ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Star Wars: Episode 5 - The Empire Strikes Back

Lord Vader orders Han to be frozen in carbonite to test the freezing process in preparation for Luke.  Chewie goes bonkers as Han calms him down, reminding him that he must now take care of Princess Leia in his absence.  Just before Han is placed in the chamber, he and Princess Leia finally share a passionate kiss.  As he's about to be lowered and frozen, Leia tells Han she loves him.  Han: "I know."  The freezing commences, Han is removed and luckily survives the process. Vader gives Han over to the bounty hunter Boba Fett and resets the chamber for Luke.


While Luke is being trained to become a Jedi, Yoda says: "Through the Force, things you will see.  Other places.  The future.  The past.  Old friends long gone."  Luke, losing concentration, causing everything he had been levitating to fall: "Han!  Lei!"  Yoda, shaking his head with disappointment: "Hmmm.  Control.  Control.  You must learn control!"  Luke: "I saw...I saw a city in the clouds."  Yoda: "Hmmm.  Friends you have there."  Luke: "They were in pain."  Yoda: "It is the future you see."  Luke, getting to his feet: "Future?  Will they die?"  Yoda, closing his eyes: "Difficult to see.  Always in motion is the future."  Luke, determined: "I've got to go to them."  Yoda: "Decide, you must, how to serve them best.  If you leave now, help them you could, but you would destroy all for which they have fought and suffered."    


Han is leaving the cause to take care of some personal business. Princess Leia hears of it and the two have a heated exchange about deeper feelings for each other.


Luke and Vader begin their epic lightsaber battle..."The force is with you, young Skywalker. But you are not a Jedi, yet!"

Luke is desperate to find Jedi Master Yoda and begin his training.  Fortunately, he has come across a small, green, elderly being who claims to know where the great Yoda lives; but wishes to cook dinner before he will agree to introduce them.  In truth, this being is actually Yoda, testing Luke to see if he is ready to become a Jedi.  Luke, impatiently rejecting his host's food: "Look, I'm sure it's delicious.  I just don't understand why we can't see Yoda now."  Yoda: "For the Jedi it is time to eat as well.  Hmmm?"  Yoda, laughing: "Eat! Eat!  Hot!"  Luke, spooning some dinner from the pot: "How far away is Yoda?  Will it take us long to get there?"  Yoda, laughing again: "Not far.  Yoda not far.  Patience.  Soon you will be with him."  Yoda: "Why wish you become Jedi?"  Luke: "Mostly because of my father, I guess."  Yoda: "Ah, father.  Powerful Jedi was he.  Hee-hee, hmmm, powerful Jedi."  Luke, frustrated: "Oh, come on.  How could you know my father?  You don't even know who I am.  I don't even know what I'm doing here!  We're wasting our time!"  Yoda, sighing: "I cannot teach him.  The boy has no patience."  The voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke's dead mentor: "He will learn patience."  As Luke looks around, confused, Yoda turns to face him.  Yoda: "Much anger in him.  Like his father."  Obi-Wan: "Was I any different when you taught me?"  Yoda, turning again to look at Luke: "No.  He is not ready."  Luke, finally guessing the true identity of his host: "Yoda.  I am ready!  Ben, I can be a Jedi!  Ben, tell him I'm..."  Attempting to stand, Luke bumps his head.  Yoda: "Ready, are you?  What know you ready?  For 800 years have I trained Jedi.  My own council will I keep on who is to be trained.  A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, hmmm?  The most serious mind.  This one, a long time have I watched.  All his life has he looked away.  To the future.  To the horizon.  Never his mind on where he was."  Yoda, poking Luke with his stick: "What he was doing.  Hmph!  Adventure, heh!  Excitement, heh!  A Jedi craves not these things.  You are reckless!"  Obi-Wan: "So was I, if you remember."  Yoda, coming up with more excuses: "He is too old.  Yes, too old to begin the training."  Luke: "But I've learned so much."  Yoda, reluctantly giving in: "Will he finish what he begins?"  Luke, determined: "I won't fail you.  I'm not afraid."  Yoda: "You will be.  You will be."


Billy Dee Williams

Luke has decided to stop his training to be a Jedi and go help his friends.  As he is about to leave, Yoda tries one more time to convince him to stay: "Luke, you must complete the training."  Luke, full of concern: "I can't keep the vision out of my head.  They're my friends.  I gotta help them."  Yoda, emphatically: "You must not go!"  Luke, stubbornly: "But Han and Leia will die if I don't."  The ghost-like figure of Obi-Wan Kenobi appears.  Like Yoda, Obi-Wan tries to convince Luke to stay: "You don't know that.  Even Yoda cannot see their fate."  Luke, adamant: "But I can help them!  I feel the Force."  Obi-Wan: "But you cannot control it.  This is a dangerous time for you when you will be tempted by the dark side of the Force."  Yoda: "Yes!  Yes!  To Obi-Wan you listen.  The cave.  Remember your failure at the cave."  Luke: "But I've learned so much since then.  Master Yoda, I promise to return and finish what I've begun.  You have my word."  Obi-Wan: "It is you and your abilities the emperor wants.  That is why your friends are made to suffer."  Luke: "That is why I have to go."  Obi-Wan: "Luke, I don't want to lose you to the emperor the way I lost Vader."  Luke, confident: "You won't."  Yoda: "Stopped they must be.  On this all depends.  Only a fully trained Jedi knight, with the Force as his ally will conquer Vader and his emperor.  If you end your training now, if you choose the quick and easy path as Vader did, you will become an agent of evil."  Obi-wan, sternly: "Patience!"  Luke: "And sacrifice Han and Leia?"  Yoda: "If you honor what they fight for...yes."  Obi-Wan: "If you choose to face Vader you will do it alone.  I cannot interfere."  Luke, firm in his conviction: "I understand."  As Luke climbs into his X-Wing starfighter Obi-Wan and Yoda remind Luke to heed what they have taught him.  Obi-Wan: "Luke!  Don't give in to hate.  That leads to the dark side."  Yoda: "Mind what you have learned.  Save you it can."  Luke: "I will.  And I'll return.  I promise."


Admiral Piett, promoted after watching his predecessor executed for failure (see previous clip), has come to deliver news of his own failure to Darth Vader.  Vader, turning to face the admiral: "Yes, Admiral?"  Piett: "Our ships have sighted the Millennium Falcon, lord, but it has entered an asteroid field and we cannot risk..."  Vader, interrupting: "Asteroids do not concern me, Admiral.  I want that ship, not excuses."  Piett, grateful to be alive: "Yes, lord."


The Millennium Falcon, having narrowly survived an encounter with an Imperial Star Destroyer, has landed at the cloud city of Bespin.  Han's old friend Lando Calrissian is talking with Han and his crew as he leads them around the city: "You see, since we're a small operation we don't fall into the jurisdiction of the Empire."  Leia: "So, you're part of the Mining Guild, then?"  Lando: "No, not actually.  Our operation is small enough not to be noticed.  Which is advantageous for everybody since our customers are anxious to avoid attracting attention to themselves."  Han: "Aren't you afraid the Empire's going to find out about this little operation, shut you down?"  Lando: "It's always been a danger that looms like a shadow over everything we've built here.  But things have developed that'll ensure security.  I've just made a deal that will keep the Empire out of here forever."  They finally stop outside a door.  The door opens, revealing the evil Darth Vader waiting to greet them at a dinning table.  Quickly drawing his blaster, Han fires several shots at Vader.  Vader, holds up a hand, deflecting the blasts, then uses the Force to rip Han's weapon from his hand and send it shooting across the room to Vader.  Vader: "We would be honored if you would join us."  As Imperial Stormtroopers block the group's retreat, Lando tries to explain his betrayal: "I had no choice.  They arrived right before you did.  I'm sorry."  Han, bitter: "I'm sorry, too."  Chewie: "Gahhhhh!"

Luke and Vader go one-on-one in an epic lightsaber battle. Vader: "Your destiny lies with me, Skywalker. Obi-Wan knew this to be true."  Vader then backs Luke into the carbonite chamber for freezing, surprised how easy it was to spring the trap.  But Luke uses the Force and rockets out of the chamber and out of danger.  Vader: "Impressive. Most impressive. ...Obi-Wan has taught you well.  You have controlled your fear."  The battle continues until Luke knocks Vader over an edge...victorious for now.


Luke has been instructed to investigate an area that is tainted with the dark side of the force.  Despite being told his weapons would not be needed, Luke has brought them anyway (see previous clip).  Making his way through the misty jungle, Luke suddenly comes upon the evil Darth Vader.  After a brief duel Luke decapitates Vader, sending his helmet rolling to the ground.  As the helmet comes to rest, a small explosion reveals Vader's previously hidden face.  To Luke's surprise, the face is his own.  Yoda, saddened by Luke's failure of his test, gives a disappointed grunt.


While outside scouting the frigid planet of Hoth, Luke Skywalker observes something crash from the sky and decides to investigate.  Before setting out, Luke radios Han Solo to inform him of his plans.  Han, having finished his work setting up sensors, heads back to the base.  Just as Luke is about to get moving, his tauntaun senses danger and begins to get excited.  Luke, trying to reassure his agitated mount: "Steady!  Steady girl.  Hey, what's the matter?  You smell something?"  Luke turns around, but not in time to avoid the swipe of a massive snow creature.  Picking up his legs, the creature drags Luke's unconscious body off to its lair.

Yoda is training Luke to be a Jedi Master. During an exercise, Luke becomes distracted when he sees his X-wing starfighter sink into the swamp. Luke: "Oh, no. We'll never get it out now."  Yoda: "So certain, are you? Always with you it cannot be done. Hear you nothing that I say?"  Luke: "Master, moving stones around is one thing. This is totally different."  Yoda: "No! No different! Only different in your mind. You must unlearn what you have learned."  Luke: "All right. I'll give it a try."  Yoda: "No! Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try."

Peter Mayhew

Luke has escaped his father Darth Vader and is hanging on for dear life--outside on the underbelly of Cloud City. Desperate, he uses the Force to call for Princess Leia, who is currently zooming away from Cloud City on the Millennium Falcon with Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca.  Hearing Luke through the Force, Leia forces Lando to turn around and go back. They do, and rescue the young Jedi just in time!


Harrison Ford

Considered the first for a major movie and arguably the most brutal cliffhanger ever unleashed in movie theaters (and making everyone wait three loooong years!): after Luke endures a major beatdown by Vader, gets his hand sliced off, learns Vader is his father and escapes with his friends--all the remaining heroes (he, Leia and the droids) stare out a large window into space as Lando and Chewbacca depart on the Falcon to find Han Solo who was frozen in carbonite and taken by bounty hunter Boba Fett.  End credits.  What?!!


At the rebel base it has been brought to the attention of Han Solo that Luke has not returned.  Officer: "Sir, Commander Skywalker hasn't come in the south entrance.  He might have forgotten to check in."  Han: "Not likely.  Are the speeders ready?"  Officer: "Uh, not yet.  We're having some trouble adapting them to the cold."  Han, determined to find his friend: "We'll have to go out on tauntauns."  Officer: "Sir, the temperature's dropping too rapidly."  Han, climbing onto a tauntaun: "That's right, and my friend's out in it."  Officer: "Your tauntaun will freeze before you reach the first marker."  Han: "Then I'll see you in h---!"  Despite the risk to his own life, Han rides out into the freezing cold to search for his friend. (Caution: h-word used)


The Empire finds out where the rebels are hiding, but Admiral Ozzel comes out of light-speed too quickly and alerts them. "He is as clumsy as he is stupid," as Vader shows his leadership style by confronting the admiral and immediately executing and replacing him.

The Millennium Falcon and her crew have just made it out of an asteroid field, however they are still being hunted by the Empire and have a Star Destroyer right on their tail.  Han: "Let's get out of here.  Ready for light-speed?"  Han counts down as he and Chewbacca prepare to make the jump: "One...two...THREE!"  To everyone's frustration, nothing happens.  Han: "It's not fair.  Transfer circuits aren't working.  It's not my fault!"  Princess Leia: "No lightspeed?"  Han, defensively: "It's not my fault!"  C-3PO, after another laser blast strikes the ship: "Sir, we've just lost the main rear deflector shield.  One more direct hit on the back quarter and we're done for."  Han, barking orders: "Turn her around.  I said, turn her around!  I'm going to put all power in the front shield."  Leia, shocked: "You're going to attack them?"  C-3PO: "Sir, the odds of surviving a direct assault on an Imperial Star Destroyer..."  Leia, interrupting: "Shut up!"  Bringing the ship around, Han increases speed as he heads straight for the much larger ship.  Captain Needa, shocked by the Millennium Falcon's apparent suicide run: "They're moving into attack position!  Shields up."  The Millennium Falcon, heading straight for the bridge of the other ship, pulls up at the last second and seemingly disappears.  Needa: "Track them.  They may come around for another pass."  Officer: "Captain Needa, the ship no longer appears on our scopes."  Needa, perplexed: "They can't have disappeared.  No ship that small has a cloaking device."  Officer: "Well, there's no trace of them, sir."  Another officer: "Captain, Lord Vader demands an update on the pursuit."  What they don't know, due to Han's fast thinking, he's attached the Falcon TO the Star Destroyer...completely hidden from the enemey! 


Alec Guinness

Finished with his Jedi training for the day, Luke Skywalker is gathering his things together when he notices something wrong: "There's something not right here.  I feel cold.  Death."  Yoda, pointing with his walking stick: "That place is strong with the dark side of the force.  A domain of evil it is.  In you must go."  Luke, wary: "What's in there?"  Yoda: "Only what you take with you."  Luke begins to put on his belt, lightsaber and blaster securely attached, but is interrupted by Yoda: "Your weapons.  You will not need them."  Luke pauses to consider Yoda's words, however, trusting his own sense of fear more than his master's teaching, Luke finishes strapping on his weapons before departing.

Luke makes his way through Cloud City's underbelly looking for Vader...who appears out of nowhere, fighting like an angry hornet!  Vader continues to best the youngster, backing him onto a towering precipice, eventually slicing off Luke's hand.  Vader: "Join me, and I will complete your training. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy."  Luke: "I'll never join you!"  Vader: "If you only knew the power of the dark side. Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father."  Luke: "He told me enough. He told me YOU killed him!"  Vader: "No. I am your father..."  Luke: "No...no...that's not true... that's impossible!"  Vader: "Search your feelings.  You know it to be true."  Luke: "NOOOOOOO!  NOOOOOOOO!"  Vader, stretching out his hand: "Join me, and together we can rule the galaxy as father and son. Come with me, it is the only way..."  Instead of taking Vader's hand, Luke lets go his grip and falls into the abyss!
