ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Emmet wakes to the sound of his alarm and jumps out of bed, ready to start his morning routine.  Skipping to his bookshelf, he reaches for a volume labeled, 'Instructions.'  Emmet: "Ah, here it is...'Instructions To Fit In, Have Everybody Like You, And Always Be Happy!'"  (A picture on the cover shows a man hanging from the mouth of a shark with a smile on his face.)  Emmet goes down the list, one-by-one, reading and following each instruction.  Emmet: "Step one.  Breathe."  Emmet takes a deep breath.  Emmet: "Step two.  Greet the day."  Emmet walks out onto his balcony, where thousands of other citizens join him in crying: "Good morning, city!"  Emmet continues through the list, obeying everything the book tells him will give him a rich and full life.  He brushes his teeth, gets dressed, does exercises, and eats breakfast all at the command of the instruction book.

Emmet is watching early morning television when President Business comes onscreen for a press conference.  The president reminds every citizen to follow their instructions.  Then, whispering into the microphone, he adds, as a side-note: "Or you'll be put to sleep."  Immediately, as if to cover-up his last words, the president switches from his ominous tone: "And, don't forget, Taco Tuesday's coming next week!"  Streamers fall from the sky and a mariachi band joins the president onstage.  President, dancing to the music: "You have a great day, everybody!"  Emmet, smiling: "You have a great day, too, President Business.  Man, he's such a cool guy!  I always wanna hear more of what he - -wait!  Did he say, 'put to sleep?'"  Just then, the television blares a commercial for the popular sitcom, "Where Are My Pants?"  Emmet's attention is transfixed by the silly scene of a half-dressed husband asking his wife: "Honey, where are my pants?"  Emmet falls off the couch laughing.  He sits up, confused, half-remembering that there had been something important on his mind: "What was I just thinking?"  Smiling to himself, he shrugs, pushing all rational thought away: "Ah, I don't care."  He returns to the television.

Bad Cop has arrested Emmet, accusing him of conspiring against the government.  Emmet is trying to convince the angry officer of his innocence: "I'm just a regular, normal, ordinary guy, and I'm late to meet my best friends in the whole world.  And they're probably missing me right now.  And they're probably out looking around, 'Hey, where's Emmet?'"  Emmet tells the officer that his friends will vouch for his character.  Bad Cop, turning on the television: "Oh, we asked them all right."  Emmet looks at the screen, seeing a video of his friends and co-workers being asked their opinions of Emmet.  Emmet's bright, hopeful smile fades as he hears for the first time what his friends really think of him.  One after another, the people testify to the same thing: they think little to nothing at all of Emmet.  Some have trouble recalling who he is.  Others see him as a non-entity, a bore with no thoughts of his own.  Man: "He's not...that...special."  Another man: "I mean, all he does is say yes to everything everybody else is doing."  Emmet's eyebrows raise in sad surprise as a friend describes him as a blank slate.  Man: "We all have something that makes us something, and Emmet is...nothing."  Emmet, crushed, turns to Bad Cop: "There you go.  I told you I was nobody."

Emmet and Wyldstyle have entered a strange world that looks a lot like the Old West.  Emmet, confused, asks the girl to explain where they are and what has happened.  Wyldstyle starts explaining how Lord Business wants to take over the universe and turn all of its realms into boring copies of his own making.  Emmet, periodically nodding, appears to be interested in what Wyldstyle is saying.  In reality, he is deaf to her words, transfixed by her beauty.  Wyldstyle, to Emmet's mind: "Blah, blah, blah.  Proper name.  Place name.  Backstory stuff."  Emmet sees the girl surrounded by a hazy aura.  Her voice is soft and her beauty glows.  Emmet, still hearing nothing of her words, nods, smiling.  Soon, he begins to imagine what she says to him: "I'm so pretty.  I like you."  Wyldstyle, unaware of Emmet's lack of attention, finishes her story.  Emmet smiles: "Great!  I think I got it.  But, just in case, tell me the whole thing again.  I wasn't listening."  Wyldstyle growls in frustration.

Wyldstyle, Emmet, and Vitruvius have entered Emmet's brain to try to find the reason why he was chosen to be the Special.  Standing on the empty plain of Emmet's subconscious, the three look around at the immense, blank space.  Emmet, brightly: "Wow, it's big.  I must be smart."  Vitruvius and Wyldstyle, however, see the vast emptiness for what it truly is...the blank slate of Emmet's child-like mind.  Wyldstyle: "I don't think he's ever had an original thought in his life."  Emmet tries to prove his mental prowess by telling them of his invention, the double-decker couch.  Unimpressed, Vitruvius searches for an explanation for the prophecy's choice: "There must be something around here that proves his potential.  If the Man Upstairs chose him to be the Special, there must be a reason."  Emmet: "Who's the Man Upstairs?"  Wyldstyle: "See?  He doesn't even know about the Man Upstairs."  Just then, Emmet realizes that he does know the Man Upstairs and has seen Him in a vision.  Vitruvius, suddenly realizing the reason Emmet was chosen: "MasterBuilders spend years training themselves to clear their minds enough to have even a fleeting glimpse of the Man Upstairs, and yet, your mind is already so prodigiously empty that there is nothing in it to clear away in the first place.  With proper training, you could become a great MasterBuilder."  Emmet: "I could?"  Vitruvius: "The prophecy chose you, Emmet."  Emmet: "But I can't do any of the stuff that the prophecy says I'm supposed to do."  Vitruvius: "All you have to do is to believe.  Then, you will see everything."

Emmet and his friends enter Cloud Cuckooland, where creatures of all sorts dance frantically to disco music in a field of rainbows, bright flashing lights, and spinning pinwheels.  Emmet, mildly disturbed by his chaotic surroundings: "I'm just gonna come right out...I have no idea what is going on or what this place is, at all."  A perky pink cat jumps up to them and introduces herself as Princess Unikitty.  Emmet, looking around at the confusion of activity: "There's no signs or anything.  How does anybody know what not to do?"  Unikitty, brightly: "Here in Cloud Cuckooland, there are no rules.  There's no government, no babysitters, no bedtimes, no frowny faces, no bushy moustaches, and no negativity of any kind!"  Wyldstyle, recognizing the irrationality of Unikitty's un-laws: "You just said the word, 'no,' like a thousand times."  Unikitty, unperturbed: "And there's also no consistency."

The MasterBuilders have just been told that Emmet has been chosen by prophecy to be their leader.  They ask him how he plans to defeat Lord Business.  Emmet, feeling that he needs to be up-front about his qualifications for leadership: "I'm not exactly a MasterBuilder...yet."  The crowd of MasterBuilders begins to shout angrily.  Emmet faces them bravely: "Yes, it's true.  I may not be a MasterBuilder.  I may not have a lot of experience fighting or leading or coming up with plans.  Or having ideas in general.  In fact, I'm not all that smart.  And I'm not what you'd call a creative type.  Plus, generally unskilled.  Also, scared and cowardly.  I know what you're thinking...'He is the least qualified person in the world to lead us.'  And, you are right."  The builders interrupt Emmet angrily.  He tries to tell them that his speech wasn't finished, but they feel they've heard enough.  Many get up to leave, including Abraham Lincoln: "A house divided against itself...would be better than this."  Emmet, ducking from the objects being thrown at him: "Come on guys.  We can still do this.  Right?"  Man, shouting: "You're a huge disappointment!"  Shoulders sagging, Emmet steps down from the platform.

Bad Cop has come to give Lord Business the news that the submarine carrying Emmet and his friends has been destroyed.  Lord Business isn't satisfied, wanting to be sure that Emmet is dead.  Bad Cop tells Lord Business that the only thing remaining intact from the submarine is a double-decker couch floating in the middle of the ocean.  Lord Business: "Wait, hold on.  A double-decker couch?  Really?  So, it's like a bunk-bed couch?  Is that what it's like?  That's weird.  If you're sitting in the top-middle, how are you going to get down without climbing over someone?  If you're sitting on the bottom and you're watching TV, are you gonna have to watch through a bunch of dangling legs?  Who's gonna want to sit on the bottom?  It is literally the most useless idea I have ever heard!"  Meanwhile, out in the middle of the ocean, the double-decker couch floats.  Suddenly, heads begin to pop out from underneath the cushions.  Emmet and his team have emerged unscathed, thanks to the under-seat storage compartments in the double-decker couch.  Wyldstyle, who had originally scorned Emmet's idea: "Huh.  The double-decker couch.  It wasn't totally pointless after all."

The MasterBuilders ask their leader, Emmet, what they should do to defeat Lord Business.  Emmet tells them the first thing they need to do is to follow instructions when they build.  The group gives a collective groan.  (With their creative and imaginative personalities, the MasterBuilders hate to follow instructions.)  Emmet, thinking of the chaos that had reigned when the group of individual builders all tried to do their own thing: "Guys, you're all so talented and imaginative, but you can't work together as a team.  I'm just a construction worker, but when I had a plan and we were all working together, we could build a skyscraper.  Now, you're MasterBuilders.  Just imagine what could happen if you did that!  You could save the universe."

While attempting to rescue his captured MasterBuilders, Vitruvius trips and falls directly into the path of Lord Business.  Lord Business: "Robots!  Destroy this old man, at once!"  Vitruvius, glaring: "Did you just call me old?"  Lord Business: "Yeah.  So what?"  Vitruvius, picking up his walker: "Well, Junebug, I really prefer the word...experienced!"  Using the walker as a weapon, shield, and launching pad, Vitruvius proceeds to battle the robots, easily defeating them all.  When the dust of battle has cleared, Vitruvius stands, holding his walker threateningly, a pile of lifeless robotic bodies around him.  The MasterBuilders cheer.

Emmet is tied to a battery, watching in horror as Lord Business freezes everyone in his city.  A fellow prisoner, knowing Emmet is the Special, asks him how he is going to rescue everyone.  Emmet, having been told by Vitruvius that the prophecy was made-up, no longer has any self-confidence: "I'm not the Special."  As Emmet shakes his head sadly, the voice of Ghost Vitruvius reaches his ears: "Emmet.  The reason I made up the prophecy was because I knew that whoever found the piece could become the Special.  Because the only thing anyone needs to be special is to believe that you can be.  I know that sounds like a cat poster, but it's true.  Look at what you did when you believed you were special.  You just need to believe it some more."  Emmet: "But how can I just decide to believe that I'm special when I'm not?"  Ghost Vitruvius: "Because the world depends on it."

President Business is about to unleash the Kragle on Emmet when Emmet stops him, pointing at pictures of all the amazing, creative things that people have built out of his Legos.  Emmet: "You might see a mess - -"  President Business, interrupting: "Exactly.  And a bunch of weird, dorky stuff that ruined my perfectly good stuff!"  Emmet: "What I see are people inspired by each other and by you.  People taking what you made and making something new out of it."  Back in the "real world," Dad is looking at his son's creations with new eyes.  Instead of seeing the childish models as trash littering his perfectly-constructed cityscape, he sees them as a valuable addition.  Dad, looking at the scared boy: "Finn.  Did you make all of this?"  Finn nods, telling his father of the imagined villain, President Business.  Dad reaches into a Lego building to get a look at his son's villain.  The Lego character, who wears a suit and tie, is scowling, and bears a marked resemblance to Dad.  Dad, sobered, looks at his young son.  Then he looks around the room that he has always considered his own, stopping to stare at the signs posted everywhere on the model buildings.  They read: "Off Limits," "Do Not Touch," and "Hands Off."  He hangs his head in remorse: "So, President Business is the bad guy?"  Finn doesn't answer.  Dad, recognizing himself in the villain, asks Finn what the hero of the story would say to President Business, if he had the chance.  Back in Lego Land, Emmet extends a hand of friendship and forgiveness to President Business: "You don't have to be the bad guy.  You are the most talented, most interesting, and most extraordinary person in the universe."  President Business's scowl fades.  Emmet: "You still can change everything."  President Business, his face crumpling, drops the Kragle and walks toward Emmet.  Back in the "real world,"  Dad is walking toward Finn.  He kneels down, taking the boy in his arms.  Finn returns his embrace.
