ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Movie Ideas, Movie Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 4,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including all the titles that  part of the ScreenVue Vault.

All such service providers are contractually required to keep your data safe, use it only for the purposes agreed, and delete it when it is no longer required. They have agreed not share it, nor use it for their marketing purposes.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Movie Ideas, Movie Views, and Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of content: 
- *Movie Ideas*: Has the "light-bulb icon," where you would use your own movie (Digital, Stream, Blu-ray, or DVD you already have access to) with our cues and details; as this idea is not available as a View or Download.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Mr. Cabret is working at his job in the museum when he hears strange noises coming from another room.  He goes to investigate, moving slowly down the deserted museum.  He opens a door and recoils in shock when flames burst up the stairwell towards him.  Back at their home, young Hugo Cabret is surprised by a visit from his alcoholic uncle, Claude.  Briefly and without compassion, Claude tells Hugo of his bereavement.  Hugo stares, uncomprehendingly.  Then, when the shock fades, Hugo begins to whimper.  Claude angrily tells the boy to pack his things to prepare to move.

Isabelle is pushing her way through a dense crowd at the train station.  Hugo is walking somewhere ahead of her.  The people crowding her pay no attention to the child as they jostle her about, pushing her around like a doll.  Suddenly, she is knocked to the ground.  No one notices.  Instead, the crowd appears to be walking right over Isabelle.  (A trick of photography shows the scared child as if lying under a pane of glass, feet walking over her, but not touching her.)  She is finally able to sit up, and screams out for Hugo to help her.  Hugo immediately turns around toward his friend.  Seated on the floor, people walking all around her, she reaches an arm out desperately to him.  Hugo grabs her, pulling her out of the sea of emotionless faces until she can stand on her own safely.

Since his father's tragic death, Hugo has been trying to fix the automaton that was his father's final, beloved project.  Finally, he believes he has succeeded, and he and Isabelle are watching in anticipation for the robot to come to life.  The small robot is seated at a desk, holding a pen.  The two children look at each other excitedly when the gears inside the robot begin to turn and its hand moves over the paper.  They lean forward eagerly as it begins to write, waiting to see what it will say.  When the robot produces nothing but a few scraggly letters and random scribbles before stopping, Hugo walks away, full of despair.  Hugo, slamming his fist into a table: "What an idiot!  To think I could fix it."  Hugo begins throwing things in his frustration: "It's broken!  It will always be broken!"  He collapses into a chair, crying.  Isabelle attempts to comfort him, but Hugo's disappointment is too profound.  Hugo, sobbing: "You don't...you don't understand.  I thought...if I could fix it, I wouldn't be so alone."

The Station Inspector has an obvious crush on Lisette, the flower-shop girl.  Madame Emilie encourages the shy man to approach her, advising him to smile.  The inspector, an oafish smile plastered on his stiff face, walks so slowly up to Lisette that she is startled when she turns around and sees him.  After saying hello, the inspector is momentarily out of conversation.  After a few awkward moments, he comments on the beauty of her flowers.  When she tells him they are from Gourdon, the inspector quickly latches onto a new topic of conversation.  Inspector: "Ah, Gourdon.  Splendid country, that.  Robust."  He waves his hands expressively: "The weather...the cows and such...mooing.  Perfectly formed udders."  He frowns, realizing he is talking inanities.  Desperate to change the topic of conversation, he asks the first thing that comes to his mind.  Inspector: "Are they...are they...smelly?  Are they smelly flowers?"  Lisette, slightly taken aback, invites him to smell them.  The inspector bends to sniff a bouquet, but his leg brace catches and throws him forward, smashing his face into the flowers and making a loud, creaking sound.  Humiliated, the inspector briefly explains that his leg was injured in the war and begins to walk away.  Lisette, her heart moved, tells the inspector that she lost her brother in the war.  She places a flower in his lapel, and the two smile at one another.

Hugo and Isabelle, both orphans, are hidden in the giant clockworks of the train station.  Hugo sees Monsieur Labisse below, sharing his love of books with a new customer.  He ponders the man for a moment, reflecting on his passion for what he does: "He's got real...purpose."  Isabelle: "What do you mean?"  Hugo: "Everything has a purpose, even machines.  Clocks tell the time, and trains take you places.  They do what they're meant to do.  Like Monsieur Labisse.  Maybe that's why broken machines make me so sad.  They can't do what they're meant to do.  Maybe it's the same with people.  If you lose your purpose, it's like you're broken."  Isabelle asks Hugo (who fixes the train clocks) if his purpose is fixing things.  Hugo: "I don't know.  It's what my father did."  Isabelle, thoughtful: "I wonder what my purpose is.  I don't know.  Maybe if I had known my parents...I would know."  Hugo takes Isabelle to look out over the city.  Hugo: "Right after my father died, I would come up here a lot.  I'd imagine the whole world was one big machine.  Machines never come with any extra parts, you know.  They always come with the exact amount they need.  So, I figured if the entire world was one big machine, I couldn't be an extra part.  I had to be here for some reason."

Georges is explaining to Hugo why it is painful for him to remember his past, when he was a film director.  The creative genius was a pioneer in the field, and he and his wife enjoyed happy years of experimenting with their art.  Georges: "We couldn't have been happier.  We thought it would never end.  How could it?  But then the war came.  And youth and hope were at an end.  The world had no time for magic tricks and movie shows."  Georges remembers burning his beloved sets and costumes.  Impoverished, he was forced to sell his films to be melted down and made into shoe heels.  With the little money he received, he bought a small toy store in a train station, where he has worked, unhappily, ever since.  Georges, bitterly: "My life has taught me one lesson, Hugo, and not the one I thought it would.  Happy endings only happen in the movies."
