he's never had): "When are you gonna give me the rest of the speech?"      Hub: "When you're almost a man."      Walter: "You promise?"       Hub (who has a death wish): "Wait one minute here. Wait..."      Walter: "I can't be a good man until you give me the rest of the speech, right?  So you need to stick around until I'm old enough to hear the whole thing..."      Hub: "I see what you're trying to pull, here..."      Walter: "No, you have to stick around until I'm old enough..."      Hub: "I'll write it down..."     Walter: "No!  I want you to give me the speech!"      Hub: "You won't be living here then."      Walter: "You're my uncle.  I need you to stick around and be my uncle.  ...We all need you.  I need you."      Hub: "No, you're just being silly."       Walter: "No, it's true!  (Crying)  And I know you miss Jasmine an awful, awful lot.  But if you go, we'll miss you just as much.  It's true."          After pausing and looking at each other, Hub concedes: "All right, d--n it, you win.  I'll stick around and be your d--n uncle.  Don't expect me to be happy about it.  All right?" extending his hand, "Deal?"       But Walter passes on the handshake and embraces his uncle tightly.       Hub (hugging and patting the boy's head): "You're a good boy.  You're a good boy..."      (Caution: "D--n" used twice as profanity)
